Story
Sis has been DNA tested and results are in! 84% Husky and 16% Lab! Her foster pawrents currently have two other huskies that Lil Sis plays with, noted with supervision as she has tons of energy and a very forward play style. Lil Sis currently lives with a cat as well and they have seen a bit of chasing but only when the cat starts running, so best to always supervise if going to a home with cats. They suggest a home with a fenced in yard as Lil Sis LOVES to run and be chased! When Lil Sis is worn out, she is the biggest cuddlebug! This animal is staying in a foster home and is not at the shelter. Please put in an inquiry and an adoption counselor will contact you with the next steps. Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Story
Meet Acadia! This handsome boy is looking for the home where he can enjoy life. At 7 years old he still has so much life left, but he’s also slowing down just a bit. Acadia unfortunately found his way to us after his owner added a new cat, knowing that Acadia was not cat compatible. We are so sad for him, but we know that he has a future with someone who will love him like he deserves. Acadia has lived with dogs in the past, but seems to prefer female dogs. He also is content being solo. Acadia loves to explore, go on walks, and just enjoy your company. He is potty trained, fully vetted, and ready to go home. His adoption fee has been sponsored.

Dottie is a pretty little Siberian Husky-Mix puppy who came to Misty Eyes with her mother, Piper, and 7 siblings. Dad was apparently the Siberian, because mom appears to be a Min Pin-mix. Little Dottie is as cute as can be, has lots of puppy energy and playfulness. She and her littermates have done well in their foster home and are ready to find forever homes. If you`d like to meet Dottie, please submit an adoption application online at https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

Story
Meet Dually, a 5 1/2-year-old, 59.3-pound Husky/Shepherd mix. This friendly guy is always ready to greet you with a wag and a smile. He’s a big fan of treats and will happily sit for a snack or two (or three!). Dually loves spending time outdoors, whether he’s running, sniffing, or just enjoying the fresh air. While he’s still working on feeling confident with leashes, he’s making great progress and learning that walks can be a lot of fun. If you’re looking for an active, sweet, and treat-loving companion, Dually might just be your perfect match. Come meet him today and see if he’s the one you’ve been searching for! We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via FB Messenger or email us at jcasreception@co.johnson.in.us for an application. You can also find one on our website at http://johnsoncountyanimalshelter.com/adopt/. Once an application is submitted and approved, we can set an appointment to meet the pet! March 12, 2025, 9:35 am

Story
Eric or Prince Eric - as he likes to be called - was found wandering around looking for his castle. He is a very relaxed Husky who loves to be with people and snuggle on the couch. He is a very curious dog who prefers to be with people and is extremely athletic so he would need a 6ft fenced in yard. Eric has met other dogs very well and seems to be pretty social and comfortable around them. His play style can be overwhelming for some dogs, so a meet and greet will be required. Eric has met children and does very well with them! Of course, due to his size - supervision is always recommended. *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt *Please note that we do not operate on a first come first served basis.
