Patty is a 2-year-old Havanese mix with a playful spirit and a growing sense of confidence. She came to us with a very matted coat, so she’s sporting a short haircut for now—but once her soft curls grow back, she’ll be looking like a little superstar! Patty is settling into her foster home and learning new things every day. Her previous home loved her, but didn’t have much time for training, so she’s still working on some basics. She’s leash trained, nearly housebroken, and absolutely loves toys—especially stealing socks, so guard your laundry! She’d do best in a home with no kids, and we’re still getting to know how she feels about other dogs. We’ll continue to update as we learn more. Patty is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and will be spayed soon. With a little time and patience, she’s going to make a wonderful companion. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications! 2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better. 3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.) 4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. Story
I got Biscuit while in the military when he was 6 months old. He has helped tremendously with my PTSD and honestly he’s a bubbly little guy. He’s moved with me to every state and loves a good old car ride. He is getting older and I am getting busier and now I am moving to a place that doesn’t allow dogs. He can stay at the home he is in now but there is an older lady (who he loves and she loves him) who is doing things that harm him. Giving him table food, chocolate, combing him daily causing his skin to get irritated, cleaning his paws with clorox wipes, putting human lotions and ointments on him. She means well but she’s not helpful at all.I won’t be able to sleep knowing he isn’t living his best life, or knowing I will get an emergency call for an illness or something worse. He deserves a loving person with a home and a yard he can frolic in. He gets along with most dogs and most cats. He is a yapper but with good intentions. I wish I didn’t have to do this but it would be best.

Teddy is 2 years old, he loves attention, hugs and kisses, unfortunately with my schedule I am not able to attend to him as much as he needs. Teddy needs a loving new home to care and give him the time he deserves. I have been his only owner since 2024. Teddy is on the ID diet, he is neutered, micro chipped, and all vaccines are up to date.
