Story
Jolene was left at a kill shelter. She is absolutely so sweet the shelter staff reached out to us for help before she could get on the euthanize list. Apparently the family had to move and could not take her. Jolene had lived with 2 little girls so she has been around kids. Jolene is friendly to people and other dogs. We do not know what she thinks of cats. Jolene is such a good girl that while she was in boarding prior to transport, she was allowed to run loose (inside) to socialize with other dogs during playtime. She has a great disposition. Jolene is about 7 months old and 39 pounds. Please help Jolene find the loving home she deserves. Update: Jolene tested positive for Lyme's. She is taking an oral antibiotic for 2 months and is doing very well. The remaining dose of medication will be sent home with her adopter so don't let this stop you for putting in an application to meet this amazing, loving girl! ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. If you are interested in adopting, we encourage you to please submit an application on our website today so that we can try and process and pre-approve any potential adopters prior to our next adoption event. PLEASE USE THIS LINK TO SUBMIT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. WE ONLY ACCEPT ADOPTION APPLICATIONS THROUGH OUR WEBSITE. ANY OTHERS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. Story
Hi my name is Daisy and I am a almost 3 year old Great Pyrenees mix. I love to go on walks and play with stuffed toys. I am crate trained and house broken. I enjoy the company of other dogs, but can also be the only child if my human will be with me most of the time. I have some anxiety and can be a bit talkative at times, but with the help of medication I've been doing better. I do great in a car and have the best manners while in public. I know all my basic commands! I prefer to sleep in bed with my person and love to give hugs. If you're looking for a talkative girl that wants to be by your side, then I'm your girl! If you'd like to adopt this pup please fill out our application at www.goofyfootrescue.org

Story
Introducing Yin! Yin is a beautiful 2-year-old, 70-pound Great Pyrenees mix. She was rescued from Swainsboro, Georgia and is so thankful to have been saved! Yin is a gentle giant who lives for belly rubs and attention. She's a sweet and go-with-the-flow kind of girl who loves spending time with her people. She loves everyone she meets and does great with kids, the more people to love on her and give her belly rubs- the better! Yin loves to go on daily walks throughout the neighborhood where she can leisurely show off her stunning white and grey coat. She wouldn’t mind the occasional run in a fenced-in yard especially if there are some fun toys or friends to play with. Yin walks beautifully on leash and is practically a pro with her house and crate training even though she does not need one. She cannot wait to meet her forever family and start making memories with them! Visit our website today to start an adoption application for Yin! Get ready to meet Tank! This love bug is a 3-month-old, 20-pound Great Pyrenees mix. Tank was rescued with his brother Yeti in Marion County, SC, and they are so thankful to have been rescued. Tank is full of fluff and love with beautiful grey markings on his face! This sweet boy lives for cuddles, love, and play. Tank is going to be a large-sized dog, also known as quite a big fluff ball! He does great with kids, dogs, and cats and would love to have one (or a combination) at home. This little guy is going to make a great companion with his sweet and willing personality. Tank loves to play and romp around but also enjoys curling up for snuggle time with his people. Tank would love the occasional run in a fenced-in yard where he can feel the breeze flowing through his fluffy hair. He’s working diligently on his crate, leash, and house training skills and his foster mom is very impressed with his quick learning skills. Tank cannot wait to find his forever family! Story
My name is Chachi and I am a very handsome and loving Great Pyrenees boy that is 18 months old and only 98 pounds.  I am big but NOT HUGE!   You see me smiling?Well, I do this all the time because I am a happy dog and I want people to know that I am very friendly and ready to be petted.   I really do like all people and all dogs that I meet.  I really, really love children too!   They say that my breed requires a fenced yard and I have to say that is a really good idea.  I like spending time outside and you really don’t want to have to sit and watch me for safety reasons if you don’t have a secured fence.   So…. if you have a physical fenced yard then Critter Cavalry Rescue would like to speak with you.  I think that if you love BIG dogs that I am a rather handsome dude to consider.  Mud puddles might NOT be my friend but big snow falls and deep banks would make me really happy!  I could stay clean very easily.   I am almost housebroken, and crate trained.    I would like to be your inside cuddle/lovebug and maybe help you start the new year off to a nice white fluffy start!  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ASAP and ask all the questions you want about filling out an adoption form.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 28, 2024, 8:51 am

Story
Thor is a handsome 80 pound, one year old boy (as of 1/02/24) and he is looking for a home and family to claim him as their own.  This boy was raised by a loving senior lady who was not able to allow he and his brother to be inside her small home.   After much soul searching, she knows that these two handsome boys need more interaction than she can give them and they would love to be inside the home being treated like family pets.  He is OK on a leash but could improve with some practice.  He is good with other dogs, cats and loves children.  What Thor needs is just a chance to be inside a home and cuddling on the sofa or a nice big dog bed on the floor for him to join the family.  He is not housebroken because he has never had the chance to be taught what being inside was like and then going outside.  Could someone help change his life and help him bask in the love and comforts of a family home!?  If you are interested, Thor is fully vetted and neutered and microchipped…then please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  You won’t regret it. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 28, 2024, 8:51 am
