Story
Maggie Mae was pulled into rescue with her 9 adorable puppies. Now that she's done raising all of her kiddos, she is searching for her forever home! Maggie Mae has done incredibly well with all people, though she can be selective, a meet & greet is necessary with doggie pals, and would make an excellent companion and family dog. Applications can be found at https://www.sacredsycamoreanimalrescue.org/

Story
Skylar & Bella are Courtesy Listings and are not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for these pets. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pets' guardian. This is Skylar and Bella! They are amazing dogs!! They are siblings and just turned six on August 2. They love my cats and love other dogs, they love going to Ferguson dog park as well and always make friends. They give new cats space and will allow them to come up and check them out, but if there is an animal outside they will try to chase it. A fenced in yard would be amazing for them but not a necessity if you visit the dog park! Since they are six they have calmed down and enjoy laying on the couch and watching movies while snuggling, or they will play and run! They are fantastic with children as they have been around babies and up! They do not like their nails being trimmed so that will need to be worked on! They are both fixed!! Skylar is the male and he is white and tan with bright blue eyes, and his sister Bella is the dark brown and white with brown eyes! They truly deserve to be able to run and play as they want to. They really will be your best friends or your children's best friends. If you would like to inquire into adopting this pet, PLEASE TEXT or CALL 812-578-9732***Please ignore the Apply to Adopt button for this pet & contact the owner directly***

Story
Kyle is our longest term canine resident, but luckily he lives in a foster home and thrives on his routine there. Though he doesn't know his star sign, Kyle thinks he is probably a Virgo; he likes order and predictability! He knows just when it is time to go to his crate or outside for his walk, and he'd probably send you a calendar invite for those events if he could. Kyle is incredibly affectionate with his people, wanting to give kisses and sit in their laps. He makes some very funny noises, often sounding like the grouchy old man he is on the inside. He is quite smart and quick to offer a paw in exchange for a treat. Except...it better be the kind he likes, or he'll spit it out. Kyle lives with a male dog and two cats in his foster home. His foster reports that he mostly co-exists and doesn't care much to play with his dog sibling. If interested in Kyle, please email our Outreach and Behavior Coordinator Emily Herr at herre@bloomington.in.gov

Story
Nala is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian. Nala is a beautiful 6.5-year-old Husky who is spayed, microchipped, and full of personality. She’s sweet, expressive, and endlessly loyal — but she’s also a classic Husky with a big mind of her own.Nala is a runner and an adventurer at heart. Even with 10 acres to explore, she still dreams of roaming beyond the fence. Invisible fences haven’t stopped her; she truly needs someone who understands the Husky spirit and is prepared to keep her safe with secure, physical fencing and plenty of mental stimulation. She enjoys being around other dogs, but she really wants to be the center of someone’s world. When she feels ignored or under-stimulated, she may have an accident or push boundaries for attention. Nala is very smart — almost too smart for her own good — and thrives when her human is engaged, patient, and consistent.🐱 Cats? She hasn’t lived with them, but she will chase feral cats outside.👧 Kids? She does fine, but she can be hyper and may get jealous if she isn’t getting affection.🐕 Dogs? She does well with most dogs but prefers to be the star of the show.Nala isn’t aggressive — just independent, goofy, clever, and full of that iconic Husky sass. She needs someone who will give her structure, love, adventure, and the attention she craves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with personality, intelligence, and a whole lot of heart, Nala may be your perfect match. 💙If you are interested in Nala please call or text: 812-322-2886. ***Please ignore the Apply to Adopt button for this pet & contact the owner directly***
