Balto is the name and yes I am almost as AWESOME as the original Balto in 1925! I am a strong, intelligent, sweet and GOOD BOY! Please read up on my namesake, he survived some of the best and the worst times but finally ended up rescued and safe for all the people of Cincinnati to love and cherish until his death at 14 yrs old. So enuff about him, lets talk about THIS Balto!! Almost 100 years later I am looking for a fantastic family who will adore me and cherish ME until I pass at a ripe old age... I was found in a neighborhood of kids and I love kids SO MUCH that I was a frequent visitor of the elementary school, where the kids would play with me until school started. I can be a little nervous with new people (who aren't little ones) but I am overcoming that as well. My foster family is so awesome and they are widening my social circle :) I am great with all dogs and the cats too, in my foster home. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please. My new owners need to be patient and great at building confidence in me, as I never was loved on as a pup so I am still nervous with new people and in new situations. So my name is Diamond, which we all know is an END product of extreme pressure and raw materials.... and I think my name reflect me pretty accurately! I was found by my "owner" many years ago, but was abandoned by him when he broke up with his girlfriend and she inherited me..to put it nicely..... THEN, she couldn't keep me and I came to the rescue..... I am 6 yrs old but my eternal puppy face" can be misleading. However, I play like a puppy and am GREAT with other dogs! I am a gentle and happy girl who deserves my own family again! I have an OLD injury from my days on the streets, my back leg was xrayed and determined it is old injury and I take glucosamine for joint health. I am a fluffy, puppy faced sweetheart!
