Because of his protective nature he sleeps indoors due to noise and nocturnal animals. Her name says everything! We were contacted about this staff favourite that was on the kill list at a remote shelter in kern County. Anytime a Great Pyrenees is presented to us for rescue, we run towards getting the pup to safety. These are the greatest dogs. Sweet Pea is beyond sweet. What a fantastic family dog she is. She is so friendly and easy. Sweet Pea is a bomb proof dog. She came to us, filthy, matted and stinky. She is now groomed and feeling better than ever. Great beginning to er new life. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. My name is Billy. I am a 2 year old neutered male Great Pyrenees Mix. I am a very loving and affectionate dog. I would love to go on long walks or hikes. Billy came with 6 other dogs named Dorian, Newton, Tucson, Desiree, Groot, and Sade from a fellow rescuer. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Charlotte just turned 10 years old. I rescued her 7 years ago from a shelter where she was being treated for heart worms and kept in a crate for hours on end. For this reason, she will not use a crate. She needs a home with a yard and humans who are home most of the day. I work 12 hr shifts and she has lost all ability to be home alone during that period. She can dig out of the patio and climb over the gate. She even opened the slider. I used a dog walker but she refused to go back inside unless wearing a spike collar, bc she can back out of a harness. She got kicked out of doggy daycare because she hurt herself trying to escape. When I’m home, she’s well behaved and sweet. She likes to play, go on walks, and get pet. She is best with kids under supervision who understand boundaries and don’t try to push past her or mess with her face. She likes calm dogs but no cats. I am heartbroken to have to rehome her but I can’t create a better situation for her and it’s not fair to keep her.

Not only does he have stunning good looks, but his DNA results prove that he is quite a unique gem of Great Pyrenees/Aussie/Border Collie. Our rescue has been working with a certified professional dog trainer to help us get to know Rodeo and set him up for success. Rodeo is an incredible dog that would do best with an adopter that has experience with the large working breeds and structure in the home. He would not be a good dog for a first-time dog owner. Mostly comprised of Great Pyrenees, he has the potential to be protective of his family. He doesn’t know his own strength and size at times, so we have been working on him staying calm and focusing on his handler. Because of Rodeo’s grand stature, he would require a home with a yard (NOT AN APARTMENT) and no small children that he could inadvertently knock over or small pets. Rodeo estimated date of birth is January, 2019. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and whoever is lucky enough to adopt this rooty tooty cowboy will get an in-home dog training lesson as part of his adoption.
