Story
Hi, I’m Pixie — Professional Snuggler, Part-Time Comedian I may be part German Shorthaired Pointer and part Blue Heeler (with a few mystery sprinkles mixed in), but don’t let that fool you—I’m more of a cuddle-on-the-couch than run-a-marathon kind of girl. At just two years old, I’ve already perfected my skills: loving kids, making friends with other dogs, giving cats their personal space, and keeping your house accident-free. I’ve got the smarts from my Pointer side and the loyalty from my Heeler roots, but what I really bring to the table is warmth. Think of me as your furry weighted blanket with a tail wag. So if you’ve been waiting for the perfect best friend—sweet, social, and snuggly—well… I’m right here. Now let’s go home and claim our spot on the couch. Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes. A personal interview, reference checks, meet and greet with pet, home visit and a solid vet history are required for adoption.  ##2507063##

Story
Are you looking for a loving dog who would love to take naps on your lap? Emillia is looking for a family that is ready for the excitement of a puppy, but who is already past most of the puppy challenging stages. This sweetheart is crate and potty trained, has all her shot and is spayed and is working on leash training and recall. Her favorite things are playing fetch and tug of war, but she also likes being outside and watching the birds and squirrels. Emillia will need to be in a home with another playful dog to help her build some confidence. When first meeting Emillia she becomes shy and unsure, but she warms up quickly. The vet expects her to be between 50-60lbs, and this girl adores mealtime and treats. The best home for Emillia would be one with a fenced in yard as she blossoms in familiar surroundings. Emillia has done well with children and cats so she should fit in with most households. Emillia is happy to sleep in her crate, in a bed on the floor or in the bed with you at night. When crated she doesn’t make a peep and waits patiently for you to open the door so she can give you all her love. She is in the teething stage, but her love for antlers keeps her occupied. Emillia has a velvet muzzle and belly, unique spots and a brindle mask, making her visually gorgeous. Her foster family adores her and knows once adopted she brighten the life of her family. If you would like to learn more about Emillia please apply with Hero Dog Rescue. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
We are looking to rehome our beloved dog, Malcom, to a caring and responsible household where he can thrive. Malcom is a six-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer/Border Collie mix who is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. He is a loyal, affectionate companion who forms strong bonds with his people, knows basic commands, and has a very active nature, so he will do best with someone who can provide plenty of exercise, playtime, and engagement. He does best in a calm, stable environment and, for his comfort and well-being, needs to be the only dog in the home, as he does not do well sharing space with other dogs. He does not have experience around small children, so a home without young kids or with older children would be the best fit. He would make a wonderful companion for someone who can match his energy level and give him the attention, structure, and love he deserves. Our priority is finding him a safe, understanding home where he can live happily and securely.

Story
Meet Liam! Liam is a handsome 6-year-old Pointer mix searching for his forever home. He’s the kind of dog who can do it all — he’d make a fantastic hiking or running buddy, but he’s just as happy being a relaxed homebody. Whatever your lifestyle looks like, Liam is ready to be right there with you. Liam is wonderful with kids and cats and currently lives with both. He also shares his foster home with teenagers and absolutely adores every little kid he meets. His gentle, loving nature makes him a great family companion. When it comes to other dogs, Liam is dog selective. He does best with calm, laid-back canine companions and isn’t a fan of high-energy puppy antics. In his foster homes, he has done well with older, easygoing dogs — especially when attention is shared fairly. Liam loves his people and wants to be included, and if another dog is getting all the affection while he’s left out, he may politely (or not-so-politely) remind you that he’s still there. Ideally, he’d love to be the center of attention or live with a mellow dog who enjoys doing their own thing too. Liam prefers spending time with his humans rather than engaging in dog play, and he thrives in a home where his need for companionship and balance is understood. Give him love, consistency, and a cozy place to land, and he’ll return it with loyalty and affection. If you’re looking for a devoted, adaptable, and kid-loving dog who can join you on adventures and relax by your side at the end of the day, Liam could be the perfect match If you are interested in adopting Liam, please fill out an application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-1277 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.

Story
Isabelle is a 7-year-old sweetheart with a tender heart, a cautious nature, and so much love to give once she feels safe. She isn’t the kind of dog who shows her full personality right away. Isabelle needs someone willing to give her time, space, and patience — because once she trusts you, her affectionate side begins to shine. Isabelle has some stranger-danger tendencies and can be fearful of new people. She will need slow introductions and time to become familiar with someone new. She is not a “rush right up and say hello” kind of dog — she is a quiet, sensitive girl who needs her people to move at her pace and let trust grow naturally. She also prefers a peaceful environment. Loud noises can make her nervous, and high-energy situations may overwhelm her. Isabelle would do best in a calm, stable home with people who understand shy dogs and can offer consistency, kindness, and gentle guidance. Once she feels secure, Isabelle enjoys the simple comforts: tasty treats, a cozy routine, and a comfortable dog bed for long, peaceful naps. She does well with calm, easygoing dogs and cats, and she may especially benefit from a calm dog friend who can help her feel more confident. Isabelle isn’t looking for a busy household or constant excitement. She’s looking for a soft place to land, patient humans to love, and a home where she can finally relax and be understood. If you believe shy dogs deserve time to blossom, Isabelle may be the one waiting for you. To view additional photos of Isabelle, please visit https://www.pawsumes.com/photos/28057/isabelle To adopt, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-application/ For information about adoption fee, please visit https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-fees/ To learn about the adoption process, please visit https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-process/ ** Please note that the breeds listed are our best guesses based on physical appearance and behavioral traits. No DNA testing has been conducted to verify the breed. As a result, the actual breed or breed mix may differ from our assessment. Thank you for your understanding. **
