She’s been living in a foster home this whole time, so you know exactly what you’re getting: a fun, affectionate, house-ready girl who will slide right into family life. If you’re looking for an enthusiastic companion, Ada is your girl. She lives for outdoor fun—water adventures, long walks, meeting new people, chasing balls, you name it. She’s full of life and happiest when she’s moving, exploring, and being part of whatever you’re doing. She even powered through a 5-mile walk recently and loved every second! Ada is smart and learning quickly. Her leash skills are improving (less pulling now!), and she just needs someone who can keep a good pace and enjoy adventures with her. She’s wonderful with kids and good with everyone—though she tends to pick a favorite person to be her shadow. She’s also working on her relationship with the resident cat. She needs a home that can provide both physical and mental exercise, consistent training, and someone who understands the Husky breed. She thrives when given a “job” or activity to focus her energy.She has done well with medium-sized, medium-energy dogs, but slow introductions are recommended as she can be nervous at first. She is not cat-friendly and should not go to a home with small animals. Huskies with experience will be the best match to help Willow channel her energy into positive behaviors and help her flourish.Willow is a spirited, loving, and highly intelligent girl who is ready to find the right home that can meet her needs and enjoy every wild, playful moment with her.

My wife adopted Legend from a shelter in 2019, he was originally surrendered at the age of 2 due to him escaping the yard, which we haven’t experienced ourselves. He grew up in a rough breeder household that was too small. He broke his paw at a young age and due to the overcrowding and injury that is why he is not dog friendly. He doesn’t do well either our infant which is the reason for our surrender. He’s overall a good and very quiet husky that needs some love and a place where he can roam the house. He likes to cuddle on the bed and loves his squeaky pig toy. If you don’t have any children or other pets he a a fine addition to the family.

Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption only, in San Antonio or TX area, $200.
