Kona is such a sweet, loving and cuddly girl. She is slow to warm up to new people and animals but once she does, she’ll be your best friend and love you unconditionally. She is still as playful as she was when she was a puppy. I feel horrible trying to find her a new home but due to family/new baby issues, we need to find her a new forever home. She is well trained and makes a great guard dog. Softest dog you’ll ever meet too. Breaks my heart to see her go and hoping someone will love her like I do and make her feel safe and loved.

Both Koi and Saxon are very true to the breed, they need a little time to get to know you and trust you but once they do, they fall deeply in love and give you their devoted loyalty and affection. Both should not be with small children and because of their distrust of strangers should be introduced properly to new people. Saxon is a handsome boy Akita that is calm, loyal, strong, confident and kind. Both Koi and Saxon are ranch/volunteer favorites because of their wonderful hearts and loyal devotion. Oakley says there's not a word yet for FRIENDS who have just met. Oakley has learned many new things since arriving at the ranch, like sit and how to walk on leash, how to raise his paw for a treat, how to look absolutely adorable at ALL times, how to bulldoze those you love!! When we first received him it didn't appear he had ever had a safe loving home where he could trust those around him or he knew he would have a regular meal, so at first he was little shy. But now he is the biggest love bug and has learned how wonderful love is!! He can be cautious with new people but warms up quickly and once he trusts you, he will slobber you with affection. If he gets excited, you may need to gently calm him down but that's when he will flop over for belly rubs!!...Oh poor Oakley, sometimes he just can't contain his happiness. Due to Oakley's size we recommend he would be best in an adult home. Oakley does seem to like other friendly female large dogs but he can be selective and may be happiest as an only dog. Very friendly to people she trusts and a good girl on a leash. She likes to play ball Akita style meaning she will get the ball once and then it belongs to her! She is learning basic commands and can sit like a pro, especially if a tasty treat is involved!! She is not reactive to other polite dogs while on leash but she will tell rude dogs to back off!! Kia is a sassy Akita girl that knows her worth!! She does not want other animals invading her space, therefore accordingly, she would do best as the only pet in the home. She has never lived with children and because their behavior can be unpredictable, she would do better in a home with teens and up who will be respectful of her boundaries. Kia is more aloof and independent versus velcro and constantly needing attention. But this girl can lay the cuteness on thick when she knows you are her people!!! He may have a tiny bit of Malinois mixed in due to the shape of his head but that is pure speculation. He came into rescue neglected and has recovered beautifully!! He is very playful and loves to run but is also quite attached to his humans! He is looking for a home with either a fenced yard with room to run or one that will take him out on hikes, walks or runs. (On leash of course!) He seems to prefer being an only dog/child. Pistol is a spunky young boy that loves affection. He will run and jump like a kangaroo in excitement to see you!! He is very afraid of fireworks so needs a home that will understand and keep him in a safe place during those booming nights. He is a very sweet boy that will steal your heart!
