Story
Hello I’m Blondie a 12 wk old female mix Great Dane . I’m all legs and puppy . I’m playful , sweet , sleep all night in my crate and I’m already spayed. I’m good with kids and dogs , I’m learning potty outside & I’m ready for my forever home. Our adoption process is usually quick but may take up to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application on our website, PawsUp4Rescue.org/adopting as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require them to be present at the meeting to ensure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalize the adoption. If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for 6 months and will gladly consider your family for another dog. Hello, I’m Odin. I’m a 14 week old, neutered Great Dane and I’m all clumsy legs and love. I’ve got lots of energy and I love to play! I’m learning to potty outside and I’m sleeping all night peacefully in my crate. I’m good with people and dogs alike, I just want to love everyone! Story
Hello Everyone, My name is Arthur and I’m a 7 mo old adorable Great Dane puppy who is as sweet as can be. I am looking for my happily ever after. I was confiscated due to poor living conditions and I’m now enjoying life with my foster family as I wait for my forever family. Investing your time and love into me will be so worth it!! I am an absolute sweetheart. I’m a bit shy at first but we are working on that. I am a sweet, loving and smart lil boy who just wants a loving family. I will need a little time, confidence building, love and patience adjusting to my new home. I am good with children and other animals. Please add a lotta unconditional love, sloppy kisses, tail wags and endless happiness to your family and contact jbrescuerangers@yahoo.com for an adoption application and bring me home. I will come with the works (neutered, up to date on everything, micro chipped, fecal, heart worm tested, monthly heartworm, flea and tick prevented, a free vet visit and medical insurance). What more could a new family ask for? Love and Kisses, Arthur

Story
Matilda — 10/10, Would Adopt Again  Reviewer: Her very lucky foster Product: One (1) Matilda Model: Great Dane / Hound mix Year: 1 year old Weight: ~55 lbs of pure joy I give Matilda a solid 10/10 and honestly don’t know how she hasn’t already been scooped up. Pros: Exceptionally happy girl (tail wag included at no extra charge) Friendly with strangers, dogs, AND cats — a rare triple threat Listens well (yes, really)  Housebroken (huge win, zero complaints) A total joy to foster and be around Beautiful medium-large size with a graceful, leggy frame Cons:  May cause excessive smiling  Will improve your mood daily you may wonder how you lived without her Matilda is that perfect blend of sweet, social, and easygoing. She fits right in wherever she goes, greets everyone like an old friend, and seems genuinely delighted to just be part of the action. She’s the kind of dog who makes fostering feel unfair because you immediately want to keep her. If you’re looking for a happy, well-mannered, loving companion, Matilda checks every box and then some. Final verdict: 10/10 — highly recommend adopting this girl immediately. If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will be in touch! The adoption fee of $400 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm, and any other necessary medical treatment to ensure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe the breed, since our pups all come from shelters, we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *Please note that we are a foster home-based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Story
Hi, I’m  and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: Aristotle Location: Oak Forest, IL Date of Birth: 1/17/2023 Gender: Male Breed: Great Dane Color: Black Dog's Weight: 115 Gets along with: Dogs?: All dogs Cats?:  All cats Kids?: All kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose leash Crate Trained: Working on it! Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides well in car Meet Aristotle He is a smart, deeply loyal dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Once Aristotle trusts you, he becomes the kind of companion who wants to be by your side through everything. We want to be honest: Aristotle isn’t the easiest dog in the shelter. He can be anxious in new situations and may need time to warm up to unfamiliar people. He does best with patience, consistency, and adopters willing to let him move at his own pace. Because of this, he would likely thrive in an adult-only home or one with older children who understand boundaries and respectful interactions. What makes Aristotle so special is how rewarding it is to earn his trust. Beneath his cautious exterior is a goofy, affectionate dog who loves attention, enjoys routines, and forms incredibly strong bonds with his people. He may never be the dog who loves everyone he meets — but he will love his person with his whole heart. Aristotle is looking for someone who understands that the best relationships are sometimes built slowly. If you’re patient, compassionate, and looking for a deeply loyal companion, Aristotle may be the perfect match for you.
