Hi, I’m Blush.   I’m not quite ready to be adopted, but you can come back here occasionally to check my progress and find out when to submit an application. Dog’s Name: Blush Location: Naperville, Il. Date of Birth: 12/01/2025 Gender: Female Breed: Great Dane Color: Chocolate Dog's Weight: 12 lbs Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?:  All Cats Kids?: All kids Training: Leash trained: We're working on it Crate/Kennel:  We're working on it Potty trained: We're working on it Car:  We're working on it Meet Blush  Blush is a super-energetic, goofy girl bursting with confidence and personality. She has absolutely no fear and approaches the world with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a whole lot of charm. At just 8 weeks old, she’s already showing herself to be a bold, rambunctious, and feisty puppy who keeps everyone laughing with her antics. Blush is highly food-motivated and eager to learn, which makes training both important and rewarding. She also has a sweet, cuddly side and loves settling in close once she’s had a chance to burn off some energy. Blush will thrive with an adopter who is committed to continuing her training and setting consistent boundaries—this is especially important as she grows. Because of her size, energy, and confidence, she is best suited for someone with experience with large or giant breed dogs, though a dedicated first-time giant breed owner who is ready to invest time in training and structure could also be successful. She does not require another dog in the home but would do well with canine companions who can match her playful energy. A secure, fenced yard is strongly recommended to give her a safe space to run, play, and explore. Blush needs a family that understands puppies take work—but with that work comes incredible reward. With training, structure, and lots of love, Blush is going to blossom into an amazing companion for the right home. If you’re ready for a joyful, high-energy pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Blush may be your perfect match Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. Smooch is an 8-week-old sweetheart with a gentle, observant nature. He’s the kind of puppy who takes it all in—always watching, listening, and making sure he knows what’s going on around him. Because of that, he’s often the first to alert you when something new pops up. While he can be a little shy at first, his loving personality shines once he feels safe and supported. Hi, I’m Gunner and I’m ready to find my forever home. Dog’s Name: Gunner Location: Kaukauna, WI Date of Birth: 03/03/2022 Gender: Male Breed: Great Dane Color: Black Dog's Weight: 124 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs Cats?:  Unknown Kids?: Older kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides Well in car  Meet Gunner! Gunner is a curious, affectionate boy who is settling back into rescue life after being returned due to his owner needing to move. He’s currently learning the daily routine and doing a great job adjusting. Gunner is crate trained and is re-learning how to sleep comfortably in his crate at night. True to his inquisitive nature, Gunner likes to know what everyone is up to — he’s a bit of a busybody and proudly so! He enjoys watching the world go by from the window and will happily let you know when someone passes by. He’s playful and energetic, occasionally getting the zoomies, but he also loves his downtime and is perfectly content lounging on the couch with his people. Gunner can get excited at times, which may show up as jumping or mouthing, but he’s actively working on his manners. He redirects well with toys and consistency and continues to make great progress. A fenced yard would be ideal for him to safely burn off energy and explore. Gunner would thrive with an adopter who has Great Dane or large-breed experience, as he’s still polishing his manners. Due to his excitement and jumping, he would do best in a home with older children. He previously lived with a dog sibling and would likely enjoy having other animal companions, though he’d also be happy as the center of attention. A fenced yard or an adopter committed to providing regular exercise and enrichment is highly recommended, as Gunner loves to explore and stay engaged. Gunner is a loyal, entertaining, and loving companion who’s ready for a fresh start with the right family — one that can appreciate his nosy charm, playful spirit, and couch-snuggling skills. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. Hi, I’m Lani and I’m ready to find my forever home. Dog’s Name: Lani Location: Lake In The Hills, IL Date of Birth: 6/1/2021 Gender: Female Breed: Great Dane Color: Tan Pint Merle Dog's Weight: 117 Gets along with: Dogs?: All dogs, but needs slow introduction. Cats?: Yes Kids?: Yes Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Lani Lani has the sweetest soul and has truly blossomed in her foster home. She’s come out of her shell and is now showing her silly, playful personality, complete with happy moments that make you smile every day. Lani is eager to please her people and forms deep, meaningful bonds with those she trusts. She’s still adjusting to free-roaming in a home, and some everyday things — like the dishwasher or a long hallway — can catch her off guard. But with each day, her confidence grows, and she continues to amaze everyone with how far she’s come. Slow and steady is Lani’s way, and she’s absolutely thriving. Lani’s forever family will be patient, gentle, and understanding, knowing that the best things take time. In return, she gives the most beautiful reward: unconditional love. She would do well as the only dog or with a calm male dog companion. Lani is also great with kids and enjoys being part of a loving family. She can comfortably handle a full workday in her crate — and she loves it! A crate is a must for her comfort and security (she’ll need a big one — 54” please!). Lani may still be building confidence, but in the right home, she will continue to shine and become the devoted companion she’s meant to be. Hi, I’m Meadow and I am ready to find my forever home! Dog’s Name: Meadow Location: Mokena, Il Date of Birth: 09/27/2022 (approximately) Gender: Female Breed: Great Dane Color: Harlequin Dog's Weight: 92 Gets along with: Dogs?: Yes, but needs a slow introduction.  Preferably older or laid back personality Cats?: Unknown Kids?: Yes Meet Meadow Meadow is a loving, gentle soul who is looking for the calm, quiet home she truly deserves. She was returned by her adopter through no fault of her own—city life, with its bright lights and constant noise, was simply too overwhelming for this laid-back girl. Meadow is much better suited for a peaceful suburban setting where she can relax and feel safe. Since arriving in her foster home, Meadow has been settling in beautifully. She has formed a particularly sweet bond with her youngest human foster sister and clearly enjoys gentle companionship and affection. Meadow is calm, affectionate, and happiest when she’s near her people soaking up attention and cuddles. Meadow has met the resident dogs in her foster home with mixed reactions. A young, energetic 7-month-old Great Dane puppy proved to be a bit too much for her, and introductions with the other resident dogs are being handled slowly and thoughtfully. Because of this, Meadow may do best as an only dog or with calm, well-matched canine companions following careful introductions. This sweet girl does not require an adopter with giant breed experience—just a family willing to invest time, patience, and love. Meadow is eager to please and will thrive with gentle guidance and consistent training. She does have a few quirks worth noting: Meadow may counter or table surf (though she’s polite and doesn’t take anything!), and if given the opportunity, she may try to bolt out the door, so a secure home and mindful handling are important. Meadow is ready to blossom in a quiet, loving home where she can feel safe, cherished, and understood. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion with a heart full of love, Meadow may be the perfect match for you. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. Story
Story
Story
Hi, I’m Tracie and I’m new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name: Tracie Location: Plano, IL Date of Birth: 06/01/2024 Gender: Female Breed: Anatolian Shepherd Color: White / Black Dog's Weight: 85 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?:  All Cats Kids?: All kids Other?: Horses Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Meet Tracie Tracie’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her heart remains incredibly soft. She spent several months as a stray in Tennessee, lovingly looked after by kind community members before a family was able to bring her inside as a temporary foster. From there, she made her way to Just Giants—and we are so grateful she did. Tracie is the true definition of a gentle giant. When you approach her, she immediately lays down and sweetly offers her belly for rubs. She is extremely docile, calm, and polite. Tracie waits patiently until she’s invited onto the couch and is just as content lying nearby, quietly keeping you company. She enjoys cuddling but never demands attention, making her a wonderfully respectful companion. Tracie is still finding her confidence and tends to try to stay out of the way, but with time, patience, and love, we believe her personality will continue to blossom. She wants to be part of the family—she just needs reassurance that she belongs. Tracie will be an excellent match for a first-time giant breed owner. Her gentle, easygoing demeanor makes her a joy to have around. She is well-suited for families with children of all ages thanks to her calm and tolerant nature. While she will do fine with other dogs, she does not require a canine companion to thrive—human love is more than enough for this sweet girl. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key, affectionate dog who will quietly steal your heart, Tracie may be the perfect addition to your family.
