Story
Winston is a gentle giant with a heart as big as his 70-pound frame. At 7 years old, this laid back boy is the perfect match for a family looking for a calm, affectionate companion who’s happiest just lounging around the house. We suspect Winston is a mix of Great Dane , which explains both his size and his sweet, loyal nature. While he’s strong, Winston isn’t the high-energy type, he’d much rather nap in a sunny spot, stretch out under your feet, or army crawl across the carpet (one of his favorite things!). He’ll play a little with other dogs, but he tires quickly and is always happy to get back to relaxing. Winston is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms and responding well. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly preventatives to keep him healthy moving forward. He does well with kids (he loves to be loved) and enjoys canine companions, but he isn’t fond of cats, so his perfect home will be feline free. Winston loves food, soft blankets, and all the affection you’re willing to give, he’s a true cuddlebug at heart. Winston is house and crate trained and finds comfort in napping in his crate when he wants some alone time. Although he is very affectionate, Winston can be quite independent as well. He is a wise older dog that is truly perfect for a family looking for a low maintenance companion. If you're searching for a sweet, low key dog who will bring comfort, companionship, and a whole lot of love into your home, Winston is ready to curl up and be your new best friend. Personality traits Gentle, Independent, Quiet, Curious, Friendly, Couch, Loyal

I love him so much. I just don’t have the time for him working full-time job and living in an apartment. I want him to have a place to run around and have fun. He comes with a cage and all his toys.

Bobbi Jo #24174 is a black and white female Great Dane mix. She is approximately 2 years old. She weighs 82.5 lbs.. She has been spayed and microchipped. She was surrendered by the owner on 8/6/26. She appears to be well socialized. Owner advised she does well with children. Owner stated she is good with other dogs. Owner advised that she is good with cats. She is accustomed to being an indoor pet. Owner stated she is housebroken. She is calm and low energy. She is gentle and affectionate. She is heartworm negative. She is current on vaccines. She is leash broken. She shakes on command. She sits on command. Meds: heartworm negative, bordetella/parainfluenza, flea spray, distemper/parvo. There are some dogs who seem to make everyone around them feel instantly at ease, and Bobbi Jo is one of those special souls. This beautiful 2-year-old Great Dane Mix is a large, graceful girl weighing 82.5 pounds, with a gentle heart that's just waiting to find the forever home she deserves... one that will keep her through thick and thin, good times and bad, for better or for worse. Bobbi Jo came to our shelter as an owner surrender, and while that chapter of her life has ended, we're hopeful better days are still ahead. She's calm, quiet, and has lovely manners, making her a wonderful companion for a family or individual looking for a loyal best friend. She does well with children, is friendly with other dogs, and even gets along well with cats, making her an excellent fit for many different households. Bobbi Jo is comfortable living indoors, appears to be housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and already knows how to sit, shake, and heel. She's also heartworm negative. One of Bobbi Jo's most endearing qualities is her natural devotion to the people she loves. She's a good protector of her family while remaining gentle, calm, and affectionate—a beautiful balance that makes her an exceptional companion.

Story
Meet Bearon! This handsome hunk with beautiful eyes is a  7 -year-old, 65-pound Great Dane and Catahoula mix (we think). He's house- and crate-trained and walks well on a leash. He's looking for his forever family and wants a home where he's your only kiddo (human or furry). Bearon is cautious around strangers and appreciates slow, gentle introductions. Once you’re in his circle of trust, though, he’s a total love bug—affectionate, sweet, and devoted. While he gets along with other dogs, Bearon prefers to be the "star of the show" since he is a little protective of his food and toys. An active boy with plenty of energy, Bearon would love a home with a securely fenced backyard where he can romp and play. After some exercise and fun, he’s all about couch cuddles and sleeping by your side. Story
Hello all, I am Scoobie! I am a 8-year-old, beautiful, black, Great Dane and sometimes I even act like I know it! My fommy always calls me hansum, she makes me blush! And if you need to smile, well look no further than me! As you will see, I have a flipped up ear at times! It’s like a comb over ear! It brings a smile to everyone’s face! I’m a big boy at about 120 pounds, and my personality is BIG TOO! So here are the things a hooman needs to know about me.  I would do best being the only pup as I like my things. I don’t share the best with humans or other animals, so I need someone who can keep helping me be the best me like my foster parents do! They are patient with me, work with me, and when I do good things, they give me treats!! So I love doing good things!   I’m very food motivated so I will pretty much do anything you want me to do if you have a treat in your hand! I am also on medication daily that helps me be a better me and will need that medication indefinitely. I am a big couch potato, but I also sleep well in a crate. I am potty trained too! Woohoo!   I am a very strong boy, I don’t mean to be, but I am so I do need someone strong enough to handle my big boy size and strength. My foster mom’s requirements for being my new family are:   Must have Great Dane experience No children  No other pets Patient and willing to continue the training work.  Understands that I will forever be on medication that helps calm me and it works!      If you think you would love to be my new family and would love to give me the home I need to live out my golden years, please let Angels Among Us know!     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
Hi, I’m Lucy! I’m a 3-year-old Great Dane with a huge love for playtime! I’m a sweet, affectionate girl who enjoys running around outside with my friends, giving hugs, and getting all the pets I can! I walk well on a leash, I know `sit` and `heel`, and I absolutely love kids! I’m always ready to have fun, but I also know how to relax and soak up all the love you have to offer. I need to be the ONLY pet in the home, I have been in two multi-dog households and have not done well. I am a very intuitive girl and love to cuddle up to my humans to make them feel better on down days, and I love to follow people around.I’m currently available for adoption! If you’re interested in bringing me into your family, please fill out an application online or call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at 770-887-6480. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11-5, or Friday and Saturday 1-5. All of my love, Lucy /(^.^)\",AVAILABLE"

Story
Rocky is 7 months and 65 pounds. He is a pitt bull and bull mastiff mix. We have had him since we was 8 weeks. Got him from someone who couldn't keep him. He needs training, but is a good dog. He does not need to be around young kids. My daughter is 10, does great with him and all of us older adults. we have another lab mix we rescued years ago and they don't get along but does with our other dog. He is also food agressive to aninals. He does great with our indoor cat. We currently have insurance on him, but can't afford his training. We haven't completed his vaccines but we plan to do so this upcoming week. Amd will fix him as well. Finances have been an issue in finishing vaccines, getting him fixed and training. His insurance will reimburse 80 percent of his training fees. Can figure out how to transfer his insurance to new owner. He has growled at my toddler & lunged at him, that's the main reason for needing to rehome him. He is a very loving sweet boy.Praying for loving home
