Hello everyone, I'm a 4.5 year old 65 pound Golden Retriever that is looking for a family to give me lots of love. I’m very shy at first. In my past life I was pretty sheltered so I haven’t been exposed to much of this big world. I’ll need you to be a bit patient with me as a I learn to trust and experience new things. I really enjoy being pet though and I’m learning what love is; and It’s really great!! I’ve lived my whole life with other dogs, so a home with another dog would be best for me so they can show me the way. I’m sure I’ll gain confidence really fast if I have the help of a doggie brother or sister. In fact, I’m sure of it! I made some friends at the shelter already and I love going for walks with them! Speaking of siblings, I’m not to sure about little humans, so a home with young children is probably not for me. I’m really excited to start a new chapter in life and I know there are some awesome people out there just waiting to love me and give me the life I deserve. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources.
