Story
Hi, my name is Elle. I need to rehome the best dog ever, Beaky, because I need back surgery. Beaky truly is the best dog. When I’ve been in good health, he has walked with me for hours each day and walks very well on a leash. About once a month, he pulls me toward a squirrel into a bush, which hurts my back. He is amazing with cats (as long as I make it clear that we are not chasing them), good with most dogs, and wonderful with my two small children. When we play a kazoo or when he’s excited, he sings the characteristic husky howl and almost never barks. Before I broke my elbow, he would bike with me for eight miles, running alongside the bike. When he’s not biking or walking-being outside is his favorite-he happily lies on his dog bed or on the couch all day. He never complains, even if it’s raining and I cannot take him out for days. He’s truly the best dog, and I’m looking for someone who will love him as much as he deserves.

Story
Her name is Luna, she is an Alaskan Husky. She is three years and eight months old. She is a very energetic dog loves to run around. The Husky breed is known for being escape artists so I keep her on a leash when walking her. I am trying to rehome her because of my financial situation. She is a healthy dog with no known illnesses and no special needs. She is a very cute and playful dog! She especially loves belly rubs. She is good with children and people. She is potty trained but when I am not home I leave potty pads out for her and she will go on those. I am extremely saddened to let her go but I will make sure she goes to a loving home and to someone who will take care of her needs.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ginger Spice! Are you ready to spice up your life with an adorable and energetic companion? Look no further than Ginger Spice, a delightful pup currently seeking her forever home in Sacramento! Ginger Spice's journey began in foster care, where she was born into a loving environment. While her exact breed mix remains a mystery, we suspect she's a blend of Pyrenees and Husky, though her smaller stature suggests otherwise. Regardless of her heritage, she is a true gem waiting to bring joy to your home. One of Ginger Spice's most endearing qualities is her exceptional animal socialization skills. She has grown up surrounded by dogs and cats, making her a perfect fit for multi-pet households. Her friendly nature ensures that she'll get along swimmingly with furry friends of all shapes and sizes. Born on December 22nd, Spice is currently in a critical stage of development, making continued socialization a priority. Therefore, we're seeking a loving family who will dedicate themselves to providing her with ongoing socialization and training, ensuring she grows into a well-rounded and well-behaved canine companion. In addition to her vivacious personality, Ginger Spice is undeniably gorgeous. Her striking appearance, combined with her friendly demeanor and playful spirit, makes her utterly irresistible. Who could resist those puppy-dog eyes and that infectious grin? If you're ready to welcome a furry bundle of joy into your life, look no further than Spice. Whether you're going for a hike in the great outdoors or cuddling up on the couch for movie night, Spice will be right by your side, ready to fill your days with love, laughter, and endless adventures. Story
NOTE: AURORA IS AT A BOARDING KENNEL IN MODESTO AND WILL BE TAKEN TO THE STOCKTON SHELTER ON JAN 15 IF NOT ADOPTED BY THEN. GSRSV IS LISTING AURORA ON THIS WEBSITE ALONG WITH OUR OWN DOGS TO GIVE HER MORE ADOPTION EXPOSURE. PLEASE SEE END OF THIS PROFILE FOR CONTACT INFO. "Aurora" is an approx 60-lb, 2-yo intact female Siberian Husky who is affectionate, playful & clever. n the short time I have known Aurora she has been very sweet and accepting of all people, including young children. Aurora likes to play with other dogs and is good around small dogs. Aurora does NOT do well with cats--she will chase them. Aurora did escape from the backyard once by chewing through her leash and scaling the fence. She is kennel trained. Aurora was found as a stray in Stockton in Nov 2025, yet she looked clean and was very well mannered--making me believe that a family had recently cared for her. Sadly, after two months no one has come to claim Aurora and dhe will need to go into the Stockton animal shelter on Jan 15th. It breaks my heart to send Aurora to the shelter but I cannot house her and I am presently paying to have her (and another dog) boarded at a kennel in Modesto. I have sought a foster home for Aurora without success. I fear she may not make it out of the shelter so am desperately trying to find her a home before Jan 15th. If she does go into the shelter I will continue to help her find a forever home. There is a $50 adoption fee for Aurora, which will include the cost of her spay (which is mandatory). Please contact Michelle Richmond at 760-576-6201 or richmichelle25@gmail.com.

Story
Update: If you submit an application we will be reaching out to you via email, several people are interested but have not checked their email and responded back. My wife and I took her off the street when she showed up at a coworkers door, after 3 months of searching we finally found the owner. The owner said when she got out of the house she didn't bother looking for her and went off to college, very cruel. She has never tried to escape our backyard or anything, I chalk her situation up to a very poor dog owner who heavily neglected her. She has some anxiety but once she warms up to her environment she is a fantastic dog. She does shed a lot like any Husky, gets along with our dogs but prefers to go be by herself. Anytime we come home she runs over and sits immediately, I have never seen a dog that want to be petted so much. She follows you around everywhere wanting pets and does not like it when you leave, she really wants to be accepted and loved, it is written all over her.
