Story
Hiya, I'm Fern, a spirited 2-year-old husky with a heart as big as my fluffy tail! First things first, I'm like a burst of energy wrapped in fur. Yep, that's me! I thrive on attention, so if you've got love to share, I'm all ears... and paws! Now, I'm no stranger to little humans and furry pals. I've been around kids aged 2 to 12, and I've wagged my tail alongside many other dogs. Never once have I shown any signs of aggression. Sure, I get a tad excited sometimes, and I might jump up on people, especially the older and sturdier kiddos. But fear not, I'm a quick learner. Tell me to stop, and I'll listen. I've got manners, you know! Like most huskies, I require plenty of exercise so I need a home that's as lively as I am. Daily exercise is my life line – 1 to 2 hours of it, to be precise. It keeps me from getting bored and, you know, engaging in some problem behaviors like chewing. And let me tell you a secret – I can be a bit of an escape artist if I'm not properly exercised or stimulated. Apparently, it’s a really common husky behavior! Moving on to some of my strengths, I'm a smarty-paw! I'm 100% potty trained, and I've mastered some cool tricks like sit, stay, down, look (eye contact), and giving a friendly paw. I'm basically a canine genius. A home with another doggie friend would be perfect for me. That way, my fur-iend can help me come out of my shell and stay calm when the humans are out. I’ve started warming up to people and my future home will need to continue building my trust toward humans. But hey, Rome wasn't built in a day, right? Another perk? I rarely bark! I'm just a happy, friendly furball with my peeps. Up for an adventurous life with me? I’ve been waiting quite awhile for you! Fern's Adoption Donation is SPONSORED! Includes - spayed rabies dhpp bordatella and chipped. You might be wondering what “sponsored” means. A dog is sponsored when their foster or a donor loves them so much that they cover the adoption donation for a future adopter. This in hopes that the pup finds his or her forever family ASAP!

Story
Hey pals! I'm Oki, the happy-go-lucky beaut if I do say so myself. Life's a grand adventure, and I'm here to soak up every bit of joy it has to offer! Picture this: I'm an exceptionally friendly explorer who's always up for a game with my doggy foster sisters. Long walks? Count me in! But when the sun sets, there's nothing better than curling up on top of my humans, channeling my inner giant cat. Speaking of cats … let's keep it cat-free in my kingdom—that's my only request. Meeting new people is like hitting the jackpot for me—I'm incredibly social, and I've been told I have a way of making everyone feel like an instant friend. Kids? Oh, they're fantastic! I've met a few, and I sit there patiently, soaking up all the pets and even tolerating hugs like a pro. Now, let's talk treats. While I do find treats and human food interesting, I usually give them a polite sniff and turn away. Well, there's one exception—the magical MilkBones. Those, my friends, are a different story. An active home? Sign me up! I'll thrive in the hustle and bustle of a lively household, and having other doggy pals around would be just fine. Oh, did I mention I'm housetrained? No separation anxiety here. I'm just a husky ready for my forever home. Could it be yours? Let's embark on this adventure together—I promise it'll be a tail-wagging good time! 🐾 Oki's Adoption Donation is SPONSORED! Includes neuter/addendum; rabies, dhpp, bordatella, microchip, and up to date on monthly preventatives. You might be wondering what “sponsored” means. A dog is sponsored when their foster or a donor loves them so much that they cover the adoption donation for a future adopter. This in hopes that the pup finds his or her forever family ASAP!

Story
Hi I'm Lillith,I am a very sweet and kind girl. I am very shy and take a while to warm up to new people. I have developed bonds with our volunteers and have been such a good girl here at the shelter. I may take a while to warm up in a new home but when I do, I will be loyal and loving. I like older kids so a family with older kids would be a good fit for me. I like other dogs and love to play with them. A home with a confident dog would be welcome. Please Ask staff for a meet and greet !March 2, 2024, 5:34 pm

Story
Young Male, about 3 years old, super friendly but a little anxious at first meeting new people. This dog was a confiscate in an animal cruelty case. He is transitioning beautifully at his new foster home but will need someone who is a devoted pet owner to keep him on track. He does get anxious when left alone. He would need confidence building and plenty of excercise. He is generally good with other dogs and enjoys older kids.  His Mom reports.....Storm is young. He loves toys, to play ball, to ride in the car, and to hang out with his person. He is full of enthusiasm and curiosity. His is gentle, loving, sits, lies down, is good with dogs. Storm is energetic and can get mouthy when playing. Small children are not recommended.   I’m a love bug. Life was not so good but I am happy to have a big yard, dogs to play with, regular meals, and freedom now. I’m 1 year young and spirited. I like my stuff and sometimes don’t like to share but I do like running and wrestling. At night I jump into bed with my foster for a snuggle and a hug, then eventually I go to my own bed to sleep. I would like a family with older kids to go for walks and runs. If you’re looking for a companion to love please send an app. I’m just waiting to love you back. Please submit an application at Havendogrescue.org and we will caontact you to discuss and arrange a meeting. We do a foster to adopt program for qualified foster homes.  ##1396288##
