Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ginger Spice! Are you ready to spice up your life with an adorable and energetic companion? Look no further than Ginger Spice, a delightful pup currently seeking her forever home in Sacramento! Ginger Spice's journey began in foster care, where she was born into a loving environment. While her exact breed mix remains a mystery, we suspect she's a blend of Pyrenees and Husky, though her smaller stature suggests otherwise. Regardless of her heritage, she is a true gem waiting to bring joy to your home. One of Ginger Spice's most endearing qualities is her exceptional animal socialization skills. She has grown up surrounded by dogs and cats, making her a perfect fit for multi-pet households. Her friendly nature ensures that she'll get along swimmingly with furry friends of all shapes and sizes. Born on December 22nd, Spice is currently in a critical stage of development, making continued socialization a priority. Therefore, we're seeking a loving family who will dedicate themselves to providing her with ongoing socialization and training, ensuring she grows into a well-rounded and well-behaved canine companion. In addition to her vivacious personality, Ginger Spice is undeniably gorgeous. Her striking appearance, combined with her friendly demeanor and playful spirit, makes her utterly irresistible. Who could resist those puppy-dog eyes and that infectious grin? If you're ready to welcome a furry bundle of joy into your life, look no further than Spice. Whether you're going for a hike in the great outdoors or cuddling up on the couch for movie night, Spice will be right by your side, ready to fill your days with love, laughter, and endless adventures. Don't miss out on the opportunity to make Spice a cherished member of your family. Story
Update: If you submit an application we will be reaching out to you via email, several people are interested but have not checked their email and responded back. My wife and I took her off the street when she showed up at a coworkers door, after 3 months of searching we finally found the owner. The owner said when she got out of the house she didn't bother looking for her and went off to college, very cruel. She has never tried to escape our backyard or anything, I chalk her situation up to a very poor dog owner who heavily neglected her. She has some anxiety but once she warms up to her environment she is a fantastic dog. She does shed a lot like any Husky, gets along with our dogs but prefers to go be by herself. Anytime we come home she runs over and sits immediately, I have never seen a dog that want to be petted so much. She follows you around everywhere wanting pets and does not like it when you leave, she really wants to be accepted and loved, it is written all over her.

Story
When my dad had moved out, he left his two dogs, one of them being this Husky. We’ve been trying to slowly re-home Mila for a while and just haven’t found anyone yet. She’s 4 going on 5, doesn’t shred stuff in the house, potty trained, doesn’t talk like a normal husky (just a small howl when she has to go to the bathroom or wants a treat), is good on a leash, and listens really well. She likes walks, hikes, being inside, cuddling, and absolutely loves anyone and other medium-big dogs. She’s honestly a great dog, she’s just not meant to be around cats, potentially small dogs, or birds - her prey drive is high. We tried making it work mostly so that my dad didn’t feel bad about her being re-homed, but 3 big dogs is just more than we can maintain financially and there isn’t enough time to give all 3 the attention they deserve. We have also been informed of the potential risk having a high prey drive dog around newborns and are planning to have our first baby this year.
