- Chelsea is a purebred Great Pyrenees, as confirmed by an Embark DNA test, and she embodies all the charming traits of her breed in a petite "pocket pyr" build.- In May 2023, at just 3 months old, Chelsea was heartlessly shoved under a fence at a Mississippi shelter before arriving at TLC. Despite her hardships, including a spinal malformation and congenital blindness in one eye, Chelsea's gentle demeanor never wavered. Her medical journey has been extensive, with numerous vet visits, tests, and a crucial surgery to improve her quality of life. Dr. Rosen, Chelsea's neurologist at VRC, emphasized that a radical stabilization surgery was essential for her to live a pain-free and happier life.
