Story
Her name is Luna, she is an Alaskan Husky. She is three years and eight months old. She is a very energetic dog loves to run around. The Husky breed is known for being escape artists so I keep her on a leash when walking her. I am trying to rehome her because of my financial situation. She is a healthy dog with no known illnesses and no special needs. She is a very cute and playful dog! She especially loves belly rubs. She is good with children and people. She is potty trained but when I am not home I leave potty pads out for her and she will go on those. I am extremely saddened to let her go but I will make sure she goes to a loving home and to someone who will take care of her needs.

Look no further than Ginger Spice, a delightful pup currently seeking her forever home in Sacramento! Ginger Spice's journey began in foster care, where she was born into a loving environment. While her exact breed mix remains a mystery, we suspect she's a blend of Pyrenees and Husky, though her smaller stature suggests otherwise. Regardless of her heritage, she is a true gem waiting to bring joy to your home. One of Ginger Spice's most endearing qualities is her exceptional animal socialization skills. She has grown up surrounded by dogs and cats, making her a perfect fit for multi-pet households. Her friendly nature ensures that she'll get along swimmingly with furry friends of all shapes and sizes. Born on December 22nd, Spice is currently in a critical stage of development, making continued socialization a priority. Therefore, we're seeking a loving family who will dedicate themselves to providing her with ongoing socialization and training, ensuring she grows into a well-rounded and well-behaved canine companion. In addition to her vivacious personality, Ginger Spice is undeniably gorgeous. Her striking appearance, combined with her friendly demeanor and playful spirit, makes her utterly irresistible. Who could resist those puppy-dog eyes and that infectious grin? If you're ready to welcome a furry bundle of joy into your life, look no further than Spice. Story
My wife and I took her off the street when she showed up at a coworkers door, after 3 months of searching we finally found the owner. The owner said when she got out of the house she didn't bother looking for her and went off to college, very cruel. She has never tried to escape our backyard or anything, I chalk her situation up to a very poor dog owner who heavily neglected her. She has some anxiety but once she warms up to her environment she is a fantastic dog. She does shed a lot like any Husky, gets along with our dogs but prefers to go be by herself. Anytime we come home she runs over and sits immediately, I have never seen a dog that want to be petted so much. She follows you around everywhere wanting pets and does not like it when you leave, she really wants to be accepted and loved, it is written all over her.

Story
**THIS IS A COURTESY POST. BIRDIE IS NOT IN OUR RESCUE, BUT WE WANT TO HELP HER FIND A HOME. SEE CONTACT INFO AT THE END OF THE BIO.** WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Birdie – because I am always in flight! ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I am a young girl. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born May 8th, 2025. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a Husky mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? A very willowy 37-ish lbs. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a gorgeous girl with a red coat and beautiful brown eyes. And I have to mention my EPIC party ear! One of my big fabulous ears loves to stand up all on its own and really gives me such a fun look! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I eat my puppy kibble for meals, but I get special treats of peanut butter, green beans, carrots, bananas and plain yogurt. Oh, and my absolute favorite treat is cheese! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I would play all day if I could! I am very gentle and submissive – unless it’s play time! I am still learning about the world, but with consistency and encouragement, my confidence continues to grow. I am curious and open to trying new things. You can also touch my ears, my tail, my teeth, my paws etc, I am very easy to handle. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Play time! I would choose playtime over food if I could! After breakfast, I would love to play outside with a canine companion until nap time. After nap time, let’s go on a long nature walk, as I really enjoy the quiet countryside, the birds and all the smells. Then it would be dinner time. After dinner, my perfect day would have another play session until it’s time to settle down with my humans before bedtime. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I really like to chew on antlers, and sometimes I get peanut butter put on top! I am not really into toys, as I prefer to play with my foster brother! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know ‘’settle down,” “that’s none of your business,” “come here,” ‘’wait,” “say hi!,” “let’s go!,” and ‘’go potty.” I am still young but I learn quickly! WHAT SCARES YOU? I am still learning about the world. I used to be on alert on my walks in downtown, but have really been building confidence now that I am safe in a foster home. I bark when a new person comes in the house, but settle quickly. I’ve made great progress in both these areas! HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? At my foster home, I have not been around children. However, I am very gentle and submissive, so I would probably be great with kids. DO YOU LIKE CATS? There are two cats at my foster home; one I do not bother as she’s grumpy, and one I really, really want to play with! We go nose-to-nose, but I am always leashed because I get too excited and want to romp with her! HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love playing with my canine foster brother! On walks, I have learned that other dogs are OK and I no longer bark at them. I would be so happy to have another fun dog to play with in my forever home. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Playing in the yard, playing in the grass, or playing at the park with a dog brother or sister! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Excellent! I have a gorgeous coat, my weight is perfect, my teeth are super white – I am very healthy! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with two cats, one dog, two 22 year olds and my foster parents. I spend most of the day in the office on my bed with my foster dad. In the early afternoon, I go for a walk with my foster mom, or we do a family trip to the levee. Late in the afternoon, I go to the rooftop to play with my canine foster brother – that’s my favorite time of the day! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am safe and comfortable in my crate. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate. I still wake up to potty, and will let you know, but afterwards will go right back to sleep. This should slow down as I get older. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON LEASH? I have been practicing my leash manners, and am doing great now! Originally, I was a bit wary of walking outside when we walk in downtown Sacramento, as there is a lot going on, but I am really starting to relax now, and can’t wait to show you how well I do! DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? For a Husky, I am not too vocal. I bark when a new person comes into the house, because that’s what my canine foster brother does. I may take about 20 seconds to warm up to someone new, but after that I just want to play with you! ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) Yes, we go outside every few hours, and I am really quick at going potty outside! DO YOU LIKE WATER? Not sure yet – it’s winter so we haven’t gone to the beach or river yet. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE US TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I am a really good girl, super sweet and loving. My foster family found me under a car in downtown Sacramento. I was confused and scared. I was just spayed and am chipped, but the owner on file never responded. My foster family is teaching me so much about being a good dog! If my canine foster brother is in the room, I need to stay leashed as I just want to wrestle and play, so I am working on having better manners in the house. Other than this excitability, I would say I am pretty much perfect! I’m so excited to find my forever family. Maybe that is you? I’d love to meet you! HOW DO PEOPLE GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? Please reach out to lisacor03@gmail.com with any questions and put BIRDIE in the subject line. There is a nominal adoption fee. Thank you for considering Birdie.

Story
Daisy is a purebred Siberian Husky that is 7 years old. She is a very cheerful and friendly dog that gets along well with most other dogs and people. She is house broken and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, come here, and leave it. She is an energetic dog that needs a lot of exercise and so would do well with someone that has an active lifestyle and would love a big yard to run around in. She mouths sometimes when she gets really excited, and for this reason might not be the best option for those with children. She gets anxious when separated, but does better if she has another doggie friend to hang out with while people are away. She is very smart and sweet and just wants to love on everyone. She is not up to date on her vaccinations but she has been spayed and is in good health. We need to find her a new home ASAP, our space and schedule are just not cutting it for her high-energy needs.
