Story
My name is Javi. I am a big, solid, handsome boy! I was being surrendered to a high kill shelter with my sisters when I was saved at the last second...in the parking lot....before we entered the pound :) Now THAT is a RESCUE STORY!!! I am a BIG boy with a soft heart. I love to snuggle and get love from all the dogs in my foster home. I am a little slower to cuddle with my people until I know you are MY people! I am still shyer than my sisters from our ruff beginning. However, I have been working hard to learn to love and trust like sissies and am ready for YOU!! I especially love the tiny one who doesn't get that I'm just a giant teddy bear. I have the most adorable eyes and get so excited for treats, in fact kids are my FAVORITE :) Have you ever tasted their fingers?? Chicken nuggets and Cheerios ALL DAY LONG!! but I digress..... I want my furever family, little ones included and so if you like BIG BIG DOGS, APPLY!!! I am going to be WELL over 100# so must love BIG MUTTS! Some basic information about Javi; he is male, Great Dane/ Labrador Retriever mix, and is expected to be extra large sized, 100+ when fully grown. I am smart and sweet and will be great with another dog to play with, a confident and social dog will help me be social too. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Hello I am a young Great Dane named Petey! I am true to my breed and am a gentle giant. I can be a little nervous at first but warm up quickly. I weigh 100 lbs and am a Velcro dog so no small kids! Please take care if there are small children around, Petey is so big he would be like a bowling ball to children. I am great with other dogs and cats! I prefer my person though so I really don't care if I have a playmate I just want to be with my person. I am potty trained and don't chew. I am a couch potato and will snuggle you at night and keep your feet warm. I really don't know my size like most Great Danes. Experienced adopters only! Adoption fee for Petey is $350

Story
Argo is a whole lotta dog. He is a lot of energy, a lot of derpiness a lot of love and a whole lot of fun. He does well with other dogs but doesn't always know is own strength or an appropriate stopping point because he is still very much a puppy. He strikes me as a retriever puppy who was never taught anything including how to trust or the benefits of working with a person. Luckily he naturally wants to figure things out. He is highly trainable and would benefit from a medium to high activity level home.

Story
My owners dumped me out on the busy roads of Hamilton County and left me to fend for myself. As you can see I did not do a great job of finding food! Lucky for me Cincinnati Animal Care picked me up and took me to the shelter where I was fed and had a safe place to rest. When my stray time was up I was immediately picked up and brought to Harlequin Haven!! I now have tons of toys, plenty of food and a very soft bed, plus other Danes to play with!! Update 9/2: I am now ready for adoption!! I have gained weight and been spayed and am just a happy young lady!! Interested in adopting me? Click here >>https://hhdane.com/hhdane/procedure.htm

Story
I was purchased from a backyard breeder and when my owners needed help and wanted to return me, she refused to take me back. I am not house trained, and I play too rough for a home with small children. My owners cared enough that they drove me over 2 hours to get to the rescue so that I can find the right forever home. Until then I have tons of toys to play with and as soon as I get some vaccinations I can play with the other dogs, until then I have cats to play with. Update 10/7: Great News I am NOW ready for adoption!!! Grandma says I get to pick who I want to live with, and I am going to be picky because I plan on living a very long and happy life!! Plus, Grandma said since I love laying on furniture so very much that I MUST be allowed on furniture and if you do not want a 150-pound dog laying on your furniture then I am NOT the Dane for you!! Please do not forget I am a puppy and I cannot hold it 8 hours, I will need to go potty during the day so someone MUST be home or able to come home for me! Interested in adopting me? WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Hobbs - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Oh my, it's BIG puppy, but puppy cuteness overload just the same going on here!!! This sweet boy has almost ALL the boxes checked - Affectionate - check Sweet - check Huggable and Kissable - double that check Playful - check Cute as a button(the big 4 hole kind!) - oh for sure that's a check Pawsome family members - yep, that's a check The family - no check :( ...yet! The name Hobbs is often thought to be a name that implies a pioneering spirit, a natural born leader, highly focused, and achievement oriented. Enduring hardship to try out new things come naturally and also being energetic and confident. Your heart’s desire is to help and care for those you love. You treasure family values and traditions and are willing to sacrifice yourself for the sake of others. Oh wow! Do I have a pawsome name or what?!! I am still just a puppy, although a big puppy, still just a puppy at heart. Playful, goofy, sweet, active... I has got it all. Being around 7 months and around 71ish lbs I still have some growing yet to do. But no matter my size I just want a loving family and a safe home. Remember, I might be big in size but that just means more of me to love you! I does do great with people but would do best with older kids, as I would hate to accidently knock over a little one. I also gets along with the other foster pups and would love having a playful sibling to have fun in the yard together stealing...err did I say that out loud? I really meant to say sharing toys!! I am working on my house training and almost have it down completely. I'm a smart cookie so it'll be a walk in the park. Speaking of which, I love going for walks and would do great with an action adventure family that goes on lots of outdoor activities. I would make a great companion for hikes/camping and neighborhood strolls or any other adventures you want to try out. I'd sure be game to give them a whirl too!! With my short sleek shiny coat, a quick wash, rinse and towel dry and I'm good to go, fairly low maintenance. That's always a good thing, cuz you know what that means don't you?! Oh yeah, it leaves lots of extra time for my 'spoil me rotten' time!! Are you searching for that boy that will be your constant? Always there for you, having your back? A big fella with an even bigger heart? Look no further, I just might be that boy. I just need YOUR help getting that last box checked!!

Story
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 11th, 2023 at the Warren County Career Center from 11am - 3pm! Kali is looking for her forever home! She is a one year old Great Dane and weighs 98 pounds. Kali is slow to warm up to people but once she is comfortable she will be having zoomies all day! She is still unsure about sudden movements, and new things but her confidence is growing everyday! Getting in the car can be a little scary for her but we are optimistic that with time and patience, she will love car rides! In terms of house training, she is starting to notify us that she needs to go outside. Some of her favorite things are the couch and ANY type of food. Even though she is a big girl she can curl up pretty small and loves to cuddle. If you're looking for a big couch buddy she might be your match! Kali is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

These pups are in Bellevue, Kentucky too!

Story
Mabel, a spirited soul with a heart full of hope, embarked on a journey that would change her life forever. With her paws patterning the pavement of a bustling street, she chanced upon a house bearing a sign that read, "Vacancy for potential foster dog available." Curiosity sparked in her eyes, Mabel couldn't resist the allure of a better life. She wondered what it meant to be a foster dog, but the promise of something more enticing than the uncertain streets beckoned her inside. The warmth that enveloped her upon entering was unlike anything she had ever known. A caring foster mom welcomed her with open arms, and Mabel's heart swelled with gratitude. In this newfound haven, she discovered the joys of a loving home. As days turned into weeks, Mabel's health improved, and her foster mom shared the news that she was ready for a forever home. It sounded even better than her foster home, and Mabel was ready to embrace whatever lay ahead, for she was simply along for the ride. In the comfort of her foster home, Mabel revealed her true self. She had a fondness for treats, a love for scratches, and an insatiable desire to be in the company of people. Little humans held a special place in her heart, and she would shower them with kisses to express her affection. She had mastered the art of sitting and being a good girl, especially when treat time arrived. Mabel's cozy bed became her sanctuary, and she hoped her future family would have one just as comfortable for her. Her easy going nature led her to bask in the sun, where she would diligently watch over her newfound territory. Although she could be a bit selective around other dogs, she found harmony with those who respected her need for space and calm interactions. Additionally, Mabel was kennel trained, a testament to her adaptability and good manners. While she couldn't type emails herself, her foster mom graciously offered to answer any questions on her behalf. Mabel was a delightful presence, roughly 85 pounds of pure charm, and at around five years old, she was ready to share her love and companionship with a forever family. With her affinity for children and her serene disposition, she was destined to bring joy to any home. So, to anyone in search of a loyal companion who adores treats, cuddles, and sunny days, and a COUCH, Mabel is the perfect match. She is patiently waiting for the day when her forever family will come to get her!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
