Story
Talia is a beautiful 2 year old husky mix that is looking for her forever family. This awesome girl weighs 53 lbs and has been in foster care for about 10 months. Talia was found roaming the rural areas of South Texas, hungry, emaciated, dehydrated… but hopeful. She ran up to a good Samaritans vehicle, tail wagging and excited to see a human being that acknowledged her. Talia is house trained and is the bestest girl ever. She is very gentle and would make a fantastic companion and house dog. She loves to be close to you and snuggle up. She is playful, but she would much rather relax, layout or nap around the house or in the yard on a nice day. Talia gets along great with other dogs, and she doesn’t even mind kitties! She gets along with children and would do great with almost all ages. She can be active if needed to play with them. Talia would do great going on walks or would be fine without them. She’s not picky at all and is one of the most relaxed dogs you’ll meet. Please help us in finding this amazing girl a home. Adoption fee includes: Spay or neuter, negative heart worm test, current parvo/distemper vaccines, bordatella (kennel cough), rabies vaccination, flea/tick and heart worm prevention, dewormer, microchip, and transport costs from Texas to the East coast. ____________________________________________________________________________________ If you would like to adopt this doggy/puppy, please complete an application on our website: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is spayed, healthy, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, current on preventions, dewormed and microchipped. A certificate of health is issued from a vet prior to transport. We are a small, struggling rescue in Texas where we do our best to prevent euthanasia in shelters and help stray and neglected animals find forever homes. Adoption fees are our only source of funding for the rescue. Unless otherwise specified at the top of the profile for this animal, this animal is considered to be located in foster care in Texas and available for transport once adopted.

Story
Looking for someone to stay up and have late-night chats? If you said yes, Ricky is the pup for you! While he doesn’t often take requests, Ricky does love singing the song of his breed. He also happily stays up chatting with his foster dad while he plays video games (his foster dad, not him, although Ricky does have commentary on how he is playing!)Ricky is currently living with four other dogs in his foster home and is gaining confidence through them. He loves playing with the dogs and has started listening to their corrections as he learns how to be a dog in the home again. For this reason, we think another confident dog in the home would be beneficial for this boy. Ricky will need continuous exercise, and is happy to run, walk and jog wherever you’d like to go. (However, we’re still working on the car, that thing is a little scary!) Ricky is house trained and crate trained but has shown to be fine left in a gated off area as well. Ricky is slow to trust but when he does, he loves his people hard. We’d love to find him a home with husky experience as he does exhibit typical husky behaviors that his foster parents are continuing to work on and he is excelling. What’re you waiting for? Story
Meet Timber!Timber is a sweet, beautiful dog who is eagerly waiting for his forever home. With his gentle disposition and striking appearance, he has all the qualities to become a beloved family member.Timber's journey began when he was found abandoned at an individual's home. Despite his rough start, Timber has proven to be a resilient and loving companion. He gets along well with children aged 8 and older, and is friendly towards all people. Though he is a bit timid around men, he shows no signs of aggression. With patience and love, Timber will surely overcome his fears and learn to trust completely. This amazing boy also enjoys the company of other dogs, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household. Timber thrives in his plastic vari-crate, where he feels safe and secure. Metal crates are not ideal for him, as he tends to bend the rungs. At home, Timber is well-behaved both indoors and outdoors when his foster mom is with him.Timber doesn't run loose; instead, he enjoys the freedom of a long lead or a walk on a leash with his foster mom. His size and strength mean that an experienced handler, preferably someone familiar with huskies, would be the best match for him.Timber is a loyal and affectionate dog who deserves a loving family to call his own. If you have the experience and heart to give Timber the love he needs, he will reward you with endless devotion and companionship. Could you be the one to offer Timber the forever home he longs for?Name: TimberBreed: HuskySex: MaleAge: 1 1/2 years  (estimated)Weight: 55.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 8Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  MississippiIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact. PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy's life.
