Story
Molly is a registered Golden Retriever. She is two years old. She is very gentle and good natured. She is very loyal and would love you to no end. I think she would like children to play with her and throw a ball to her. She would do good with other dogs. She really is the sweetest dog you could ever own. I want her to go to someone who would love her and give her attention. Please never be mean to her or punish her in any way. She is afraid of loud noise and startles easily.

Story
Maya is 13 months old dog who loves to play, eat and cuddle. Always loves getting pets from hoomans and a huge fan of belly rubs. Eats any type of food regardless of the flavour or brand and she doesn’t care about anything else. Highly motivated for food and one of the most athletic dogs I have ever seen. She is a great company for long walks and loves playing fetch. A very happy dog who only knows giving love to hoomans.

Meet Waverly! Waverly, Wyatt and their mom Winter were found near a ball field. Mom was microchipped to a Golden/Poodle breeder, but the chip was never registered. In hopes of finding her owners, all resources were exhausted, and she was on stray hold for an extended period of time before she was taken into the LHS adoption program.  Waverly is a golden doodle (Golden Retriever/Poodle) She is just a baby so she will need a home with the time and patience to teach her how to be the best doggies she can be.  This sweet girl is great with dogs, cats and kids of all shapes and sizes. She is very friendly, fun loving, eager to please and loves her toys.  Puppies are playful, active, and loving.  If you are interested in adopting Waverly, complete an online application today: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/ If you have the time and patience to raise her to be the best adult dog she can be! $600 donation includes three rounds of puppy vaccines, de wormer, a one-year rabies vaccine, microchip and registration, and spay/neuter.  Please complete an adoption application and someone will reach out to you within 48 hours via email.  *** DFW area only ***   Weight: 8lbs currently and expected to be 45-55lbs full grown  DOB: 2/25/2024 Complete an online application at: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. Story
Winter and her pups were found near a ball field. She was microchipped to a breeder, but the chip was never registered. In hopes of finding her owners, all resources were exhausted, and she was on stray hold for an extended period of time before she was taken into the LHS adoption program.  Winter is now spayed has taken the pledge  'NO MORE PUPPIES!' and fully vaccinated. She tested positive for heartworms and received a ProHeart12 injection, which is the slow kill treatment that's easier on the dog with fewer health risks and doesn't require activity restrictions.  Update from foster mom that is caring for Winter aka Winnie... Winnie is a very sweet, friendly and calm girl. Winnie knows a handful of commands sit, down, no, come here and out(when you want her back out of a room). She is a fast learner and knew her name in one week. She is a pro at nudging your hand to get you to pet her. She is definitely a morning dog and so happy in the morning. Meal time in AM is her favorite time and will graze all day. Winnie has good energy for walks and playing in the yard. She will chase a ball but only leaves it in the yard about halfway back to her human. Winnie may do better with larger dogs, Winnie gets in her kennel on command when I leave for work. Crate and house trained.  She also sleeps on her bed at night next to her foster mom. Rarely will she jump on furniture without being invited. Winnie does well with grooming. If Winnie is the girl for you please fill out an app and the foster mom will be in touch within 48 hours if you are a good match for Winnie.           Age: Approx 3 years old. Adoption fee is $600.00 Complete an online application at: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Charlie wants you to know even with his black fur and scars from puppy strangles, he is handsome, sweet, loving, smart and has all the same love and personality as the fluffy one over there! Charlie loves meeting new people; not around kiddos much. He is practicing his manners and learning his commands. He is eager to learn, well behaved and friendly boy. That would love his own backyard. Or if you're in an apartment with a doggie area to visit often. Cool. Because he is ready willing and able. Charlie is an adorable 9-month-old lab mix currently at 30lbs and growing. We think he will be petite in size. He came to us with a bad case of puppy strangles but is all healed up. He has a little scaring on his face but his beautiful shiny black fur covers some of that up. He is fully potty trained and uses a doggy door. He knows the command sit and we are working on more. He loves taking walks and exploring the outdoors. He gets along well with foster's 2 older dogs and loves to play both with dogs and humans. He has not been around young children but has a sweet demeanor. Charlie is king of the backyard sunshine! He loves to play but is a very chill, loving puppy. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
