Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Althea! She's approximately 10 weeks and a Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard mix. She's super loving and so squishy!  I need some ideas though on ways to help her confidence as she seems to be nearsighted.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   April 28, 2025, 9:32 pm

Story
Max is a fun-loving, high-energy pup with a heart full of loyalty and affection. Known for their gentle giant nature, Great Pyrenees are famously protective, and Max is no exceptions to be part of the action but needs a home that can offer consistent training and mental stimulation to help him thrive. If you any children, or dogs at home, please bring them with you. I would prefer a meet and greet, so we can get to know each other. To help Max reach his full potential, ongoing training and mental stimulation will be important. His breed is known for being intelligent but independent, so positive reinforcement and regular challenges will help him stay engaged and happy. Max would thrive in an environment that provides both physical exercise and mental enrichment.Max is looking for an active home where he can get plenty of playtime, training, and attention. He’ll make a great addition to a family who is committed to his growth and development, offering him the structure and mental engagement he needs. Max’s protective instincts also mean he will be a great guardian of your home and loved ones. Please come and visit Max at the SPCA today!!
