If you would be interested in bringing beautiful Snowman into your heart and home, please copy/paste the following link into your browser for an application. HOWEVER, if you are not certain you are ready for a dog in your life, and all family members are not on board, please do not proceed to this step. www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shpr Ah, the beautiful Snowman - so much to say. This dog is a jewel. The quintessential "gentle giant". A big baby. Snowman came to us in terrible shape. He only weighed 45 lbs. His coat extremely matted. Intact. Thankfully, he was heartworm negative. For that we are grateful. From the minute he walked into our facility, his life began to change. It started with a nice bath, getting all his vaccines up to date, his heartworm test, and all his preventatives being brought on board. Next, we started on those mats. He was so good and cooperative as we worked to get them out - even though I'm sure it hurt. During all of this, you could literally see the relief on his face, and the happiness to be WITH someone, someone who cared. Now, he's been neutered, and we've continued to work on his mats and have most if not all, out. He's put on 15 lbs. Needs more - much more, but he looks so much better already. And we've learned that he loves other dogs. He is sharing a space with another bigger dog - Prince, who is also listed on this site. They are best buds. Snowman is a total sweetheart, and loves people. He will make a fantastic family dog. He'd love to know what a family who truly loves him looks like.. Right now, he weighs 60 lbs, but needs to gain more. He is about 3 years old. This is a wonderful dog. He is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped. His adoption fee is $400. www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shpr

Please contact Kady Hammer (KadyH@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Big fluffy girl! CALYPSO NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Calypso        Best Guess for Breed:   Great Pyrenees/Lab mix     Best Guess for Age:   5 years        Gender:   female Approximate Weight:   85lbs  Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have not seen Calypso with cats or kids but she can be tested. Calypso is very friendly with people! Currently Living At: SC Rescue Campus Special Adoption Considerations: Calypso is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.  We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Calypso is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweet girl needs a new home through no fault of her own. She's eager to once again have her own humans - Great pyrenees are known for being quite attached to their people! Long sniffy walks and world exploration with them is on her wish list, as are a cushy dog bed and quality kibble. But you know what's right at the top of the list? Being safe and loved and under her own roof for all her days. Shelter staff say LOVES people. She's in her prime as an adult, well out of the puppy yips, and is more than ready to ease into her new humans' home and hearts. In exchange, they get the immense amount of love and loyalty she is storing up for her new family. What do you say? Is that going to be you? What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Odin is a truly handsome, young, 88 pound, Great Pyr boy that was born 1/2/23 and is looking for a family to love and chill with.  This big boy is fully grown and is the so very easy going and good natured.  He was raised with his brother Thor on a country property owned by a senior lady who has come to realize that both the brothers need homes where they can be an inside dog and part of the family.  She cannot provide that and so is now willing to let each one go to separate families that might have children (he loves children) and to be a part of maybe even living with other dogs or cats.  He is good with everyone he meets and all creatures.  This boy is not housebroken as he has never been inside for any length of time to learn the rules and the signals for potty breaks.  He is a loving and easy dog to have around and we want him to become a part of a family life that offers him a big dog bed and lots of love and guidance.  He is good with meeting new people and doesn’t bark excessively at all.  He will bark if he is bored outside in a pen.  He plays nicely and is fun and happy.  If you are interested in this one year old handsome boy please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and let us know where you live:  city and state and let’s start a conversation about him possibly becoming a part of a special family lifestyle.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.           PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 12, 2024, 11:19 pm

Story
Curious Civic is our most handsome freckled face, 80 lbs. Great Pyrenees mix boy that is just so laid-back guy that is just so wonderful to consider for an adoption.  He has a beautiful blue eye and that could be from so many different breed mixtures that influence his good looks.   This boy is under a year of age and at times can be dog selective if there is an alpha that tries to dominate him.  He is just won’t take being pushed around.  Most Great Pyrs will not.  It is their breed and nature of the breed. He walks great on a leash, enjoys car rides and has a nice disposition that is loving and mild mannered.  He would be a wonderful couch companion for watching anything YOU want on TV.  He is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro chipped If you are interested in this boy please contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   He is ready to go! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 12, 2024, 11:19 pm
