Story
Hi there, I'm Fern! I'm here to let you know I’m looking for a forever or foster home. At 6 years young, I'm a 79 pound Golden Retriever with a heart of gold to match my fur. I may be a bit skittish at first, but once I warm up to you, I promise to be your most loyal companion. People often say I'm a total doll, and I can't help but agree. While I may prefer the company of humans, I'm indifferent to other dogs. But don't let that fool you—I'm still a total sweetheart. I'm ready to start a new chapter filled with love, laughter, and endless belly rubs. I can't wait to meet my forever family and show them just how special life with a rescue dog like me can be. Are you ready to welcome me into your home? Fern is available for adoption but is also in need of a foster home. To Adopt (or foster-to-adopt), please complete the adoption application here: https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application To Foster, please complete the foster application here: https://anewchancear.org/foster/fostering-application/ Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Amber is a stunning 7 month old, 45 lb purebred Golden Retriever puppy. She is truly delightful! Amber was surrendered to us after she was returned to her breeder for neurological issues. She has seen our neurologist, who is not sure of the cause of her neurological issues. Amber does not seem to have any vision but can hear. It takes her a bit of time to learn a space, but she adapted beautifully to her foster home. She is smart and has learned all about yummy treats, how to do small stairs, and how to walk on leash. Amber loves other dogs but would need a home with a tolerant dog as she will sometimes accidentally walk into them. She does not let her impairment slow her down and is adorable to watch as she prances and romps in the yard. Amber is extremely loving and enjoys being pet and cuddled. She likes to play with her toys but is quite content to take a long nap too. This darling is crate trained, housetrained, and rides well in the car. She is very trainable and would love a home who can continue to devote their time to helping her navigate this disability. In return, she will show you how to enjoy each day. Amber has seizures that are currently well controlled on medication. We will consider a foster to adopt placement for Amber to ensure it is the right fit. Story
My name is Milo Magoo and I am a 3 year old Golden Doodle with a birthday that is coming in the next few days… to turn 3 yrs. old.  I weigh 80 pounds and I am looking for an attentive and dog training family that will really shape and polish me to be the spectacular dog that I have the potential to be.  My current family really has no time to work with me to shape me in to a dog with great manners and emotional control.   I am bored in this home and I need physical and mental stimulation and fun challenges to do.  I am very happy, sweet, and very active with running and playing.  I am a male that is ALL BOY and if I had my wish I would say to adopt me if you have a girl dog in the family.   I would love to have a girlfriend for life!  When I am bored my favorite, yet dangerous, thing to do is eat socks.  So please watch that if you take me home.  It is totally out of boredom.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is tryng to change all this by placing me in the right home that they will review closely.   I am a silver tawny coloring and people just ohhhhh and ahhhhh over the color of my coat of  hair.  If you would like to adopt me please email right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Mention in the email where you live!!!   That helps so much too.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Hello world!   I am so excited to tell you my story of being saved from a shelter that was under siege from parvo.  I survived and I was broken out of the shelter by Critter Cavalry Rescue after spending 4 weeks there and hoping to live through it all. My name is Bridgette and I am about 5 months old and weigh 28 pounds.  They say I have all sorts of breeds probably in my blood line.  They say I looks like a Golden Retriever mix or an Aussie mix or a little Chow or just the best of what God could create.  My foster mom just loves my confidence and my small size and stature but my BIG personality.  How big will I be when I grow up? Who knows except that my foster mom says I have enough cute and cuddles for any size.  I think I will be 40-45 pounds and the perfect size to fit in just about anywhere.  Since I have gotten out of the shelter, I am crate-trained, but still working on the housebreaking because I have NOT been out of the shelter for long. It means that I don’t mind being in my crate and usually keep it clean and dry. I might holler when you first put me in my crate but my foster mom says, don’t be fooled. I’ll settle down with a blanket and toy after a little while. I just have to get used to being without my brothers and sisters and get used to my new family.  You know things change all the time for us rescued dogs.   We go from so many situations while the shelters and the rescues are trying their best to get it all just right for us.  I sleep in my crate at night. I love mealtime! I also love to chase toys. If you get me settled on a blanket next to you, I love a good snuggle time. I’m ready. Come and get me! I am spayed and healthy and loveable and snuggable and I really need a place to belong.  Can you love pretty little me?  Bridgette the golden charm that will make your life so much better.  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask for an application for me.  Tell them where you live please…city and state. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

To adopt please fill out an adoption Application Lacey is a 2mo female purebred AKC Golden Retriever who was surrendered with her littermates by their owner in rural Arkansas. This pup lives in the house with her foster family where she's lovingly cared for while awaiting her forever home. Happy, playful, outgoing puppy! Full of fun and life, very confident and never meets a stranger. Well-socialized, growing up around kids, cats and other dogs. Recommended for children 6 years and older. Instruction has begun with crate training, housebreaking and leash walking. AKC registration.  DOB is 5-29-24. Weighs about 12 pounds, healthy, altered and utd on shots. This is an adorable puppy with a happy, loving temperament who will make a great companion for a family who loves the breed. Here's a note from the foster mom: 'AWESOME PUPPY! Sweet, loving and affectionate. It's so much fun watching her learn what toys and treats are for! She sleeps 6-7 hours in the crate at night, learning how to walk on a leash. Is very in tune with people, very intelligent and eager to please. Plays sweetly with the young kids next door. She's 'learning the ropes' from our big dog, following him everywhere and trying to keep up. Very nice pup, will be a great family dog.'
