She is now a healthy weight, has a nub tail and we did a Gastropexy (stomach tacking) when she was spayed). We were told she has a chicken allergy so she’s been eating lamb and rice food, with no issues. She has no idea how big she so her goal in life is to be a lap dog. Hank is a two year old Great Dane mix who is looking for a home with a patient adopter. He is learning to trust people and needs time and encouragement to show him that things are not scary. Earning his trust is extremely gratifying - he is a sweet, scared boy who is learning to love affection and the comforts of his foster home. Hank likes inappropriate chewing (but he is learning) and enjoys quietly chewing small pieces off of soft blankets and toys. He likes to follow other, more confident dogs. Hank ignores our cat, is house trained, and has excellent leash manners. He is crate trained and is working on being less reliant on that safe space as he learns to explore his world. Hank would be a great fit for a home with another dog to show him the ropes. Due to his size and his tendency to flee from scary things or sudden movement, he probably would do best in a home without younger children. Meet Misty! She's a smart lady who is smart as a whip! She's crate trained, mastered many commands (sit, down, off, mat, enough, go to your room, here, all done- more than most kids :). She loves to run, play fetch and be wherever you are! She's a year and a half old, and was lucky enough to have professional training donated to help her find her forever home. Whoever adopts her will receive at least one free hand off session from her trainer to help her transition go perfectly! Her ideal family would be somewhat active (she needs to run around a yard at least a few times per day). She gets along well with other dogs, but calmer dogs are best. Misty loves to play, but she can get very excited if the other dog is too energetic! She would do well with older children. Younger children and cats would require a lot of supervision. Her trainer thinks she would be a great agility dog, but she is smart enough to do anything you want to train her to do! She will require some active parenting to teach her the rules of your house, because she is so smart, she may try to make her own activities if nothing fun is provided! She's potty trained now (we had some overnight accidents until she started going in her crate at night). I got Vera from a breeder, she’s almost 6 months old now. Her and my other dog are best friends and play constantly, and she loves to try to play with my cats although they’re scared of her due to her being so lanky and awkward. She isn’t fully potty trained, she still has accidents by the door if I don’t get there fast enough. She has some issues with testing boundaries/limits. She barks close to your face when you tell her no and can get a much. I’m chronically ill so not able to train her to the extent she needs, which is why I need to rehome. She’s very cuddly when tired, I’m never allowed to lay by myself. She loves to lay on top of me whether it’s my legs or stomach or head. She’s a sweet girl, but I’d say she’s mostly independent. I just don’t want her to have continued behavioral issues due to me not having the time/energy for her.
