Merrick - Great Dane Age: 1 year Good with: Cats: yes Dogs: yes, preferred Kids: yes Location: Brewerton. NY Weight: 136 Merrick is true to his breed a gentle giant He is all love. He was a heart on his chest inside and out He is good with other dogs, cats, kids, ect… working on training, he goes potty outside.  Everything is new for him due to being rescued from a breeding situation, so we are doing a lot of training at this point.. However, he is a quick learner! He loves being around his “pack”. The ideal home for Merrick would have someone who is home most of the time, and is committed to continuing his training. While not required, Merrick would probably do best in a home with another dog to help teach him dog behaviors and keep him company.   Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, the dog is considered available for adoption.  Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate. Just Giants does not adopt outside of the continental US. She is a velcro dog but can zoom with the best of them. She has been very respectful to the young and senior dogs in her foster home. She will do well in any home. She does not have awareness of her size so the littles will have to be watched because when excited she can whip that tail around. The perfect adopter will keep her actively engaged. She is not a couch potato. She loves to run and play and is HIGH energy. Story
This is Trippel! A stunning, handsome, happy, regal, friendly, tall drink of water. He weighs in at 132 lbs, all muscle and charm. Trippel was born in October of 2020 so he’s a little over 3 ½ now. He has a sleek black coat and loves to be brushed. Trippel travels well in an SUV, is housebroken and crate trained. He loves, loves, loves people of all ages. But due to his size and exuberance, we will not adopt him to a home with children under the age of 10. He lived with a cat previously and is very dog friendly. He would do well as an only dog but also would do well with other dog friendly dogs. We are requiring an above ground, fully fenced in yard. He loves going on walks and does very well on a gentle leader. Trippel is very food motivated and will take food off counters. His adoptive family must be ok making sure all food is put away securely. He’s a smart boy and knows when things are left out and assumes they were left out for him. Trippel has a very loud bark and when inside the home, he will let you know when someone is there. He’s an incredible boy that will follow you around, sleep at your feet on a dog bed or on the couch next to you. He’d love to sleep in bed with you but is also happy on a dog bed next to your bed. Local adoptions only. We do not adopt out of the state of Illinois. Trippel is being fostered in a private home. Appointments to meet him will be set up for approved adopters only. His adoption fee is $500 which includes all age appropriate vaccines. He is neutered, microchipped and Heartworm negative. He has also been kept on both flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Hello world, my name is Agatha! I am a 8 month old Great Dane girlie and I'm doing my best to learn how to be a dog over here in my foster home. So far, so good! I like the other dogs and I will need a dog friend in my forever home who can keep showing me how to live the good life! I think I'd probably be fine with cats, too. I like the older kids I've met and I think I'd also like little ones! I am working on my puppy training but my forever family will need to keep working with me since my foster fam says I don't have "manners" yet, whatever those are. I am happy to report that I'm doing well in my crate, and I'm working on potty training but I need frequent trips outside. I'm getting the hang of it though, I promise! Though I can be timid, once I get to know you, I am a total love bug. I am trusting of my human friends and I like to give kisses and cuddles. I will follow you everywhere and lay my head on you after you've had a long day. If you're looking for a lovable lanky lady, I am ready to find my future family and I'd be thrilled to meet you!
