Story
Meet Nash! He was saved from a high-kill shelter in California and has been being fostered here in Michigan. He is 18 months old and a smaller husky mix at only 52 lbs! He is neutered and UTD on vaccinations. We have been working on his potty training/crate training and he is finally ready to go to his furever home! He is incredibly affectionate and sweet with humans as well as being good with other dogs. No cats unless you are prepared to introduce them properly. Please message me if you are interested in giving this handsome guy his second chance!

Story
**Pizzaz is in a foster home and not at the kennel; however, he will be at the kennel every Saturday to meet you. If interested in meeting Pizzaz, please apply at k9stray.com** Pizzaz is absolutely beautiful with his light brindle coloring! He is estimated to be about 1 year old and weighs 56 pounds. Pizzaz is a very attentive pup who loves to just lean into you for love. He is crazy smart and absolutely loves food puzzles and doing anything that requires mind work. With only working with him a short time, he learned sit, touch, down and shake. You can tell he is a thinker, wanting to learn and please you. Pizzaz craves closeness too, he likes to sneak up in your lap any chance he gets, and he takes his treats very gently. We have also noticed he likes to lay in the sun coming through the window, oh how relaxing! Pizzaz does have some observed food bowl guarding though, but he is catching on quickly to “wait at bowl”. His adopter will need to continue to work on this with him. He needs an experienced adopter who knows how to instill leadership and understands the mental needs of the working breeds. Pizzaz would fit perfectly in a home that has lots of love to give and where any children are at least 13 years old. If you think you could give Pizzaz the home he deserves, he would love to meet you and have a forever family. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Pizzaz would love to meet them. He has a tall, confident approach with other dog with nice play bows. He really needs to go to a home where there is another dog, he just seems more content with a playmate. If you are interested in Pizzaz and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
**In a foster home and not at the kennel** This handsome guy is about 6 years old and 70 pounds. Deuce had a DNA test completed. The results are in and he is a Siberian Husky and Boxer mix. We thought for sure some Akita would be in there but what do we know? Deuce is a typical large breed dog- slow moving, calm, and laid back with short playful bursts of energy. He loves people and other dogs. Deuce knows sit, down, high five, shake, wait, stay, off and leave it. He is fully house trained and is currently in foster with an older male and younger female dog. His favorite things to do include time with his people, hikes, car rides and playtime, especially with other dogs. Deuce needs a knowledgeable and active adopter who can keep him challenged and set limits. Deuce initially displayed some food guarding at the kennel. This is not apparent in his foster care. However, his adopter will need to continue working with him so that it does not resurface. He needs an adult only home. Deuce would love a fenced in yard to safely explore. *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*

Story
Well, hello there Mr. Handsome with the blue eye… Kick is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 32 pounds. Kick is all loose and wiggly, just full of love and affection. He is a very attentive pup that will lean into you, and he has the cutest full body wag, so funny! He is very playful too and easily relinquishes his toys, what a good boy. Kick does need some basic obedience, but he is very smart and would just blossom with someone who can give him the structure he needs. An active home that can keep up with his playful and energetic personality would be his dream. Kick is such a sweet, nice boy, he can’t wait to find a family to love. He will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Kick would love to meet them. He has a soft, tall approach with other dogs and is ready to play. Meet Ky, your new best friend! This playful and affectionate boy is looking for a forever home filled with love, laughter, and plenty of adventures. Ky is around 1.5 years old and weighs 43 Lbs. Ky is a quick learner who's already mastered the art of leash walking. Ky loves routines and is such a fast learner. With a little time and patience, he will have your routine down pat in no time. He has done well with being crated if you need to go somewhere. Not a peep from him. He is a very easy going boy. He's a total sweetheart and loves spending time with kids. He is looking for a home in which any kids are over 8 years old. Whether you're heading to the park for a game of fetch or just relaxing at home, Ky is always up for fun. He's also a big fan of watching his friends play pickleball and is excited for the car ride to get there! Ky would thrive in a home with a yard where he can run, play, and explore. Having another dog to play with would be a bonus too! He's already met a few doggy friends and loves the chance to socialize. We can meet up to see how Ky and your dog do together. In addition to his fun energy, Ky has also learned to be patient and calm. After a good walk or romp in the yard, he enjoys relaxing by his human's side and soaking up some body scratches and hugs. If you're looking for an awesome best friend who's always ready for an adventure, Ky is the perfect dog for you! If you are interested in Ky and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch.
