Story
Meet Bobby! He’s about 10 weeks old and weighs 20lbs. Bobby has had his first round of vaccines. He will be fully vetted (completely vax'd, neutered, and microchipped) prior to formal adoption, but is ready to join your home while you foster to adopt! Bobby is a pitbull/husky mix. He has been in a foster home with multiple dogs and children and seems to enjoy their company. Bobby can be a bit timid when meeting new people and takes a little longer than his brother Ricky to warm up but he’s the sweetest boy, and once you're in his "Circle of Friends" you're a friend for life! Bobby is not a SacRDR rescue dog. He is being fostered by one of our volunteers, who is a vet tech in the process of starting her own rescue. We fully back her and her dogs. We have collaborated on rehoming several dogs with her and the dogs are stable grounded animals. Think you can provide Bobby the life he deserves? Interested in meeting Bobby? Let us know! Send an email to Brittrad03@aol.com and someone will get back with you as quickly as possible.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Shayba is a beautiful husky x looking for her special home. Her estimated bday is around 1/2021. She came to us at the end of 2021 and had a lump near her ankle. After testing, it is thought not to be cancerous and it hasn't grown in the year+ that we have had her. Her ankle doesn't slow this happy girl down...and Shayna is ready to find a home of her own. Here's what her fostermom has to say about this fun girl: Shayna is THE life of the party. Whether it is dogs or people she is ready to play. In her foster home she was assigned the role of teaching timid dogs how to party and has a 100 percent success rate at getting even the most shutdown dogs to enjoy life. Despite her ruff start found with mange walking the streets of Bakersfield, she looks at every person and place with love and an adventurous spirit. He coat has grown back nicely and her two different colored eyes get lots of attention. When Shayna is not playing with people or dogs she makes an excellent snuggle buddy and is happy to lay around with her crew. Or have a nice conversation, which led to her nickname “Roo Roo.” Shayna has a husky voice and will talk to you by “roo rooo roooing” which is hilarious and cute. Along with conversations she will let you know when it is breakfast or dinner time. Shayna is house trained, dog door trained, crate trained, and loves toys and play. If you would like to have a chat with Roo Roo please contact SIAR! Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$450 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Montana (aka Monty) is the friendliest husky you will ever meet. This big cuddle bug was rescued from Contra Costa Animal Services and is looking for his forever home. He loves to cuddle with his human/family, and play outside with other dogs. He is great on leash and at dog parks. A very turn-key dog. Monty is looking for a dog owner that can work on basic obedience with him (not jumping up on counters, going through garbage, etc.). With some simple training, he will be an amazing pet. All the hard stuff training (socialization, not running away, etc.), is already built in with his great personality and loving demeanor. He a beautiful lemon husky with stunning Siberian blue eyes. Looks like he is probably a full-bred husky. Beautiful dogs like this, with a great personality and rescue story, don't come around often. Learn more about Monty today!

Story
If you love the outdoors and are looking for an adventure partner, meet Dakota. Dakota was scheduled to be euthanized at Contra Costa Animal Services on 2/22/23. She was rescued by Play For A Stray and has proven to be an amazing dog who deserves to find her forever home. Dakota loves going on adventures with her human and playing with other dogs. She is very social and would love to go to a home with a second dog. Dakota does great on leash and loves to go on hikes. She is also great at running on leash next to a bike, scooter, etc. She is fast! Dakota needs a fenced yard. Like most huskies she is capable escape artist, but the few times she got out, she came right back to the ranch. Dakota is going to make an amazing pet for an active owner. She is friendly, loves playing with dogs, a lot of fun to run/walk, and has a great rescue story. She is a beautiful husky with stunning blue eyes. Looks like she is a pure-bred huskies. Don't miss out on the opportunity to support a good cause and get a great husky. Learn more about Dakota today!
