We definitely think there is a Dane in their family background, but of course we cannot be sure. What we are sure of is that they both are very lovable and just happy that they are safe and well fed after having been abandoned on a country road. We think a family with a yard, or time to take them for long walks would be the ideal environment for these two. Sterling was found as a stray along a busy highway. He was very thin, had a terrible rash on his chest, severely infected ears, and his demeanor was so sad and dejected that we assumed at first that he must be a relatively old guy. Well, did he show us! Now, after a few weeks, feeling a lot better and just loving everybody around him, he is a big goofball who loves to play with toys, take himself for a walk( yes, he holds his leash himself) and take long naps on the sofa when it is just too hot to go outside. He loves to interact with other dogs - big and small - and will invite them to play with him, but then gets intimidated when they do (do not tell him we told you this, please) and retreats back inside. You cannot help but fall in love with this guy! This very handsome youngster is Bluey, surrendered by his people because they could no longer care for him. He is 10 months old, weighs 65 pounds is neutered. He is listed as a Great Dane/Pit Bull mix. Precious boy is a bit timid, shy, and uneasy at this time. In the short time we spent together, Bluey began to warm up. I feel his true personality will begin to show the more interaction he receives. He walks well on a leash. He is a gentle, mild-mannered, low-key boy. He likes treats and will sit for them. I could not interest him in toys or balls, only treats! He is friendly and allowed me to pet him and show him affection. This is a hard post to make, but we’re trying to find a great home for our dog Evie. Evie was born 4/1/21 and is a Lab/Great Dane mix, around 95 lbs. She’s a really good dog, smart, loyal, affectionate, and very well trained. She walks well on a leash and knows sit, down, place, left, and break. She loves interaction and being involved with her people, and that’s honestly a big part of why we’re looking for a new home. With two toddlers and a newborn, we just aren’t able to give her the attention and involvement she needs and deserves. She’s also a great watchdog, use to being around our 2 toddlers She has gotten in some scuffles with our husky, Because of that, I think Evie would be best as the only dog in the home

You see Davey has one of those happily contagious personalities that immediately brings a smile to your face. He is a friendly, gregarious, intelligent and super sweet Anatolian Shepherd mix who just outright loves everyone of all ages alike. Davey has never met a stranger and he'll readily initiate you into his "Oh What a Joyous Day! Club" if you'll let him. 🥳 Davey was found by an Ellis County municipal Animal Control at the local Walmart. He remained at their shelter unclaimed for two months - a hard thing for any puppy but harder still for a big pup. He quickly became a staff favorite though and enjoyed his daily yard time playing with the other shelter dogs when given the chance But Davey needed a real opportunity to bring his engaging personality into the limelight and so here he is now with Flying B - we're hoping to give him those wings which will allow him to fly into his right home this time. Davey is is approximately 10 months old, 85 lbs, housebroken, walks well on a leash, rides well in a car, fully vetted & neutered. He still needs monitoring indoors as his nose is counter high and he still falls victim to temptation occasionally.
