Story
Hello, my name is Bindi! I am a 6 year old female Great Dane that weighs approx. 135lbs. I was surrender to RAC due to my family no longer being able to care for me. I am a very calm girl that would love to find a peaceful FURever home to spend my golden years with. I am house broken, and crate trained. I walk well on leash. I would make a perfect companion for a single person or a mature family. I am suggested with children over the age of 13 that understand my age and energy level. I would prefer to live with dogs around my size and not too wild. If you have other dogs, a meet and greet is suggested to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, up to date on my basic yearly vaccines, and heartworm negative. If you are interested in making me a part of your family, please complete an adoption application located here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ . RAC staff will be in touch on the next steps.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. April 18, 2024, 11:22 am

Story
Guinness was seized from his owner by animal control as part of a cruelty investigation. He was severely malnourished. We are so grateful to be put of his journey to a better life. Guinness has put on weight nicely and has adjusted well to the pampered life. He gets along with dogs of all sizes but needs slower introductioms to dogs who are his size or larger as he can be dominant initially. Once he is comfortable, he is great with xl dogs as well.Guinness has spent alot of time around young children and is great with them but can knock them down on accident. He likes to go for walks but does pull pretty strongly on the leash. He is crate trained and normally very quiet. His foster mom says that he absolutely loves toys! Guinness is 2 years old and he is ready for a family that will give him the life he should have had all along. ##1947841##

** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** FOR INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTACT Melody Ostman; g.r.i.t.andproudofit@hotmail.com; 214-766-2457 ** I live in on a dead-end road in  a rural unincorporated area outside of Ferris, TX. When stray dogs or neighbor's dogs move through, they do just that move through. However, i n March of 2023 these two dogs showed up and hung around for more than a couple weeks. Unfortunately, this property has no fence or gates and I have not been able to keep them safe or can control where they go. I have been in fear they would get shot, poisoned or run over since I live off a state highway.    Both are chipped.  They had a female owner who says she gave them to someone and does not want them back but would not say who she gave them to. When they showed up on our dead-end road, it was clear they were dumped. Dumped dogs stay in the area they were dumped and is why they hung around here. They do seem to respond to females since their first human was a female.    The folks at the place I called about the chip gave me this information. -both dogs were adopted at 6 months old and have been together since they were 6 months old.  -Both were rescues, one from Ft Worth and the other was from Dallas -Female mastiff mix 03-07-2022  -male great dane mix 03-24-2022 -Both were spay/neutered at the shelters before they were adopted -they were inside dogs, so the chip owner said, so they are house trained. -They get along with other dogs, people and children. My granddaughter is 5 yr old and they bring their dog and there have not been any issues -the female will hold back if she's not familiar with you and will bark. She lets the male, who knows no strangers, approach new situation. Once she sees the coast is clear she'll be right up in the middle of needing attention.  -the male is so laid back, let's the female do her thing weather eating or getting attention and is very patient! -Both are pure LOVE muffins  -Both are very loyal, stays around -They both understand basic commands like sit, down and understands some hand gestures, I put my hand up for stop and the both sit at attention great!   Odie is part of a bonded pair with Kitty and they have been together since six months of age so would really like them to find a home together. Story
Meet Annistyn, the Majestic Alpha Great Dane! Hey there, dog lovers!  We are thrilled to introduce you to Annistyn, our beautiful and lively five year old Great Dane in search of her forever home. Annistyn is the epitome of grace and strength. She's a stunning, sweet, and loving girl who adores being around her humans. She's a natural-born Alpha, ready to lead her pack with love and loyalty. This majestic girl is known for her impressive jumps, so make sure you have a tall fence to keep her safe and secure while she enjoys her playtime. Annistyn is the life of the party, and she gets along splendidly with dogs Labrador-sized and larger. She loves to make new friends and share her exuberance with them. However, Annistyn does have a strong prey drive and is not a good fit for households with cats or small animals. She's house trained and crate trained, which makes her an all-around good girl. We're looking for an experienced Great Dane owner who can provide Annistyn with the love and guidance she deserves. If you think you're the right match for this magnificent lady, please get in touch with us! Let's give Annistyn the forever home she's been waiting for. Please like, comment and share me so I can go home to my forever family soon!! White Kisses requires all dogs to be in training within thirty days of adoption. Training is crucial for puppies to learn lifelong skills and to understand their place in the family pack. It is also essential part of us getting to know each other and to help me become a well mannered adult GREAT Dane!  For more information about White Kisses adoption process and an application please visit www.whitekissesgreatdanerescue.com/adopt ##1199719##
