Story
MEET TURKEY - Turkey is the cutest little dude. He’s so loving. He arrived as a surrender, very thin and a lack of confidence. He has gained confidence and eats like a tiny trucker. He loves children, he loves other dogs, mostly ones that are around his size range, but he adjusts his sales when he needs to.. he’s super smart and he aim to please. Turkey is playful and fun! Turkey would love a family for Christmas and the new year. He is only four months old we have had him neutered. He does have his vaccines and he is happy. Go lucky. However, if he senses danger he will bark, and he does a little husky howl if he feels stranger danger is going on around him. We tell him good boy you have done your job, and he typically settles down. we do live in the woods and there is some stranger danger up here so it is good that he is alert and aware of his surroundings. He is crate trained he sleeps inside at night he plays outside a portion of the day plays with children and other dogs. He tolerates the ducks, giving him all kinds of grief and chickens parading in front of him. Turkey is now Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you believe Turkey is your love match, please email us with a little information about yourselves and how Turkey would spend his days with you, to gooddogk9rescue@yahoo.com Thank you - Good Dog K9 Rescue Inc.

Story
Hiya, I'm Fern, a spirited 2-year-old husky with a heart as big as my fluffy tail! First things first, I'm like a burst of energy wrapped in fur. Yep, that's me! I thrive on attention, so if you've got love to share, I'm all ears... and paws! Now, I'm no stranger to little humans and furry pals. I've been around kids aged 2 to 12, and I've wagged my tail alongside many other dogs. Never once have I shown any signs of aggression. Sure, I get a tad excited sometimes, and I might jump up on people, especially the older and sturdier kiddos. But fear not, I'm a quick learner. Tell me to stop, and I'll listen. I've got manners, you know! Like most huskies, I require plenty of exercise so I need a home that's as lively as I am. Daily exercise is my life line – 1 to 2 hours of it, to be precise. It keeps me from getting bored and, you know, engaging in some problem behaviors like chewing. And let me tell you a secret – I can be a bit of an escape artist if I'm not properly exercised or stimulated. Apparently, it’s a really common husky behavior! Moving on to some of my strengths, I'm a smarty-paw! I'm 100% potty trained, and I've mastered some cool tricks like sit, stay, down, look (eye contact), and giving a friendly paw. I'm basically a canine genius. A home with another doggie friend would be perfect for me. That way, my fur-iend can help me come out of my shell and stay calm when the humans are out. I’ve started warming up to people and my future home will need to continue building my trust toward humans. But hey, Rome wasn't built in a day, right? Another perk? I rarely bark! I'm just a happy, friendly furball with my peeps. Up for an adventurous life with me? I’ve been waiting quite awhile for you! Fern's Adoption Donation is SPONSORED! Includes - spayed rabies dhpp bordatella and chipped. You might be wondering what “sponsored” means. A dog is sponsored when their foster or a donor loves them so much that they cover the adoption donation for a future adopter. This in hopes that the pup finds his or her forever family ASAP!

Story
Hey pals! I'm Oki, the happy-go-lucky beaut if I do say so myself. Life's a grand adventure, and I'm here to soak up every bit of joy it has to offer! Picture this: I'm an exceptionally friendly explorer who's always up for a game with my doggy foster sisters. Long walks? Count me in! But when the sun sets, there's nothing better than curling up on top of my humans, channeling my inner giant cat. Speaking of cats … let's keep it cat-free in my kingdom—that's my only request. Meeting new people is like hitting the jackpot for me—I'm incredibly social, and I've been told I have a way of making everyone feel like an instant friend. Kids? Oh, they're fantastic! I've met a few, and I sit there patiently, soaking up all the pets and even tolerating hugs like a pro. Now, let's talk treats. While I do find treats and human food interesting, I usually give them a polite sniff and turn away. Well, there's one exception—the magical MilkBones. Those, my friends, are a different story. An active home? Sign me up! I'll thrive in the hustle and bustle of a lively household, and having other doggy pals around would be just fine. Oh, did I mention I'm housetrained? No separation anxiety here. I'm just a husky ready for my forever home. Could it be yours? Let's embark on this adventure together—I promise it'll be a tail-wagging good time! 🐾 Oki's Adoption Donation is SPONSORED! Includes neuter/addendum; rabies, dhpp, bordatella, microchip, and up to date on monthly preventatives. You might be wondering what “sponsored” means. A dog is sponsored when their foster or a donor loves them so much that they cover the adoption donation for a future adopter. This in hopes that the pup finds his or her forever family ASAP!

Story
Its heartbreaking to be writing this for our smart, playful, and loyal dog Harley. We are expecting a child and to ensure that Harley continues to live out her best life free from anxiety, we are searching for someone who has the love, patience, experience and environment that best suits our fur baby. Harley is a 4 yr old Husky x Aussie Shepherd mix. We rescued her when she was 4 months old. She loves long walks, road trips, naps, and working for treats. She developed some challenging behaviors when she was around 12 months old, including resource guarding, anxiety around novel people and things, and concern of sudden environmental changes. Over the past 3+ years, we have worked extensively with behaviorists at UC Davis and reputable positive reinforcement trainers to improve her confidence, reduce her anxiety, and change her behavioral responses to most triggers. Consistency, repetition, and positive reinforcement have been essential to her progress. www.harleysnextadventure.com

Jovie is a very fun loving and active female with 2 different colored beautiful eyes. She loves walks, runs, and toys! Jovie is very food motivated and is easily trainable. She does well outside and is crate trained. Her ideal new home would be someplace where she has access to outdoors as well as indoors. The ideal owner would also enjoy walking with her on a regular basis and would like to further push her to advance in training. She loves to play with other dogs and is very social. Jovie eats 2 meals a day, and is very good at waiting until she is given the command to eat. Her forever home will be one that likes to be active and fun. Give Jovie a toy and she will be happy for hours!!
