Story
Winnie, a 1 year old Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd mix, is looking for a new home. Sadly, she keeps wandering off to visit the neighbors even though the owners have tried everything to keep her at home, she seems to find a way through or over the fence and they just can't stop her. She's very sweet and loves the kids she lives with and everyone else she meets, but she needs a fenced yard that can actually contain her so she's not wandering off. She does need spayed and that will be included in her adoption donation. While she has never been a 'house dog' she does not have accidents in the garage where she is kept overnight but waits until released to take care of business so it's probable that she would do the same if kept in the house. Since she is a GP mix she would probably do well guarding the yard from intruders such as squirrels and other critters, but would not be a good fit for a yard with free-roaming chickens and has been known to chase cats. If you have a secure yard and are interested in meeting this sweet girl please fill out an adoption application (no cost or obligation to you) on our website and we'll set up a connection with the owner. Her adoption donation will be $300 and will include her spay.March 27, 2024, 12:22 pm

Story
APPA, a 1 yr old Great Pyrenees, is a sweetheart, lets the toddler use him for a pillow so he's good with small children, if the toddler is using him for a pillow he will lay there until the toddler gets up and will only move his head during that time. But he tends to bark if left alone in the house and at 120 pounds is very loud. He does need neutered yet and that will be included in his adoption donation of $350. He's house trained and knows basic commands and is crate trained. Appa loves to play and will chase his toy if it's thrown for about ten minutes straight and then is ready to lay down for a nap. He's up to date on his shots. Appa likes other dogs, but will bark at dogs that are walking by. He will chase cats, not sure what he'd do if he caught one. If you are interested in meeting Appa to see if he'd be a good fit for your family please fill out an application on our website (no cost or obligation to you) and we'll connect you with his owners.March 27, 2024, 12:22 pm

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/28CjMl9vq5g Moldau and Danube are about 9 weeks old and currently weigh about 12 lbs. I was told they were Great Pyrenees and hound mixes but based on their current size and the size of their paws, I don't think they will get that big. They have been around other dogs of all sizes as well as cats since they were 6 weeks old and are well socialized. They do not have to be adopted together. They are currently in Oklahoma where they were rescued but they can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. We have frequent transports to the locations below. The puppy has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Harrisburg and Pittsburgh) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: microchipped, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm prevention. At the time of this posting (2/20) they are too young/small for rabies vaccine and spay. Adoption fee: $475 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Meet Ben! A young dog with an old soul. Ben is a 1 year old big, fluffy, goofy boy who we think is a great pyranees mix. But with rescue its always a mystery! Ben currently weighs around 70 pounds but he's really a gentle giant. What Ben loves more than anything is being outside in nature, no matter the weather! So he will need a home with a fenced back yard where he can go out as he pleases. But when he's back in the house, he's a perfect gentleman who is quiet in his crate and perfectly housetrained. He will be happy to lounge around at your feet. His next favorite thing is food! Ben will do cute tricks for food, like sit, speak, and shake! It will be a great way to bond with him! Teaching him new things will be a cinch with a few good treats. If you're looking for a pup that doesn't need constant attention, Ben is your guy! As long as you have a backyard for him to hang out in, he will be perfectly content. He does pretty well on leash but doesn't really need walks to be happy. He can even entertain himself if you give him some toys to toss around! Ben is great with all people, loves kids and other dogs big and small, but no kitties for this regal boy. In summary, Ben is a sweet gentle giant who would thrive in a home with another canine pal or two, a nice back yard to frolic and spend his days, and a family to love him for who he is. Available for adoption to anywhere in the US. We transport near or into NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van or bus transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. We can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825.00 and includes all vetting per our veterinarian: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm testing and heartworm treatment if applicable, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.
