Story
Meet Lucy! I’m a 8 year-old Golden Retriever mix weighing about 75 pounds. I’m a gentle, affectionate girl who loves everyone I meet, dogs, and kids included! I’m well-behaved, house-trained, and enjoy my walks where I can show off how nicely I stay by your side. I still have a playful side and love toys, but I’m also perfectly happy being a cozy couch companion. I’m calm, curious, and always ready for attention or snuggles.

Story
Hi, I’m Barney! I’m a 2.6-year-old Golden Retriever mix weighing about 75 pounds, and I’m a happy guy with a big smile that’s always ready to brighten your day. I love being around people, enjoy attention, and I’m always up for a tasty treat. I’m treat motivated, know how to sit, shake, and lay down, and I walk nicely on a leash. I get along well with other dogs, and we’re still unsure how I do with cats and kids. I can get excited and may jump up on people sometimes, but it’s just because I’m so happy to meet everyone! If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate best friend with a fun personality and lots of love to give, I just might be your perfect match.

Story
Fran was rescued from a shelter and day one she was no problem and a delight. She is around 4 years old and very loving and not rambunctious. Fran is very calm and docile although can be goofy when you get her going. She is house trained and knows when it is time to go out. She has been around other dogs and cats at families’ homes and she never had an issue and once my daughters (5 and 10) met her she was a delight and lays next to them while they play. She is very obedient and listens to commands. Does not wonder far off when off the leash but does sniff around. She is the easiest dog to take care of and a big snuggler. She does not chew and respects personal space. I no longer have the time to care for her and would hate to have to put her down as the shelter is not an option due to no vacancy. She is fixed and has all her shots.

Story
Duke is new to program and getting settled in at his foster home.  This guy is a super handsome English Golden Retriever. He is crate trained, housebroken and LOVES dog and human friends. He is a pretty submissive boy, rides beautifully in a car, and would love a home that is active and will show him how much fun life can be. While he is not much for swimming in the pool, he is all in for a good puddle, pond, or splash around! Josey is incredibly smart, affectionate, and full of personality. She loves people even more than other animals and gets along well with both. She is still young and will need additional training, as jumping has been an ongoing issue. She is crate trained and potty trained, and approximately 7.5 months old. She has not been spayed yet but is currently on the waitlist for an appointment with TCAP in Arlington, TX. Josey is going to make an amazing companion for the right person or family. She will come with her food, toys, crate, dog bed, Dog Friendly Co. harness, grooming supplies, feeding bowls and plenty of treats.

Story
Sandy is a 1.5-year-old tan Retriever mix with long legs, a goofy smile, and enough energy to keep life exciting! This tall and lanky girl is always ready for her next adventure and would absolutely thrive with an active family who can keep up with her playful spirit.Sandy loves to run, play, and explore the world around her. Whether it’s hiking trails, trips to the park, or long walks around the neighborhood, she’s happiest when she’s on the move with her people. She’s very social and enjoys being near you, soaking up pets and attention whenever she can. Treats are definitely one of the quickest ways to win her heart, too! This fun-loving girl does still need some work on her basic manners and training. She can be strong on the leash, so a harness is highly recommended to help make walks more manageable while she continues learning. Sandy can also get a little mouthy when she gets excited, so she would do best in a home without young children.Sandy appears to be dog friendly, but as always, a meet and greet is required to ensure compatibility with any current dogs in the home.If you’re looking for a playful, adventurous companion who will happily join you on all of life’s adventures while learning and growing by your side, Sandy may be your perfect match!
