Story
This lovely girl is Bailey. She is a 6 years old Husky /Cattledog mix who weighs about 60 pounds. Bailey is a smart gal who knows her basics: sit, down, lay down, spin, and stay. She is also house and crate trained. Bailey starts a bit shy when meeting new people but is quite friendly when she is given a moment to warm up. She hasn't lived with kids, so smaller kids aren't likely a match for her. Bailey is good with dogs her size and larger. She likes to play with dogs who enjoy her rambunctious play style. Bailey does have prey drive, so isn't a fit for a home with cats or small dogs. Bailey enjoys fun and adventure with her people. She enjoys fetching. She is also good in a car and would make a fun hiking or jogging companion. She does pull some on leash, but that can be managed. She can also get excited when she sees other dogs on walks. Mostly, Bailey will thrive in an active home that gets her energy out. She is a lot less silly on leash when she gets the right amount of activity. Once the fun of hikes and play is done, she enjoys down time with her people inside. Bailey is a lovable girl that loves to play, cuddle and be with her people. Bailey is spayed and microchipped. She is located in Riverside and is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.

Story
Kaiya is 2 years old and just the sweetest dog ever. All she wants is to roll over onto her back and get endless pets from anyone around. She is potty trained, crate trained, does great on leash and is super gentle with all humans and other dogs. Speaking of which, She is great with dogs of all sizes and every person she has ever met she loves. Super gentle with toddlers too so she loves kids. She isn't frightened by fireworks or anything really, she doesn't react to loud noises like vacuumed, appliances etc so she is super easy. For a husky she is very low energy ..if she isn't being pet or playing with another dog she will most definitely be sleeping on tile off on her own. Also super quiet for a husky. She only barks when playing with another dog, and sings a bit when she yawns, but other than that is super quiet.  While she is super low energy for a husky and hasn't exhibited any destructiveness she still gets bored when she doesn't get enough exercise and will paw at her water bowl and splash the water everywhere. So even with her low energy she would pair best with a family that can give her exercise daily and isnt gone for a majority of the day. Like any husky, eventually lack of exercise and boredom can create some negative behaviors later on.    Please fill out our online application (www.fochp.org).  Once you meet the pet and decide it is the right pet for your family there is an adoption fee.  The adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, microchip, 30-day pet health insurance which you will need to order when we provide you with the number.    Our adoption fees are non-refundable so please be sure you are ready for a commitment to the pet you are interested in. Please be sure to check your spam mail if you feel you have not heard from us. Once we receive the application, we can put you in touch with the foster home so you can schedule a time to meet the pet.  Our adoption process is pretty quick, and a lot of volunteers are involved to ensure you get a quick response.  Please…. only fill out the application if you are ready to adopt right now and have consent from all parties involved.  Once you submit the application please verify that it is received (the screen will say your application has been received) if you do not get that message it has not been submitted. – if you do not hear from us within 1 hour, we may not have received your application.    Adoptions are based on Best fit/match and then 1st come 1st serve.  Please check your email regularly for a response from the foster and be prepared for the opportunity to meet the dog as soon as they can be adopted.    July 24, 2024, 11:34 pm

Story
I got Dave from a breeder in Laguna Beach when he was just 3 months old. Now, he is 2 years old. Sadly, I have to find a new home for him because we can no longer support him financially, and our family is not properly equipped to control or train such a high-energy dog. We don't have enough time to dedicate to giving him all the enrichment he should have, and Dave struggles with behavior issues that require more attention and training than we can provide. I'm looking for a home that can offer lots of space, a loving environment, and plenty of playtime. Dave is super energetic, stubborn, and a huge goofball that will always make you smile. He’s brought so much happiness into my life, and I hope to find a new family who will love him just as much as I do, if not more.

Story
****Courtesy post *** Meet our Chubster Jay! He was abandoned at a vets office in Riverside With his buddy Daisy the Bulldog. We would love for them to be adopted together. They are six years old and have been together their entire life. We would have loved to keep them together but apparently that is not going to happen. Jay is a husky who is a little bit on the ummm… hefty side. He sat in boarding for quite a while before a rescuer stepped up to help them and she asked for our help in placing them. He is sweet and loves to give adoring looks to whoever is petting him. He also has the moves like Jagger… Make sure you check out his video. Who would think a body his size could move like that These two darling dogs get along with other dogs and enjoy going for walks, fine dining and snuggling. If you are able to foster or adopt please fill out an application.   https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html APPLICATION: http://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html   ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet.                                   Our Adoption Process:  http://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-process.html
