Story
Meet Rena — playful, cuddly, and absolutely overflowing with love. She’s the kind of girl who greets you with full-body wiggles, happy kisses, and those long legs bouncing in every direction. Rena is a smart girl, too. She loves puzzle toys and enjoys figuring things out, which makes playtime both fun and a great way to keep her mind busy. She thrives when she has space to stretch out and really run, so she’d love a home with room to zoom and burn off her joyful energy. After playtime, she’s all about snuggles and soaking up attention. Rena is housetrained, walks nicely on a leash, and is ready to bring her big heart (and long legs!) to a family who will adore her as much as she’ll adore them. If you’re ready for a meet and greet, kick off the process with an application at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt. Our application is thorough but there are no right or wrong answers - we just want to make sure you and the pet are the perfect match. Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone interview. Our adoptions include a 2-week trial period with fully refundable adoption fees during that period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer transportation services and have happy families as references. We value transparency, so don’t be afraid to ask us anything.

Story
Location: Fort Worth, TX (my adopter is within 2-3 hours of DFW) DOB: 7/17/2022 Hey y’all — I’m Majesty, and I’m a very sweet girl looking for my forever home. I can be a little shy at first. Quick movements, loud noises, and very active dogs make me nervous, but once I know I’m safe, I relax and show my loving side. I don’t love being home alone and can get anxious when my family leaves. I do much better when I have a furry companion with me — I really enjoy having another dog around to keep me company and help me feel secure. I’ve been a very good girl in the house and haven’t destroyed anything. I’m fully house-trained, comfortable using a doggie door, and I haven’t had any accidents indoors. I walk nicely on a leash and like to stay close to my person (or any dog walking with me). I rarely get on furniture and am perfectly happy sleeping on my dog bed in whatever room my humans are in. I love attention from my family. I give lots of kisses to Mom and I’m still building confidence with Dad — but I definitely love his attention too! I might even scoot my furry sister aside sometimes so I can be first in line for pets. My dream home would include another friendly dog to keep me company and play with. I think I’d be okay with kids, but I have a very enthusiastic, always-wagging tail, so older kids who won’t get bonked might be best. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who just wants love, safety, and a furry friend by her side, I’d love to meet you. https://forms.gle/G2dJx2NV4JXZcZ9F6

Story
Location: Rowlett, TX (needs adopter within 2-3 hours of DFW) DOB: 11/15/2024 (estimate) If you’re looking for a giant personality in a slightly smaller Great Dane package, meet Kiva! This one-year-old sweetheart is here to prove that the best things really do come in long-legged, clumsy-cute bundles. The Professional Lap Dog Kiva is fairly certain she’s lap-sized. Her favorite pastime is climbing right into your lap to deliver an enthusiastic, up-close “kiss storm.” She’s a world-class snuggler who leans in with her whole heart (and body) just to be close to her people. Curiosity & “The Great Escape” Kiva is an explorer at heart, with curiosity as big as her ears. She’s been known to test a fence or two in the name of adventure and is currently enrolled in Belonging 101, learning that staying home is actually pretty great. She’ll need a securely fenced yard (tall and sturdy!) and humans committed to keeping her safely contained. Social Life & Skills Dog-Friendly: Kiva is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to romp with. Feather-Free Zone: She has a strong prey drive and believes birds and small critters are for chasing, not coexisting. A home without cats or birds is best. Smart & Food-Motivated: Kiva knows her basic commands and is eager to learn—especially when treats are involved. She walks nicely on leash and is ready to be your go-to walking partner. Toy Destroyer: Stuffed toys beware! Kiva considers de-stuffing a competitive sport and prefers durable toys that can keep up with her enthusiasm. Kiva’s Perfect Match Kiva is looking for a family that appreciates the gentle-giant spirit, has a sense of humor, plenty of sturdy toys, and an empty lap ready to be filled. If you’re ready for lean-in hugs, goofy Dane smiles, and a whole lot of love, Kiva is ready to belong to you. https://forms.gle/G2dJx2NV4JXZcZ9F6
