Hello everyone, I'm a 4.5 year old 65 pound Golden Retriever that is looking for a family to give me lots of love. I’m very shy at first. In my past life I was pretty sheltered so I haven’t been exposed to much of this big world. I’ll need you to be a bit patient with me as a I learn to trust and experience new things. I really enjoy being pet though and I’m learning what love is; and It’s really great!! I’ve lived my whole life with other dogs, so a home with another dog would be best for me so they can show me the way. I’m sure I’ll gain confidence really fast if I have the help of a doggie brother or sister. In fact, I’m sure of it! I made some friends at the shelter already and I love going for walks with them! Speaking of siblings, I’m not to sure about little humans, so a home with young children is probably not for me. I’m really excited to start a new chapter in life and I know there are some awesome people out there just waiting to love me and give me the life I deserve. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. Thor and Faith have been with me since they were about 2 years old. They are now 9. I speak about both because they have never been apart. They are great well mannered house dogs and they cannot be separated. It is with a heavy heart that we part with them. My living situation has changed and it has become necessary. As well as I hope to find someone or family that can truly appreciate these dogs and give them the space they require. These dogs love swimming and playing ball. They are really smart and aim to please. They love just being near you at your feet. And they know how to show affection. I hope someone here can give them a good loving home.

Allie is a beautiful & lovable Golden Retriever mix and has all the qualities that make her a wonderful pup and family member. She's just over a year old and weighs approximately 55 pounds. She has a loving and fun personality and loves everyone and every dog she meets. Her favorite toys are her teddy bear and her ball that she loves to play with. She walks well on a leash and with some practice she'll be perfect. She also loves going for car rides. She's up to date on all her vaccinations, fully housebroken and crate-trained. In other words she's perfect and deserves a happy and fun family who will love her and take care of her forever.
