Story
Nanuk was born April 2024. He is 3/4 Great Pyrenees and 1/4 yellow Lab. He was born on our farm in a healthy litter of 12 pups! We have sold most of the litter, and only keep female dogs on our farm. This is the reason we are looking to rehome Nanuk. He is a sweet dog, loves playing with our other dogs, and has been raised from day one around young children. He is so ready for his forever home!

Story
Simon is a 2 year old Pyrenees/Lab mix. We have raised him since he was 9 months and he is the sweetest, most loyal dog to our children, us & his 30 pound dog sister. He is current on vaccinations & is neutered. Simon is great with dogs & small animals. He walks with 10 other dogs (most small) every week and all the dogs love their Gentle Simon Giant. He also guards & loves our neighbor's ducks. He would do best living with &protecting other animals. Simon is extremely well trained which includes leashes, crates, & advanced commands- heel, come, leave it, place. Simon is fairly low energy & is great spending time indoors, outside, in his crate or guarding the property. Sadly, Simon was abused & kept confined for his first 6 months of life. He is people reactive & needs diligence when unknown people visit. We live on a busy street, in the city, w/ busy teenagers who don't always follow the protocol needed w/ reactivity. We would like to stay in contact/help adopters w him as needed.

Story
Leo is a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees x bully breed mix who has been a beloved part of our family. He’s incredibly affectionate, smart, and devoted—but after 2 years of trying to help him adjust to life with a toddler, it’s clear he’s not thriving in a busy household. We’re looking for a child-free, pet-free home where Leo relax and be the center of someone’s world. 🧡 What We Love About Leo: Exceptionally cuddly (he’s a 75-lb lap dog at heart) House-savvy: well-mannered, non-destructive, ok in a crate Adventurous and athletic—loves long walks and hikes Food motivated and enjoys learning—has good obedience and foundations in nosework and agility Deeply loyal and protective—a natural watch dog who bonds hard with his people ⚠️ What Leo Needs: A home with no children or other pets A guardian with experience handling large breeds—ideally familiar with LGD or bully traits Someone who can continue managing his dog reactivity (he’s got great training already!) A calm home with a comfy couch

Story
**Tune in to our Facebook page (Great Pyrenees Rescue Society - GPRS) every Sunday at 3pm CT to see our dogs LIVE!  You can also find previous episodes on our YouTube channel (@gprspyrs). If you would like a specific dog to be featured on our show, please email us at info@greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org**.  Introducing Lila, a gorgeous Great Pyrenees girl who’s as sweet as they come—affectionate, happy, and always ready to dole out some seriously top-tier kisses. Born around February 2024, Lila was surrendered alongside her sister Lydia by a growing family who adored her but felt overwhelmed with toddlers and a baby on the way. Despite this unfortunate turn of events, Lila still has a temperament that’s smoother than a jazz melody, the kind that makes life easy. With her naturally calm demeanor, Lila is the type to stay cool even when the other dogs are throwing a bark party around her. Unflappable, unbothered, and undeniably lovable, she’s easy-going with a pinch of timid, but she’s never too shy to chase a good time. Or treats. In which case she’ll happily plant herself at your feet with laser-like focus and a hopeful smile. Lila has a playful sparkle in her eye that says she’s always ready for a little adventure—or a nap in the sun. She gets along great with both the ladies and the fellas, and she’s hoping her forever home comes with a four-legged BFF to pal around with—because playtime, like a cheese snack, is better when shared! Lila walks well on a leash (with the occasional artistic interpretation of where the path *should* be), loves to play, and is deeply committed to snack-based decision-making. Lila is looking for a home where she can be her happy, beautiful self—and maybe share some of those amazing kisses with you.
