Story
Meet Olaf the 8mth puppy! Olaf is a sweet, goofy and playful puppy with the cutest underbite! He has been DNA tested and his results came back as followed- 41% Siberian Husky 29% American Pit Bull Terrier 16% American Staffordshire Terrier 6% American Bulldog 4% Rottweiler He loves meeting new doggy friends and does good with friends of all shapes and sizes, although he does tend to play pretty rough. He does best with other energetic, rowdy and playful friends! Olaf has a very quirky personality. He is the class clown at doggy daycare. He loves jumping like a pogo stick and he often trips over his very long legs that he has yet grown into. If you are looking for a silly and awkward pup- Olaf may be your guy! He does have an old leg injury that sometimes causes an occasional minor limp. He has been seen by a specialist, and it is determined that he does not require any special care or further appointments. His limp was very severe when he was a small puppy, however it has become less and less noticeable as he grows! Olaf is house trained and crate trained. For being half husky, he is a very quiet boy and is not a big barker/howler. He would make a great apartment dog if there are no breed restrictions! He can be quite the stubborn boy at times, but he is highly treat motivated. He is still working on not jumping up on people.

Story
***Crouton is in a foster home, so he is not at the kennel. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.*** Crouton is as cute as his name and just makes you smile! He is estimated to be about 5 months old and weighs 25 pounds right now, but he is sure to get bigger! Meet Crouton, such a sweet pup with the best ears! He went right into one of our wonderful foster homes where he is doing so well and feeling safe. His foster mom has so many wonderful things to say about him: Crouton is absolutely incredible. He is so smart and has already mastered the basic commands and some fun tricks, such as spin, twirl and "bam" laying on his side. He isn't much of a jumper and has already learned that to get pets he must not jump, so he sits at your feet. He has only had a few accidents and will "go potty" on command. Crouton isn't the best at walking on the leash, he pancakes down and doesn't want to move, but once the weather is a bit warmer, I'll take him out for more leash work (I'm positive he will catch on quick). Crouton is getting acclimated with his crate, with a treat he does "go to bed". Crouton sleeps all night in his crate, on the rare occasion he needs to go potty he will bark, we let him out, put him back in his crate and goes back to sleep. Crouton is not mouthy and has caught onto only chewing his toys. We have him training with a clicker. He is very treat motivated and wants to please. Crouton does well with dogs and cats, as well as my two boys and our 4&6 year old niece and nephew. We currently use a slow feeder because he eats so fast, it's really helped slow him down and enjoy his meals. Crouton can't wait to find a family that will love him forever and would really like it if you wanted to meet him. If you are interested in Crouton and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
***Deuce is in a foster home, so he is not at the kennel. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch.*** This handsome guy is about 7 years old and 70 pounds. Deuce is a typical large breed dog- slow moving, calm, and laid back with short playful bursts of energy. He loves people and other dogs. Deuce knows sit, down, high five, shake, wait, stay, off and leave it. He is fully house trained and is currently in foster with an older male and younger female dog. His favorite things to do include time with his people, hikes, car rides and playtime, especially with other dogs. Deuce needs a knowledgeable and active adopter who can keep him challenged and set limits. Deuce initially displayed some food guarding at the kennel. This is not apparent in his foster care. However, his adopter will need to continue working with him so that it does not resurface. He needs an adult only home. Deuce would love a fenced in yard to safely explore. If you are interested in Deuce and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and his foster mom will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. Story
What a happy smile! Susan is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 38 pounds. Meet Susan, a gorgeous girl with a heart as soft as her fluffy fur! This smaller-sized Husky may be a bit timid at first, but once she opens up, you'll be treated to a world of affection and gentle kisses. Susan is a young soul with a soft personality, seeking a family who will give her the attention and reassurance she needs to thrive. With some confidence building, positive socialization and trust building, Susan will just blossom. She already knows a solid sit and is eager to learn more, just looking for direction. If you're looking for a pup who will lean on you for support and fill your heart with love, please come and meet her, she can't wait to find a family to love. Susan will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old with her timid nature. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Susan would love to meet them. She can be a little scared and tries to make herself small with dogs with a lot of energy, she is definitely more open to a dog with a calmer demeanor and has a soft body approach with them. She also likes to "check in" with you for guidance and safety. If you are interested in Susan and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. Story
He needs someone that can give him the extra time and run with him and spend time with him. He doesn’t like other animals around him while he eats. He does not like cats at all. He does fine with other dogs if introduced properly and slowly. Needs to be fed away from other animals though. He loved to cuddle and to play. He likes to run and take walks and chew up toys. His favorite treats are chicken feet.
