Meet Ruger, an 8-year-old guy with a calm and easygoing personality! From our volunteer observations, he seems to enjoy social interactions with people and likes to sniff and explore his surroundings. Ruger tends to be laid back in playgroup settings and appears to get along well with other dogs, though he can be vocal when excited. Come meet Ruger today!

Story
Location: Fort Worth, TX (I’m looking for a home within 3 hours of DFW) DOB: 3/3/2025 Hi, I’m Lilith—and I’m a sweet girl who’s still learning just how good life can be. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people or experience new things. The world is still pretty big and sometimes a little scary to me. But if you give me a little time and show me I’m safe, I warm up and become a loving, loyal companion. Once I trust you, I’ll want to be right by your side wherever you go. I really love my foster family—especially my furry sister! Having another dog around helps me feel more confident, so I think I’d really like a home with a doggy friend. I haven’t met cats yet, and while I haven’t lived with young kids, I did meet a small child once and happily laid down to get some gentle pets. I’m a pretty laid-back girl most of the time, but I do have my fun, goofy moments! I love playing with toys—especially squeaky ones—and I’ll even toss them in the air and play by myself. If there’s a toy around, I’ll assume it’s mine (sharing is something I’m still learning, but I’m not mean about it!). I walk nicely on a leash, though I do like to look around at everything since so much is still new to me. I ride great in the car and usually just relax in the backseat. I know how to “sit” and “shake,” and I’m working on “down.” I’ll go into my crate easily, though I might whine for a minute when you leave—but I settle down quickly. I’m also learning about house manners. I’ve figured out the doggy door (yay me!), and I’ll usually let you know when I need to go outside. I’m still getting the hang of it, though, so I’ll need a little patience as I keep learning. I’m a good eater and not possessive about food, but I might try to sneak over and finish another dog’s meal if they leave any behind—can you blame me? 😄 More than anything, I just want to feel safe, loved, and part of a family. I think I’d do best in a home where someone is around a lot and where I can continue to build my confidence at my own pace. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate girl who will blossom with love and patience, I just might be your perfect match. 💕 https://forms.gle/G2dJx2NV4JXZcZ9F6

Story
Location: Mart, TX (looking for a home within 3 hours of Dallas/Fort Worth) Date of Birth: 5/3/2021 Luna is a stunning Great Dane with a gentle heart and a whole lot of love to give. At 4+ years old and over 115 lbs, she may be a big girl—but don’t let her size fool you… she’s really just a soft, snuggly sweetheart at her core. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a moment and you’ll quickly see her affectionate side shine through. Once she trusts you, Luna lives for love—especially her signature “nose nibbles” (her version of the sweetest little kisses 💕). Luna absolutely adores kids and does well with cats and dogs, making her a wonderful addition to a family home. She has a laid-back personality overall, but still enjoys getting out, having fun, and especially going for rides—tell her it’s time to load up in the truck and she’s all in! She is house trained, kennel trained, and already knows several basic commands including sit, come, stay, lay down, and shake—making her an easy, well-mannered companion who’s ready to fit right into your life. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle giant who will shower you with love, snuggles, and nose nibbles—Luna is your girl 🖤 Apply here! https://forms.gle/G2dJx2NV4JXZcZ9F6

Story
Location: Dallas, TX (needs adopter within 2-3 hours of DFW) DOB: 7/22/2015 (estimate) Penni, is a beautiful foster Great Dane and is 10.5 years young, but don’t let that number fool you—she’s still got plenty of sparkle left. She’s the perfect blend of laid-back couch potato and sunshine-loving goofball. Movie marathons? Her favorite. Sunbathing in the yard? Absolute bliss. A little romping around when the mood strikes? Yep, still got it. She is a true Velcro Dane—always by your side, quietly keeping watch, making sure her person is safe and loved. If you’ve ever wanted a gentle, devoted bodyguard who leans more into cuddles than chaos, she’s your girl. She’d thrive in a calmer, homebody-style home, ideally with someone who enjoys being around most of the time, as she’s not a big fan of being alone. Other furry siblings would be a joy—she’d love the companionship and playtime. If you’re looking for a loyal soul to share your couch, your sunshine, and your heart, this sweet girl might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. https://forms.gle/G2dJx2NV4JXZcZ9F6
