Story
Pete is a lovable, energetic dog. He is almost 2 years old. He needs a home with a yard, and preferably someone who is home more often than not, with the patience to continue training him. He needs a home without cats. We do not know how he is with children or other dogs in the home, but there have been no issues with other short interactions. He likes to run and play and go for walks, but he also likes to hang out at home and snuggle once his energy is out. He is crate trained. He enjoys his peanut butter filled bones and apple yogurt treats. He’s been a wonderful dog, but he deserves a home where he can thrive.

Story
Twilight is a 6 month old Siberian Husky/Carolina Dog mix. She was dropped off at IACS at 4 months old with a healing broken leg, a few broken teeth and severe dental issues that resulted in her having three teeth extracted. She was adopted in February by the neighbors of a coworker of mine who proceeded to either keeps her locked in a kennel inside that they wouldn’t clean out or keep her outside with no food or water outside of what my co worker was able to provide. About a month after she was adopted, she was dumped onto my coworker’s front lawn by her owner and kicked whenever she tried to go back to him. I have been fostering her since then, but have run out of time to be able to continue fostering her, due to my schedule keeping me from home for almost 10-12 hrs a day. She is a lovely, sassy little lady who loves playing, and attention, though is a bit nervous in new environments. She loves being outside, but will chase after any small creatures.

Story
Meet Budda (Boo-Duh) Budda is an energetic loving husky with a gentle heart and plenty of love to give. We rescued him when he was a newborn, and he has been a loving companion ever since. Budda is neutered and fully vaccinated (just due for his annual rabies shot), house-trained, and comfortable walking calmly on a leash. Friendly and affectionate and loves other dogs. He is skittish and shy with strangers but never aggressive. With our new baby, children and busy careers, we cannot give him the active, adventurous life he deserves. Budda would thrive in a home where he can enjoy long walks or outside time, playtime, and the attention he loves. He also loves food so be careful leaving the turkey on the counter. A few leashes and collars, Dog bed, crate and toys included.

Story
I have named this dog Honey because I had to call her something. She is ok with my dogs, but I took her for a meet and great at one home and their dog did not like her. She is skittish when people come over and barks and howls at them, but she sniffs their hands when they lower them to her nose. She is very loveable once she warms up. I have seen her around my grandson's and daughter's cats, and she seems disinterested in them, but I'm not 100% positive. She settles down whenever I sit or go to bed and she is not overly hyper. She just needs some loving care and training. I think a one dog home might be best for her at first, but she has met other dogs and been ok once they sniff each other.

Story
Samson Pete`s Compatibility:Dogs - YesCats - Not a good fitKids - YesSamson Pete is an 8-year-old Husky mix who is all about his people. If you’ve got a dog who wants to be involved in everything you do, this is your guy. He’s friendly, social, and happiest when he’s not being left out of the action. He has done well with other dogs and would be happy to meet any potential canine friends before heading home. He is not a match for cats. Like many huskies, Samson Pete is smart, active, and always looking for something to do, so he needs a home that can keep him busy in good ways. Walks, enrichment, and time together are his sweet spot.Samson Pete can struggle when he’s left alone, so he’s looking for a home where someone is around more often or has a solid plan in place for alone time. He does best with routine and knowing what to expect each day. What you get with Samson Pete is a dog who bonds hard with his people and wants to be part of your everyday life. He is ready for someone who understands him, gives him consistency, and lets him be the loyal companion he’s been waiting to be.
