Meet Jimmy – The Fine Southern Gentleman (but now in New England)!Jimmy’s journey to New England has been nothing short of a miracle. Alongside his sibling, Rosalyn, Jimmy started life in the toughest way possible—just 9 weeks old, covered in ticks, starving, and fighting off parasites when they wandered up to a barn in February. But thanks to the quick actions of PNE, Jimmy’s story took a turn for the better. After an urgent vet stay to treat their tick-borne illnesses, Jimmy and Rosalyn moved into a loving foster home where they continued to fight for their futures.You would never guess his history, though, because Jimmy is a typical puppy – full of energy, curiosity, and a love for playtime. He has a strong sense of adventure and loves exploring outside. Whether he’s running around with his foster siblings or curling up for a nap after all that excitement, he’s sure to keep you entertained and on your toes. He’s doing great with potty training, having minimal accidents, and is quick to take cues from the resident big dogs in his foster home.This social boy is not nervous at all and loves everyone he meets. His first week in New England was filled with fun adventures, including making his debut at a school baseball game, where his infectious energy won over everyone he encountered. Jimmy is currently living with other dogs and kids ages 11 and 13, and he’s adjusting wonderfully to his new environment.Jimmy will be adopted separately from his sister, Rosalyn, unless you’re prepared for double the fun (and double the chaos!). The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicableATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact. PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life.
