Story
Boo is a tricky story. She was saved with her sister as a baby off a farm when they ran free from the start of life. At eight weeks old, we took her and her sister in. She was very timid, hence the name Boo, and appears to be the runt. She is afraid of a lot of things. She does not like being on a lead and paces in her kennel due to anxiety. She has started Prozac, but we were told it could take a month or so to take full effect. She likes to bury her head in your lap and receive pets. If you are patient and looking for a dog that will love you forever and be right beside you, Boo is your girl. She is an indoor dog and will always need to be outside on a lead, in a tall fence, or learn to be leashed. She is a special girl and well worth the effort. A much quieter environment will make a world of difference.

Story
Meet Woody! This 3-year-old Alaskan Husky truly is the total package; friendly, confident, and ready for whatever life throws at him. He gets along great with cats, children, and strangers, making him an easy fit for different households. Although he likes other dogs, given his play style, he would likely be better as the only dog in the house or in a house with another dog who is confident and enjoys rough-and-rowdy play, He has a passion for adventure but also knows how to settle down when it's time to relax. He enjoys walks, hiking, camping, and days spent exploring. As if Woody needs any more perks, he is also off-leash trained with a reliable recall and is crate trained. Since he is confident and well-adjusted, he isn't bothered by everyday noises or unexpected encounters (force dryer, drills, kids yelling/laughing, etc.). Woody just enjoys being part of your life. Unlike many huskies, Woody is surprisingly quiet. While he may occasionally share his thoughts, he doesn't do the classic husky yell/scream about 98% of the time, making him an excellent companion for people who work from home. Woody would thrive with an active family, couple, or single person who enjoys getting outdoors. He has successfully lived in multi-dog households with both male and female dogs and has also done well with cats and children. If you're looking for a loyal boy who also excels at cuddles, Woody may be your match.

Samson Pete`s Compatibility:Dogs - YesCats - Not a good fitKids - YesSamson Pete is an 8-year-old Husky mix who is all about his people. If you’ve got a dog who wants to be involved in everything you do, this is your guy. He’s friendly, social, and happiest when he’s not being left out of the action. He has done well with other dogs and would be happy to meet any potential canine friends before heading home. He does best with routine and knowing what to expect each day. What you get with Samson Pete is a dog who bonds hard with his people and wants to be part of your everyday life. Olympian`s Compatibility:Dogs - Let`s meet!Cats - Not the right fitKids - Yes, 8 and upOlympian is a Husky mix with piercing blue eyes, a personality as big as his name, and enough charm to make you forget whatever you were doing before you walked in here. He is treat and toy motivated, housebroken, already knows sit, and loves nothing more than being around his people. He is still young and has a lot of energy to burn, which is pretty on brand for a Husky. They are famously vocal, endlessly curious, and hardwired to be on the move, and Olympian is no exception. The good news is that he is smart and genuinely loves to please. He just needs someone who is ready to match his energy, put in the work, and give him the life a dog named Olympian deserves.Come meet Olympian. We have a feeling you are going to fall hard for this one!

Story
Sosa`s Compatibility:Dogs - YesCats - Not for this guyKids - Teens are more his speed (16 and up)Sosa is a comeback story just waiting to be told. Life didn`t start out kind for him, and he came into rescue having gone without a lot of the basics a dog should be able to count on. You`d never guess it now. He`s bright-eyed, bouncy, quick to drop into a play bow, and he greets his people with a full-body wiggle and a lick to the face. Whatever he went through, he came out the other side still believing the world has good things in it, and that kind of resilience is a beautiful thing to watch. He`s whip-smart and food-motivated, which makes training him a joy. He`ll sit before you`ve even finished scooping dinner, and he picks up new cues fast. Give this dog a job or a puzzle and you`ve got his whole heart. The last person who loved him nailed it in five words: puppy energy in a big dog`s body. He`s a husky through and through, with strong opinions he`ll share at volume, energy to burn, and a real gift for treating a fence as a mild suggestion. He needs a person who`s up for daily adventures because a bored husky writes his own to-do list. Sosa will do best in an experienced, dog-savvy home, with someone who leads with a steady hand and a pocket full of treats. That`s how you`ll bring out the very best in him. He`s already proven he can survive just about anything. Now he`s after the person who`ll show him how it feels to thrive.
