Story
Hello Everyone, My name is Arthur and I’m a 7 mo old adorable Great Dane puppy who is as sweet as can be. I am looking for my happily ever after. I was confiscated due to poor living conditions and I’m now enjoying life with my foster family as I wait for my forever family. Investing your time and love into me will be so worth it!! I am an absolute sweetheart. I’m a bit shy at first but we are working on that. I am a sweet, loving and smart lil boy who just wants a loving family. I will need a little time, confidence building, love and patience adjusting to my new home. I am good with children and other animals. Please add a lotta unconditional love, sloppy kisses, tail wags and endless happiness to your family and contact jbrescuerangers@yahoo.com for an adoption application and bring me home. I will come with the works (neutered, up to date on everything, micro chipped, fecal, heart worm tested, monthly heartworm, flea and tick prevented, a free vet visit and medical insurance). What more could a new family ask for? Love and Kisses, Arthur

Hi, Eli and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: Eli Location: Fox Lake, IL Date of Birth: 4/08/2025 Gender: Male  Breed: Great Dane Color: Black Dog's Weight: 125 Gets along with: Dogs?: All dogs Cats?:  All cats Kids?: Unknown Meet Eli Eli — a handsome young Great Dane with a playful personality, a gentle heart, and all the potential to become an incredible lifelong companion. At just 18 months old and 125 pounds, Eli is still very much a youngster. He has that perfect balance of playful energy and laid-back charm. He loves a good play session with his canine friends but is just as happy relaxing once he's gotten his wiggles out. Eli has never met a stranger. He loves everyone he's encountered and greets life with a happy, easygoing attitude that makes him a joy to be around. He's dog friendly, cat friendly, rides wonderfully in the car, and walks nicely on a leash, making him an easy companion for everyday adventures. Like many young giant breed dogs, Eli is still learning the finer points of being a well-mannered gentleman. He hasn't had much formal training yet, but he's eager to learn—especially if treats are involved! He absolutely loves food, making positive reinforcement training a fun and rewarding experience for both him and his future family. While his interactions with children are currently unknown, Eli's friendly, social nature suggests he has the potential to fit into many different types of homes. Continued training, structure, and consistency will help him grow into the amazing adult dog he's meant to be. Eli is looking for a family that will embrace his playful spirit, continue teaching him good manners, and include him in all of life's adventures. Whether it's a walk around the neighborhood, a road trip, or an evening relaxing on the couch, Eli is happiest simply being with his people. If you're looking for a sweet, goofy young Great Dane who's ready to learn, eager to love, and guaranteed to make you smile, Eli may be the perfect addition to your family. Hi, I’m Paprika and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: Paprika Location: New Smyrna Beach, FL Date of Birth: 1/20/2020 Gender: Female Breed: Great Dane Color: Black Dog's Weight: 130 Gets along with: Dogs?: MUST utilize a slow introduction with dogs Cats?:  None Kids?:  Unknown Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Startles easily, but rides Well in car once she settles in Meet Paprika Paprika is a sensitive, intelligent, and affectionate Great Dane who is learning to navigate the world with growing confidence. She is a thoughtful and observant girl who forms strong bonds with her people and enjoys being close, often relaxing nearby once she feels safe and secure. Paprika thrives in a calm, structured environment where routines are predictable and expectations are clear, helping her feel comfortable and confident in her surroundings. She is very trainable and has already been making wonderful progress. Paprika responds well to cues like “let’s go” and “touch,” shows great check-in behavior, and is learning how to disengage from things that may initially make her unsure. While she can be sensitive to sudden movements, close proximity, or new situations, she is learning to recover more quickly with calm, consistent guidance and reassurance. Paprika is dog-selective and still in training. She can be reactive (barking or lunging) when dogs are too close or if she is surprised, but she is showing steady improvement. At a distance, she is able to observe calmly, disengage, and respond to cues. She is not currently appropriate for direct dog interactions, but she is learning to stay regulated and composed around other dogs. Paprika does best with a balanced routine that includes short walks, structured outings, and plenty of downtime. After activity or training, she settles in nicely and enjoys relaxing on her bed or quietly near her people. She would do best in a quieter home with a patient adopter who understands her need for consistency and is committed to continuing her confidence-building journey. With time, structure, and gentle leadership, Paprika will blossom into an incredibly loyal, loving, and rewarding companion. Hi, I’m Snoop and I’m ready to find my forever home! • Dog’s Name: Snoop• Location: Wilmington, IL• Date of Birth: 7/1/25• Gender: Male• Breed: Great Dane• Color: Harlequin• Dog's Weight: 88 (currently underweight but gaining nicely) Gets along with:• Dogs?: Dog friendly with proper introductions. Snoop enjoys playful interactions with other dogs. Due to his large size and enthusiastic play style, he would do best with a confident dog companion who enjoys big-dog play. Slow introductions recommended.• Cats?: No cats recommended. Snoop has a high chase drive and would do best in a cat-free home.• Kids?: Older/larger children recommended due to his size and playful Dane energy. Training: • Leash Trained: Working on leash skills and continued training• Crate Trained: Has done well seeing another dog through a crate; additional crate details unknown• Potty Trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents• Car: Loves car rides! A seatbelt leash or barrier is recommended because this big guy likes being close to his people and may try to help navigate from the front seat. Meet Snoop! Snoop is a stunning Great Dane with a giant heart and a personality just as big as he is! Snoop is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being with his people. He has met many new friends and has won them over with his friendly greetings, loving personality, and Dane-sized kisses. He is the kind of dog who bonds closely with his humans and enjoys being part of the family. This handsome guy has that classic Great Dane charm — goofy, loving, playful, and sometimes unaware of just how big he really is! Snoop approaches life with enthusiasm and would thrive with a family who understands giant breeds and can continue helping him learn his manners. Snoop is very food motivated (which makes training much easier!) and is already catching on quickly to commands like “sit.” He is eager to please and will benefit from a family that provides consistency, structure, and positive guidance. When it comes to dog friends, Snoop enjoys meeting other dogs but brings a lot of playful energy. He would do best with a confident canine companion who appreciates an enthusiastic playmate. Smaller or timid dogs may find his giant-sized excitement a little overwhelming. Snoop is not recommended for a home with cats, as they are just a little too exciting for him. After recovering from his recent medical care, Snoop is feeling better, gaining weight, and getting ready for his fresh start. Now he just needs the right family to help him become the amazing companion he is meant to be. If you love Great Danes and are looking for a goofy, affectionate, oversized best friend with so much love to give… Snoop might just be your guy. Hi, I’m Bam Bam and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: Bam Bam Location: Grand Rapids, MI Date of Birth: 6/1/2023 Gender: Male  Breed: Great Dane Color: Tan Dog's Weight: 140 Gets along with: Gets along with:*Dogs: Yes! BamBam loves other dogs. Puppies can be a little overwhelming at first, but with slow introductions, he adjusts well to their playful energy.*Cats: Has been around cats and has done well. Continued slow introductions are always recommended.*Kids: Yes Training: Leash Trained: Walks loose leash Potty Trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides well in car Meet Bam Bam BamBam is 140 pounds of pure sweetness — a mellow, tender-hearted gentle giant who believes the best days include a nice walk, a good nap, a car ride, and plenty of love from his people. This handsome boy has settled beautifully into his foster home and has found his perfect routine. He wakes up, heads outside to do his business, enjoys his breakfast, and then happily settles in for some serious relaxation time. He loves exploring the world on walks and watching the neighborhood from his favorite “perch” on the porch. This sweet boy is great with people, kids, and other dogs. BamBam has also shown that his gentle personality extends to feline friends. He has spent time around a cat in his foster home and handled it like the laid-back gentleman he is. As with any new friendship, slow introductions are recommended. He truly believes everyone on the sidewalk is there to meet him, and he will happily stop and wag until he gets the attention he knows he deserves. Puppies can be a little overwhelming at first, but with slow introductions, BamBam adjusts well to their energy. BamBam is potty trained, leash trained, and an excellent passenger for adventures. He LOVES car rides and hops right in, ready to go wherever life takes him. He does not currently know formal obedience commands like sit or stay, but he is learning and does respond well to helpful cues like “leave it.” An adult dog training class would be a great way to continue building his skills and confidence. Like many Great Danes, BamBam has a little independent streak and sometimes likes to think things through before deciding if he agrees with your plan. Treats and toys are not always enough to convince him, but his sweet personality and willingness to learn make him a joy to work with. He is currently learning more obedience skills and already responds well to helpful cues like “leave it.” An adult training class would be a wonderful way to continue building his confidence and bond with his forever family. BamBam would be a great match even for a first-time giant breed owner. He would enjoy having another dog friend but could also be perfectly content soaking up all the love as an only dog. A fenced yard where he can stretch his long legs would be wonderful, but he has also shown that he can enjoy city life. BamBam is truly a special soul wrapped in a giant dog body. If you are looking for a loyal shadow, porch buddy, road trip partner, and oversized best friend, BamBam may be the gentle giant you have been waiting for. Hi, I’m CC and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: CC Location: Fort Atkinsom, WI Date of Birth: 6/08/2025 Gender: Female  Breed: Great Dane Color: Blue Merle Dog's Weight: 77 Gets along with: Dogs?: All dogs Cats?:  All cats Kids?: All kids Training: Leash Trained: Walks loose leash Crate Trained: Goes to crate/kennel on command Potty Trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides well in car Meet CC CC — a stunning blue merle Great Dane with a playful spirit, a heart full of love, and just the right amount of sass. At just around a year old, CC is still very much an oversized puppy. She approaches life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a toy in her mouth whenever possible. Toss her a ball or hand her a stuffed toy, and you've instantly become one of her favorite people. She has plenty of puppy energy but also settles nicely into a routine, making her a wonderful balance of fun and companionship. CC's story began with uncertainty after she was found as a stray in Arkansas. Despite her rough start, she hasn't let her past define her. She's incredibly sweet, eager to bond with her people, and ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own. This beautiful girl is potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on a loose leash. She listens well, responds to correction, and is eager to please. Like many young dogs, she's still polishing her manners and would benefit from continued training to learn basic commands such as sit and down. Her excitement can sometimes get the best of her, especially around children, and she may jump up to say hello, but she's making great progress with consistency. CC enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those with calm, respectful personalities. She can be hesitant around pushy or overly energetic dogs, likely because she had to compete for resources earlier in life. She would do well with a mellow canine companion or would be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only princess. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. One of CC's funniest quirks is that while she loves going places, she sometimes needs a little encouragement to get into the car. Once she's inside, though, she's the perfect passenger and often spends the ride peacefully napping. CC would make a wonderful companion for a first-time giant breed owner who understands the commitment of raising a young giant breed dog. She doesn't require a fenced yard but will need regular exercise, continued training, and plenty of opportunities to play. Most of all, she wants a family who will love her, include her in everyday life, and appreciate her goofy, affectionate personality. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with model-worthy looks, puppy charm, and a heart ready to love, Miss CC is waiting to meet you.
