Story
He needs someone that can give him the extra time and run with him and spend time with him. He doesn’t like other animals around him while he eats. He does not like cats at all. He does fine with other dogs if introduced properly and slowly. Needs to be fed away from other animals though. He loved to cuddle and to play. He likes to run and take walks and chew up toys. His favorite treats are chicken feet.

Story
We are listing Tucker for a couple reasons. He does have some food aggression. We feed him in his crate which does help a lot. He does not like cats though and we unfortunately have two cats. He is such a big lover and thinks he is a lap dog. He loves playing outside and going for walks. He likes playing fetch and he really likes howling like a true husky. He also knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and stay. We have taught him to do those things to wait to eat and he does well! He needs and deserves so much more than we can give him and deserves the best. ❤️

Story
Meet Olaf the 8mth puppy! Olaf is a sweet, goofy and playful puppy with the cutest underbite! He has been DNA tested and his results came back as followed- 41% Siberian Husky 29% American Pit Bull Terrier 16% American Staffordshire Terrier 6% American Bulldog 4% Rottweiler He loves meeting new doggy friends and does good with friends of all shapes and sizes, although he does tend to play pretty rough. He does best with other energetic, rowdy and playful friends! Olaf has a very quirky personality. He is the class clown at doggy daycare. He loves jumping like a pogo stick and he often trips over his very long legs that he has yet grown into. If you are looking for a silly and awkward pup- Olaf may be your guy! He does have an old leg injury that sometimes causes an occasional minor limp. He has been seen by a specialist, and it is determined that he does not require any special care or further appointments. His limp was very severe when he was a small puppy, however it has become less and less noticeable as he grows! Olaf is house trained and crate trained. For being half husky, he is a very quiet boy and is not a big barker/howler. He would make a great apartment dog if there are no breed restrictions! He can be quite the stubborn boy at times, but he is highly treat motivated. He is still working on not jumping up on people.

Story
Meet Chet! AMAZING BOY WHO IS SOMEHOW OVERLOOKED :-( This one-year-old husky mix has the cutest crooked smile around! He's 49 pounds and is one capable pup! Not only is Chet super unique with his imperfect grin and different colored eyes, he is one smart dude! He knows sit, takes his treats well, and enjoys doing food puzzles. We are able to take food/toys away with no issue. He's so much fun to be with! A fellow that enjoys life's simple pleasures, Chet is very tolerant and enjoys a nice full body rub. He'll thrive with continued training, mental stimulation, daily exercise and a yard to enjoy. He enjoys his time with our volunteers and hanging with his kennel mates as well. Based on our evaluation, we feel Chet would do well in an active home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. He may have the ability to live in a home with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. If you think he could be the guy for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our clever Chet!
