Story
Junior Bear honestly looks like someone accidentally combined a sad old grandpa, a baby polar bear, and Sid from Ice Age into one dog and somehow… it works perfectly LOL. This poor guy was in rough shape when he was first found and looked more like a little naked mole rat than a fluffy Great Pyrenees mix, but watching him slowly transform has honestly been so special. His coat is already coming back in beautifully and while we can’t guarantee exactly how fluffy he’ll end up being, we can confidently say he is becoming cuter by the day. Between the permanently expressive facial expressions, the little tongue that sticks out of his mouth like he always has something important to say, and the shy gentle personality hiding underneath it all, Junior is one of those dogs that completely sneaks up on your heart. Watch his video and prepare to become emotionally attached to the weirdest cutest little old man face you’ve ever seen: https://youtu.be/c2Rg4Ua3Vg8?si=UjyFxjQ-04MRPsDC Junior Bear is believed to be a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix approximately 6 years old and currently weighs around 50 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. What we CAN guarantee though is that this boy has one of the most unintentionally hilarious and lovable faces we’ve ever seen. His expressions are absolutely incredible. Truly the type of dog that makes you wish you could speak fluent dog because you KNOW he has thoughts and opinions constantly running through that little head LOL. Junior is a very sweet gentle soul, but he is definitely more of a slow burn with people and new environments. He needs a little time to settle in, observe, and realize he’s safe before fully opening up. The good news? Baby talking him absolutely works LOL. Seriously, tell him he’s handsome, speak softly to him, let him approach you on his own terms, and you can literally watch him start melting. Once he warms up, you start seeing those little glimpses of his inner puppy come out and honestly it’s adorable. He’ll start asking for affection, leaning into attention, and showing off this really sweet cuddly side that feels incredibly rewarding to earn. Junior is dog friendly and has done well with every dog we have introduced him to so far, including dogs much smaller than him. He has been very respectful, easygoing, and mostly aloof around other dogs overall. He’ll sniff, coexist peacefully, let dogs sniff him, and then usually go right back to minding his own business. He’s definitely more of a “quiet peaceful coexistence” type than a built-in wrestling buddy. There were a few moments where he followed another dog around the yard curiously, but overall he seems happiest simply existing nearby rather than actively engaging in play. Because of that, we think he would do best with lower to medium energy respectful dogs that will give him space to acclimate naturally and won’t overwhelm him socially. He has also been around small dogs multiple times and did wonderfully with them. Junior also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also seemed to feel comfortable around him as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for Junior to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Junior walks very easily on leash and honestly has the cutest little old man stroll ever. He likes to casually meander along at his own pace and seems to do best when allowed to lead the walk a little bit himself. Too much leash pressure tends to overwhelm him and then he frozen like a statue. Less pressure and more patience is really the key with him. He likes calm energy and slow introductions to things. Junior needs someone patient, understanding, and willing to go slow while trust is being built. Especially in the beginning, he can become uncomfortable with too much touch too quickly. However, when approached calmly and respectfully, he has continued showing that he is capable of building trust beautifully. Junior truly feels like a dog that just needs someone willing to meet him where he’s at emotionally instead of forcing him into situations before he’s ready. Despite his quirks, Junior is honestly a very easy low-energy dog overall. He is crate trained, quiet in the home, and would be perfectly content living a slower paced lifestyle filled with comfy naps, quiet companionship, sniffing around the yard, and peaceful walks. He could potentially do okay in a quieter apartment, townhome, duplex, or condo setting, but we really think having access to some kind of small yard would help him settle in more comfortably while building confidence with his new person. Once he feels safe, he truly is such a sweet quirky little gentleman with so much love underneath all the nervousness. Junior is not the type of dog that’s immediately going to run into your arms and act like your best friend on day one. He’s the type of dog where the connection builds slowly and then suddenly one day you realize this weird adorable little creature completely stole your heart. And honestly? Those dogs are usually the most special ones of all. We are willing to test Junior Bear with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match we can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Buddy feels like the kind of dog who should come with a porch, a couple acres, and a standing invitation to be included in absolutely everything. Big ol’ smoosh-face energy, giant-hearted best friend, enthusiastic walking buddy, couch snuggler, toy collector, daycare socialite… he somehow manages to be both a “let’s go do stuff!” dog and a “perfectly content melting into the couch beside you” dog all at once. At just about a year old and already 87 lbs, Buddy is a young dog with growing and learning still to do, but what shines through immediately is just how social, affectionate, and genuinely good-natured he is. Rescue rules apply, so breed and age are our best guess, but we suspect some Anatolian/Pyrenees/Lab type magic in the mix. Go watch Buddy Big Smoosh on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this lovable galumph of a dog who genuinely seems appreciative and delighted to be part of the world. https://youtu.be/xDOLYqSCWeg Buddy is currently fostered in a loving home with two resident dogs, and according to his foster, he slid into family life like he had always belonged there. After a thoughtful introduction period, he now spends his days playing, lounging, sharing space, and generally enjoying life alongside his dog friends. He has also attended daycare with dogs of all sizes and continues to show himself to be social, playful, and appropriately communicative with other dogs. One of the things we really loved seeing during our time with him outside of his foster home was how nicely he reads the room with other dogs. He enjoys play, absolutely, but he also takes breaks, respects dogs that are not interested, and recovers quickly from moments of stress without overreacting. People? Buddy thinks people are excellent. He was loving and confident with everyone he met, happily accepted handling, rolled over for affection, and handled new environments, noises, and activity with an easygoing attitude. When we spent the afternoon with him he was surrounded by new people and he soaked up attention from strangers like it was his full-time job. He especially gives off that “big friendly dog at the brewery patio hoping someone shares fries” kind of charm. His foster lovingly calls him “Smoosh Face” because one of his favorite activities is snuggling up on the couch beside his people. Despite his size and playful side, he settles beautifully in the home. He enjoys chew toys, rotates through the toy basket, happily entertains himself, and is very capable of winding down after exercise or play. His foster describes him as smart, eager, and quick to learn, and he already kennels on command at home. He rides well in the car too, calmly hopping in and relaxing for the trip. Now, Buddy is still a young, large dog, and occasionally that youthful enthusiasm shows up in the form of “I would very much like to play RIGHT NOW.” His foster notes that he can sometimes be a little slow to pick up on their older dog’s “leave me alone” signals, not in a concerning way, just in that lovable young-dog way where the brain occasionally takes a second to catch up to the body. Overall though, his social skills are genuinely very nice. Buddy would thrive with an adopter who understands large breed dogs and has room in both their home and lifestyle for a young dog who still needs continued guidance and structure. What we are seeing right now is a well-socialized, stable young dog, with likely livestock guardian genetics, so adopters should be thoughtful of this as he matures. Right now he is wonderfully social and easygoing, and continued positive exposure, leadership, and appropriate boundaries will help him continue growing into the best version of himself. He could potentially live in a larger apartment with an active adopter committed to daily outings and exercise, but truthfully, Buddy would probably be happiest with space to stretch his legs, a yard to roam, and people who enjoy including their dog in everyday life. He has done well around cats in controlled settings, though we would recommend dog-savvy cats and thoughtful introductions. Older kids or teens would likely be a lovely fit given his size and youthful enthusiasm. His foster family cannot say it with more heart when they share how wonderfully he has blossomed into a deeply affectionate, social, happy dog who clearly loves being part of a family. There is something really special about a rescued street dog who chooses trust again so fully. Buddy Big Smoosh is ready for a home that has room for a giant cuddle bug with long legs, a soft heart, and an enthusiastic zest for life. Questions? Story
Monty Moonbeam Marshmallow seems to have been assembled from spare parts left over in the puppy factory. Let’s paint the picture, extra-soft fur, extra-sparkly eyes, an extra-happy tail, and approximately three extra scoops of affection. He is the kind of puppy who greets life with enthusiasm, greets people with enthusiasm, and would happily greet your lap with enthusiasm if given the opportunity. Sweet, goofy, loving, and full of promise, Monty is every bit an oversized teddy bear-in-training. Go watch Monty Moonbeam Marshmallow and the Case of the Wagging Tail on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this fluffy little heart-stealer. https://youtu.be/P9zcV5UvkhY Estimated to be around 6 months old and looking very much like a Great Pyrenees puppy mixed with something equally fluffy and charming, Monty currently weighs 35 lbs with growing to go. Keep in mind that he is a rescue, so breed and age are simply observational but when you get the DNA results back please share- we are dying to know! What’s obvious is that he is a growing puppy who will mature into a large dog, and he already has the loving personality to match his future size. Monty absolutely adores people. New faces are simply future friends he hasn't met yet. During his assessment he greeted people with a wagging tail, bright eyes, and a genuine eagerness to connect. He loves affection, enjoys being close to his people, and would happily volunteer himself for a lifetime position as Professional Family Sidekick. He takes treats with a wonderfully soft mouth, enjoys learning, and is incredibly food motivated, which should make training both rewarding and fun. As you might expect from a six month old puppy, Monty is still working on his manners. He can be a little jumpy when he's excited and his leash skills are a work in progress. He walks on leash but is still figuring out the whole "walking perfectly and politely beside a human" concept. The good news is that he is eager to please, highly motivated by snacks, and seems like the kind of dog who will pick up new skills quickly with positive reinforcement and consistency. Monty also has all the classic puppy curiosity you could ask for. Counters holding food have his attention but thankfully he hasnt figured out how to use his size in his favor but as a potential adopter, expect some puppy-proofing and be ready to continue teaching him the house rules as he grows. Par for the course. With other dogs, Monty is still learning. He can become nervous when unfamiliar dogs approach him and he does occasionally bark to tell them he'd prefer a little extra personal space if he is feeling intimidated. Interestingly, his best interactions were consistently with calm, confident dogs who respected boundaries and didn't pressure him into socializing. At this stage, we feel he would do best with a confident female dog companion or as an only dog while he continues building confidence. He is still very young, and his social skills will continue developing with thoughtful guidance, positive experiences, and maturity. When it came to meeting a cat, Monty was politely curious but over all uninterested. He gave the cat a sniff, then largely moved on with his day. When encouraged to investigate further, he actually preferred to back away rather than engage. Because cat introductions can look different in a home environment and with different cat personalities, we would still recommend thoughtful introductions, but our initial observations were encouraging. While Monty does not live in a home with kids, his affectionate nature and gentle nature suggest he could make a wonderful family dog. Given his size, enthusiasm, and puppy energy, we think children around 5 + years old and up may be the best fit while he continues learning not to greet everyone with his whole body. Monty would likely thrive in a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs, explore, and burn off puppy energy. Apartment living could be possible with a very active family committed to training and exercise, but his size, age, and future Great Pyrenees tendencies make a home with space the easier fit. At the end of the day, Monty is exactly what many families dream of finding- a big-hearted puppy with soft eyes, a happy tail, a growing brain, and a whole lot of love to give. He may still be polishing his manners and building confidence around other dogs, but beneath all that fluffy puppy energy is a truly wonderful companion waiting to grow up alongside his people. Story
Mazie Maybell seems to have been built using the exact same blueprint as a beloved childhood stuffed animal, with the most important upgrade- live action kisses, tail wags, and love-mode set to “always.” Fluffy, cheerful, affectionate, and wonderfully social, Mazie is the kind of puppy who makes herself at home in your heart almost immediately. Her sparkling eyes seem permanently set to "so happy to see you!" and her tail appears to believe every day is the best day ever! Go watch Mazie Maybell on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this fluffy little ray of sunshine. https://youtu.be/TmG1wMMhmAc Estimated to be around 6 months old and looking very much like a Great Pyrenees mix with a little extra marshmallow fluff sprinkled in, Mazie currently weighs 35 lbs. She is a rescue though so keep in mind-breed and age are simply our best guess. What we do know is that she is growing into what will likely be a large dog and already has the loving, family-friendly personality to match her future size. Mazie's specialty is collecting friends wherever she goes. New people are greeted with the warmth of someone welcoming old friends back from vacation. She is affectionate without being demanding, playful without being wild, and carries herself with the easy, adoring confidence of a puppy who assumes the world is full of kind people. That confidence shines through when meeting other dogs too. Mazie greets new canine friends politely and comfortably, showing lovely social skills and an easygoing attitude. She enjoys the company of other dogs and approaches new introductions with curiosity and good manners, making her an excellent candidate for a home with a resident dog. Mazie also had the opportunity to meet children ages 5 and 12, and she handled both interactions beautifully. Friendly, gentle, and eager to engage, she showed all the qualities we love to see in a family companion. Like any growing puppy, she'll continue benefiting from guidance and training, but her natural friendliness and affection were impossible to miss. When it came to meeting our house cat, Mazie was equally sweet and respectful. She showed gentle curiosity without being pushy and handled the interaction with the same easygoing nature she seems to bring to everything she does. As always, proper introductions are important, but our initial observations were positive and encouraging. Like all puppies, Mazie is still polishing her manners. She is learning leash skills, commands, and all about the rhythm and rules of home life but she is incredibly food motivated and eager to learn which is wonderful, making her the kind of puppy who should thrive with positive reinforcement and consistency. A home with a yard would be wonderful for her, especially considering her future size and puppy energy, but more than anything Mazie is looking for a family ready to include her in daily life, adventures, training sessions, and plenty of cuddle and snuggle breaks. Mazie has that special combination of traits that people often hope for but rarely find all in one puppy- friendly, affectionate, confident, social, gentle, playful, and genuinely easy to enjoy. She is the kind of dog who seems determined to make every person, dog, and cat feel welcome in her presence. At the end of the day, Mazie isn't just adorable, though she certainly has that covered. She's the kind of dog who is undoubtedly going to make life feel a little lighter, a little happier, and a whole lot fluffier. Questions? Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress! We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Howdy folks, I’m Orion. I’m a gentle soul who would like nothing more than to spend my time lounging in a yard, watching the world around me, with love from my people, and daily walks to keep me healthy and engaged. I’m strong on the Pyrenees side of my temperament (quiet, gentle, observant, lazy) My mom used to take me to work with anxious dogs, and I would absolutely love to live with another dog again. Still, I’m good with all animals, and human children of any age. When I was younger, someone called me a “semi-sentient couch cushion”, and that tracks.. though I am a passionate and professional snack-uum. I have been well-adored by my moms since I was a year old. However, circumstances call them abroad, and they know and love me enough to understand how stressful that would be for me. So, I’m looking for someone to cherish me like they have. I may be an old dog, but I would love to show you all of my tricks, and maybe you can teach me even more (with snacks).

Story
Hi all! We have a Great Pyrenees and Dogo Argentino puppy who’s just about to turn a year old named Momo❤️ Genuinely heart broken to have had to come to this decision but we want what’s best for her and don’t know how much longer we’ll be able to afford to give her what she needs with a baby. She is truly the most loving and kindest sweet girl, but we have a baby and don’t have enough time or energy to give her. She deserves big fields and lots of cuddles and we can’t provide what she needs. If anyone has a farm that’s a bonus for her. She is a runner, so a fence is good but otherwise she loves to be free and play and CUDDDLEEE! She’s been mainly an outdoor dog- but I’m sure potty training her wouldn’t be hard since she’s still young- she wouldn’t mind being inside I’m sure! She is a people lover, and her love for us makes me not ever want to give her up- but she deserves better with our focus on the baby 😞 Shes great with other dogs, and hasn’t been spayed.
