Story
Meet Brutus, a sweet boy working hard to overcome his past. Brutus came to us from a hoarding situation, suffering from hair loss and uncomfortable itchy skin. Due to his past, Brutus is understandably fearful of new people and situations. At this time, he seems to prefer women over men. He is seeking a home without small children, as they may be a bit too enthusiastic for him. Brutus will need a patient home, with people who are willing to help him gently experience all the things about living in a home that he has never gotten to experience before. Brutus has made some dog friends while here in the shelter, and would prefer a friend willing to give him space to feel safe and just hang out. We do not know how he feels about cats at this time, but are happy to provide guidance if needed. True to his husky nature, Brutus will sing you the song of his people when he has something to say!

Story
Meet Nyla! Nyla is a 7-year-old Husky who breaks the mold — she definitely doesn’t act like your typical husky! She was surrendered after her owner passed away, and while she was deeply loved, the change in circumstances made it difficult for her to stay in the home.Despite her husky roots, Nyla is well-mannered and eager to please. She walks nicely on leash, is fully potty trained, and is very food motivated. Nyla knows several commands including sit, down, paw, other paw, and speak, and she enjoys playing fetch — even bringing the ball back! She handled restraint well during her veterinary workup. Nyla is an active dog who will still need both physical and mental enrichment to stay happy and fulfilled. While she’s more laid-back than most huskies, breed experience is required so her adopter understands and can meet the needs of a working breed. A secure fenced yard is recommended to help provide safe exercise, and rumor has it she previously lived with another dog, so a dog interaction is required to see if your pup can keep up with Nyla and vice versa.Nyla is a smart, well-trained, and affectionate companion who’s ready to settle into a loving home that will give her structure, activity, and stability for her next chapter. ????

Story
Top of the mornin' to ya! It's me Mullen, the most pleasant lad you'll ever meet! You don't hear about many Irish Siberian Huskies now do ya? But, here I am! With my ginger-red coat I am the talk of the town, however, I can only be adopted in my town because I am kind of an anxious kind of fellow. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please. My new owners need to be patient and great at building confidence in me, as I never was loved on as a pup so I am still nervous with new people and in new situations. However, I am very smart and learn quickly!! Some basic information about Mullen; he is male, Siberian Husky mix, and expected to be medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
