Story
Beautiful, beautiful Greta is a lovely girl who can`t wait to meet her human ??When Greta arrived at MCASAC, she was a wallflower. She was nervous and a bit shut down. Who can blame her?? All these new smells, sounds, and people trying to poke and touch her?To our delight, Greta`s nervous exterior shed within days, and out of her cocoon came a spunky, playful, trusting girl with a heart of gold. Her metamorphosis has charmed all of us here at MCASAC. To see our Greta, excited for her walks, ready to meet new friends, and take on every day with that zest for life that only dogs seem to have, just made our day!If you`re not taken by her affable personality, maybe her striking looks will seal the deal! Her heterochromatic eyes only add to her magnetism. Did you know that some people believe that a dog with heterochromatic eyes is an ethereal being, able to see both the heavens and earth? If you meet Greta, you`ll believe it too.

Story
Maxie is a Siberian husky, 1 year old. Birthday is on May 15th. Very lovable dog, loves cuddles and being treated like a king. Maxie has very high energy so he needs a lot of exercise, physical and mental. He doesn’t howl very much but when he does he’s trying to tell you something (sometimes he really needs to go potty at times outside of his schedule) Maxie is amazing with people and he gets along well with other dogs, he likes to feel like the alpha dog.

Story
We do not promote any of our dogs as house trained or allergy friendly. Looking for a hiking buddy with a husky sense of humor? Meet Yogi, a 2-year-old, 50lb whirlwind of energy who's been waiting a little too long to find his forever pack. This 34% Husky, 42% GSD, and 24% Super-mutt is equal parts adventurous explorer and lovable goofball. Here's the lowdown on this one-of-a-kind dog: * Hiker extraordinaire: Forget Netflix marathons, Yogi's idea of a good time involves conquering mountains and chasing squirrels (safely, from a distance, of course). * Shower of affection (literally): Yogi's ecstatic greetings involve either a generous dose of puppy kisses or an enthusiastic offering of his favorite toy. Be prepared for love attacks! * Structured silly goose: He thrives on routine and loves to please, but his Husky roots sometimes manifest in enthusiastic "conversations," especially if you're on the phone. Apartment living might not be his cup of tea, despite his previous foster not getting any complaints (townhouse), we don't want to push it. * Crate-tolerant, treat-motivated: While not a fan of his crate, a few tasty treats can work wonders in convincing him to settle in. * Aloofness is his charm (maybe): He might seem a bit aloof at times, but don't be fooled, this goofball loves nothing more than being around his humans. He might occasionally test boundaries, but his loyalty and intelligence make him a joy to train. * Mood reader extraordinaire: Yogi picks up on your vibes like nobody's business. Feeling nervous? He'll sense it. Feeling adventurous? He's ready to explore! Just remember, training is key, especially when meeting new people, as his excitement can get the best of him. Yogi might not be the perfect fit for everyone, but for the right family, he'll be the most loyal, loving, and adventurous companion they could ask for. Story
Meet Flynn, the most handsome, loving, work in progress you'll ever meet! Flynn is a 1-year-old Husky mix - possibly with Chow or another fluffy breed. Flynn is stunningly handsome and absolutely adores his people and other dogs, but because of a few "quirks," will require a patient adopter. We are unsure exactly what this boy went through in his early days, but it's obvious, it wasn't nice. While Flynn holds no grudges against humans, he is extremely timid. It takes Flynn time to warm up to anyone new. He seems much more at ease around women and children, though does warm up to men...eventually. He enjoys going to the dog park where he has become a superstar - romping and playing with the other dogs. He loves going for walks with his canine foster siblings. Flynn isn't a fan of being left alone but does find comfort in his canine foster siblings in these situations. Flynn's ideal home will have someone home for a good part of the day, at least one other confident dog to help him adjust, and a fenced yard because this fella loves the outdoors and lounging in the sun! He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives, and ready to find his forever home! This dog's adoption fee is $400. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Story
Who's a good boy!! This interesting mix of a puppy ( Shepherd, Lab, Husky, Dobie) was surrendered to a shelter by his owner along with 4 siblings. All are now in the care of wonderful Freckle Foundation fosters. Angus is doing so well with his foster family..Mom says.. "We are having a lot of fun. He is great addition to the household! Angus is hilarious - and is nearly potty trained. Due to that, we let them play with our pup in the living room. There was a lot of running and tumbling, and it was fun to watch. Angus kept trying (unsuccessfully) to slide under the couch. He is a great dog." He is 22 pounds now (born in May) and will be a big guy. Angus is loving, funny and eager to learn. Wanna make him part of the family? This dog's adoption fee is $400. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training - no exceptions! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives and will need to be spayed/neutered at the age of 6 months. Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or townhomes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Story
Meet this dapper Dude! Ari, says his foster Mom, is one happy pup! Sleeps in crate quietly thru the night. Knows his housetraining and is trying to do the best he can. Loves his toys, loves to eat and would love if his foster sibling dogs would play more! He is so into the kids and they adore him. Ari and his 4 siblings were surrendered into Freckles Foundation care and we found the best foster families to show them the world is really a nice place. They are loving soft beds and good food, clean water and loving laps. This big boy of 22 pounds is a mix of husky, lab, shepherd and dobie. Which means he will be smart , soft and super sweet. Foster mom said.. He is so calm and lovely. An easy boy who follows our directions and is learning also from our dogs. This is the perfect big family pup and would make a great new family member. He is what you are looking for..right? Atta Boy! Atticus! Bouncy boy Atticus (along with several siblings) are searching for that perfect family. One that appreciates a goofy silly pup growing into a body that will someday be rather large. ( at 10 weeks he is 22 pounds, already) Could be that combination of Mom and Dad - Husky, Dobie, Lab that created this soft fella full of love and joy! Atticus is adventurous and curious while ready to snuggle and kiss after the days antics. He loves dogs and kids and his house training is going rather well. Could he be that family member you are looking for?
