Story
Meet Loving Levi, an affectionate  3-year-old, 55-pound Goldendoodle with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! Levi is searching for a forever home with a fenced yard and a playful dog companion companion or two. Full of life, love, and loyalty—the three “L’s” that inspired his name—this charming boy will be your loyal, fun-loving friend. Levi thrives on companionship and will happily be your “Velcro dog,” always close by. He adores humans and other animals alike, and while he’s not a fan of being left alone for long, he’s calm and content in his foster home, spending time with his furry friends when his foster mom is away. When she’s home, Levi loves curling up by her feet as she works, and he’ll always greet you with enthusiasm and kisses, making you feel truly appreciated! With his soft poodle coat and an adorable white patch on his forehead (perfect for giving kisses!), Levi is as sweet as he is handsome. Although he currently doesn’t live with kids, Levi is always gentle and polite around them, making him a wonderful addition to any family. He’s well-mannered in his foster home, uses the doggie door to go outside. Car rides and walks are some of his favorite activities, and he’s ready to join you on every adventure. Levi is a healthy boy—neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and microchipped. He’s just waiting for a family to share his endless love and loyalty. Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to saving high-risk animals like Levi. As part of our mission, we travel to the Northeast weekly, bringing pets like Levi closer to their forever families. For more about our drop-off points and times, visit www.CritterCavalry.com. To adopt Levi, contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Levi is ready to bring love and joy to his new family—could it be yours? PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 12, 2025, 12:10 pm

Story
Hudson is a beautiful eight-year-old Golden Retriever mix, weighing about 55 lbs. She came from a loving family who had to move abroad and couldn’t take her along. She has settled beautifully into her foster home, quickly forming strong bonds with the family. She has a quirky side — she “smiles” when you pet her head, spins when she’s unsure, and adorably reaches up to give you a hug to let you know she has to go out. Hudson loves being with her people, and is fully housebroken too. Hudson likes other dogs, is friendly when meeting other dogs, but loves her family's attention, and is happy as the only dog in her home. She walks nicely on leash and loves going on hikes & walks ... and enjoys her backyard romps too. If you're looking for a beautiful, loyal, and smart companion to share your life with, Hudson just might be the one! Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30. If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Only applications submitted directly to Petrescue will be considered.

Story
Clover is a handsome 62 pound, 17 month old Golden Retriever. This handsome boy is a gorgeous, darker red with a deliciously soft coat. Clover is slowly coming out of his shell and acclimating to new things. He is working on his leash training and coming along nicely. Clover is not crate or house trained yet but is smart, eager to please, and good motivated so we are sure he will learn quickly. He has found a true love of toys already and is deliciously snuggly once he has the opportunity to warm up. He just melts into a cuddle bug! Clover would do best in a home with another confident dog to show him the ropes and without young children. With some continued patience, we are sure this boy is going to be a very loyal and loving companion. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Cooper is a gorgeous 68 pound, 17 month old Golden Retriever. Cooper spent his entire life locked in an apartment with his siblings and never experienced life outside of that until coming to us. He has made great progress already in acclimating to all of the new things in his life. Once he is comfortable, he is extremely loving with his people. He is working on his leash training but is not crate or house trained yet. He needs a patient, dog savvy home with another confident dog to show him the ropes. Cooper cannot be with young children and would prefer a home with a fenced yard. Cooper LOVES toys and can usually be found wiggling around with one in his mouth. He will proudly show it off and is also learning to retrieve. This sweet boy can be very jumpy and rambunctious once he is comfortable, so he needs a home committed to continuing to teach him manners. In return, he will shower you with love! Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to NJ for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** All dogs deserve a great home but some dogs have stories that just break your heart and make you cheer for them just a little more. Dogs like Rowdy deserve a family to show him that his experience up until FWFP with humans are not typical! Rowdy wad dumped in rural Oklahoma in a place famous for dog dumps. He was just a 4 month old little puppy that was sick and left out in the winter cold. He almost did not survive. Today, he is a 3 year old, healthy 37 pound Golden Retriever/ Aussie mix. He loves children, adults, seniors and other dogs! NO CATS! Rowdy is a well mannered little fella. Even though Rowdy has lived on a farm, he is not a digger nor does he climb fences. Rowdy is perfectly crate trained and housebroken. He rides in the car with no problem but needs a little more work with leash training. He needs a new family that can give him more attention and help him with leash training. Rowdy loves to be spoiled with smoked marrow bones and lots of hugs and kisses!. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and the perfect forever home for our dogs. We appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
