Story
This sweet boy was found in Leonard Park, presumably dumped. He is approximately 1 year old and underweight at only 41 lbs, so he has a little room to grow. He is daycare certified and dog-friendly. He has not been tested with cats, but my gut says he wouldn't be a good fit. Dingo is a very good boy who loves to run and play. Our best guess is that he has some shepherd and/or husky in him. He does great with other dogs and is potty trained and crate trained. He likely hasn't been treated very well and can be shy with new people, but warms up very quickly. He also doesn't like if you move your hands quickly near his head, and will cower, so he may be best in a home without small children. Dingo is vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchip, neutered, and on prevention

Story
Eric or Prince Eric - as he likes to be called - was found wandering around looking for his castle. He is a very relaxed Husky who loves to be with people and snuggle on the couch. He is a very curious dog who prefers to be with people and is extremely athletic so he would need a 6ft fenced in yard. Eric has met other dogs very well and seems to be pretty social and comfortable around them. His play style can be overwhelming for some dogs, so a meet and greet will be required. Eric has met children and does very well with them! Of course, due to his size - supervision is always recommended. *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt *Please note that we do not operate on a first come first served basis.

Story
As you can see from his photos, “graceful” is not a word we would use to describe Steve. “Enthusiastic” is a much better word. Steve is what we like to call a “big dumb dog”. Is Steve actually dumb? No. But he gives the essence of dumb. Probably not the brightest and certainly isn’t going to be an award winning genius any time soon, but he has that *vibe* that makes you think his intelligence is not his best quality. So what makes a big dumb dog? Happiness. Goofiness. The ability to make you laugh without trying. Just a total good boy. Steve loves to play, is great with other dogs, enjoys a good splash of water. Wouldn’t hurt a fly, unless it was just from knocking them over. Steve is a great dog who just needs some basic manners and he will be set to bring you the companionship and joy we all look for in a dog. We aren’t sure of his breed, but sort of get a shepherd/husky/??? Type feeling from him. Hes about 50lbs and 6-8 months old. Hes been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, and is current on flea/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $350.

Story
Meet Acadia! This handsome boy is looking for a home where he can enjoy the rest of his life. At 8 years old he still has so much life left, but he’s also slowing down just a bit. Acadia unfortunately found his way to us after his owner added a new cat, knowing that Acadia was not cat compatible. We are so sad for him, but we know that he has a future with someone who will love him like he deserves. He is a goofy guy and a typical husky. He can be aloof, but also has no problem requesting attention when he wants it. He loves to bounce around with you in excitement when he comes out of his crate in the morning, sometimes doing a little happy howl too. Acadia has done well with female dogs, and does get along with more laid back, males. He also is content being solo. Acadia loves to explore, go on walks, and just enjoy your company. Thankfully he has not been one to be an escape artist, and has respected his foster home's fencing (both chainlink and privacy fence). He is potty trained, fully vetted, and ready to go home. His adoption fee has been sponsored.

Story
Meet Willa!!! Rescued from a local shelter Christmas of 2021 after a hoarding abandonment case of 27 plus fearful feral dogs left behind in a property. The home was condemned, disgusting filthy. A home in such condition, no animal or human should have to live in. Willa is believed to be at most 18 months, She and 3 others call the sanctuary home, temporarily, all are doing amazing with their rehab, learning what life as a loved pet should be. Willia is unsure and fears new people and change but with patience she surly warms up. She is independent some and still unsure if she wants human affection but will always take a treat, sit next to your feet, moves in for petting, willing to snuggle and even cuddle. Willa loves all the dogs,is good with cats and small critters too. Willa has a missing eye. She either was born without it or lost it to trauma. It makes no difference to her. She is no different than any other dog. A 100% secured fenced in yard is a must, A home with other pets is required. At least 1 other balance playful dog for her to follow/gravitate toward. Willa has an amazing personality she herself is still learning she has. She has a banshee screech that will knock your socks off and scare the hell out of you. But no worries its her excitement happy noise she makes when overly happy and or excited. Always best to approach her slow at first, lots of butt scratches, treats, soft voice and if you enjoying singing she enjoys being sung too. Willa needs a lot of confidence still, and that requires a lot of patience with no set time frame and expectations ever. Allow her to live life 1 day at a time. Willa walks amazing on leash, barks very little but barks, will make her presence known and will seek human interaction as she follow other dogs doing so. Willa is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, de-wormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention.
