Story

Meet Kamari Rose. She is a beautiful and sweet two year old old pup looking for her forever home. Her DNA test came back with 50% Great Pyrenees and 30% heeler/cattle dog with lots of other breeds mixed in to make up the remaining. Kamari is looking for an active family or individual who enjoys a dog who is active and ready to be up and at your side when you go about your chores around the house, who wants to go-go-go (a nice hike, rigorous neighborhood walk, or playing fetch at the park or in the yard) and then cuddle up for some relaxation back at home. Kamari is curious and friendly. She LOVES meeting new people and wishes everyone would play with her or give her attention. She is highly trainable (treat motivated but also really responsive to verbal praise and gesture/attention as praise. She knows sit and down. She is gentle with children. She can live with other dogs and even cats. She is at once a snuggle bug and an adventurer. She is excited to meet you in the hopes you are a great match!

Story

RODEO HAS GOTTEN ALONG WITH DOGS WE HAVE INTRODUCED HIM TO THAT ARE HIS OWN SIZE. PROPER INTRODUCTION WOULD BE NEEDED TO EVALUATE IF HE'S GOING TO GET ALONG WITH AN EXISTING DOG IN A HOME BUT BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE AND STRENGTH, WE BELIEVE HE WOULD BE A GOOD MATCH FOR A DOG HIS SIZE. APPLICANTS MUST LIVE IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES IN AN ADULT-ONLY HOME (NO APARTMENTS) WITH A PRIVATE YARD. RODEO is the definition of a Rhinestone Cowboy! Not only does he have stunning good looks, but his DNA results prove that he is quite a unique gem of Great Pyrenees/Aussie/Border Collie. Our rescue has been working with a certified professional dog trainer to help us get to know Rodeo and set him up for success. Rodeo is an incredible dog that would do best with an adopter that has experience with the large working breeds and structure in the home. He would not be a good dog for a first-time dog owner. Mostly comprised of Great Pyrenees, he has the potential to be protective of his family. He doesn’t know his own strength and size at times, so we have been working on him staying calm and focusing on his handler. Because of Rodeo’s grand stature, he would require a home with a yard (NOT AN APARTMENT) and no small children that he could inadvertently knock over or small pets. Rodeo estimated date of birth is January, 2019. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and whoever is lucky enough to adopt this rooty tooty cowboy will get an in-home dog training lesson as part of his adoption. Now that’s something to YEE-HAW about! --- If you are interested in adopting Rodeo please fill out our adoption application by clicking this LINK. Applications are required PRIOR to meeting one of our animals and are used to set up a safe and successful adoption. Please don't be shy and answer the questions thoroughly. Story

Ahoy, Mateys! If you are looking for a first mate who is always ready for the next adventure, Rootbeer is your guy!At just 8 months old, Rootbeer is a big, goofy ball of happiness who approaches life with an infectious enthusiasm. Whether he’s romping around the yard, exploring new places, or flopping over for belly rubs, he finds joy in just about everything. His tail rarely stops wagging, and he has a way of making everyone around him smile.Rootbeer is incredibly affectionate and loves being with his people. He’s the type of dog who wants to be part of whatever you’re doing—whether that’s a hike, a trip to the beach, or simply relaxing at home after a day of fun. He’s eager to please, enjoys learning, and is currently working on his leash manners and basic commands with his foster family. He’s a smart boy who responds well to positive guidance and continues to make great progress every day.He absolutely loves other dogs and would likely enjoy having a playful canine companion, though he’d also be happy soaking up all the attention himself. Because he has shown prey drive toward cats, we are currently seeking a home without feline friends.Rootbeer is a Great Pyrenees mix, so he will grow into a large to extra-large dog (90+ pounds). He will do best with an active family that has room for him to stretch his legs, continue his training, and include him in everyday life.If you arere looking for a loyal best friend with a goofy personality, a heart of gold, and enough love to fill your home, Rootbeer is ready to come aboard.Come meet your new first mate!

Story

Hi! My name is Mika. I’m big, soft, cuddly, and always excited to see you when you come home. One of my favorite things in the world is giving kisses—I take that job very seriously! I’m full of love, affection, and tail-wagging enthusiasm. In fact, my enthusiasm can sometimes be a little overwhelming because of my size, so you may want to move any valuables out of tail range when I’m excited to see you.
