Louie is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees mix, approximately 2-3 years old, who was released by his owner. Louie is friendly and loves people. He will do best with kids over 6 due to his size (he is currently 90 pounds). Louie should do fine with other dogs but NO CATS for Louie. He is housetrained. Great Pyrenees are typically affectionate, patient, and gentle with children, but they can also be independent thinkers. They do best in homes that appreciate their guardian instincts and can give them space, consistent guidance, and plenty of love. Louie has tested negative for heartworm, has been neutered, and is current on vaccinations. You will receive health records and a bag of Hill's Science Diet pet food upon adoption. Adoption donation $280. Please complete the pre-adoption questionnaire at: https://www.cchspets.com/adoption-pre-qualifier We will contact you via email. Please check your spam/junk folders!

Story
We’re rehoming our sweet Great Pyrenees, Luna, and this is not a decision we’ve taken lightly. We brought Luna home about 1.5 years ago to help guard our property and chickens, and she has been a loyal, gentle presence ever since. Shortly after, we found out we were expecting our first child, and life has become much more full and hectic than we anticipated. Luna deserves more time, attention, and space to thrive than we’re currently able to give her. She is about 2 years old, “small homestead” raised, and has a natural instinct to watch over her space. She is incredibly sweet, loyal, calm, and protective in the best way. We’re looking for a home where she can have room to roam, ideally with land, livestock, or a family familiar with the breed. She would do best with someone who can give her the time and purpose she was made for. Our hope is to find someone who will love her as much as we do and give her the life she truly deserves.
