Story
Snow is such a handsome boy! He is estimated to be about 18 months old and weighs 46 pounds. What an outgoing, playful, fun-spirited pup Snow is, so silly! He is also very connecting and just craves closeness, which is very nice with his soft, fluffy coat. He knows a solid sit too and is super attentive to you, he seems highly trainable. Snow also likes to give out plenty of kisses to make you feel loved. He is the perfect size, not too small, not too big, just right! Really what comes to mind with Snow is a sweet goofball! Oh, and he has the cutest feathery curled tail! Snow does have some mild food bowl guarding, but he is catching on quickly to trading up and is very responsive to verbal correction. His new family will need to continue to work on this with him. Snow needs a leader to set rules and boundaries for him. He also needs an experienced adopter who understands the mental and physical needs of the breed. An active home with a fenced in yard with room to run is a must for him as well. Snow needs an adult only home. If you are interested in Snow and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
**In a foster home and not at the kennel** This handsome guy is about 4 years old and 70 pounds. Deuce is a typical large breed dog- slow moving, calm, and laid back with short playful bursts of energy. He loves people and other dogs. Deuce knows sit, down, high five, shake, wait, stay, off and leave it. He is fully house trained and is currently in foster with an older male and younger female dog. His favorite things to do include time with his people, hikes, car rides and playtime, especially with other dogs. Deuce needs a knowledgeable and active adopter who can keep him challenged and set limits. Deuce initially displayed some food guarding at the kennel. This is not apparent in his foster care. However, his adopter will need to continue working with him so that it does not resurface. He needs an adult only home. Deuce would love a fenced in yard to safely explore. *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*

Story
Arctic is just stunning and those eyes so full of love. She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 45 pounds. Arctic is such a cuddle bug, she is just so excited to be with you and touching you! She is all loose and wiggly too, she is a happy girl for sure. You need to be a little careful because she is right under foot, only wanting to be by you. This little sneakster also wants to crawl right up in your lap and is always hoping for a belly rub, her favorite thing. Arctic loves to play fetch with toys, then she brings them back to you with a nice release, and has a solid sit, what a good girl. She does need a little work on jumping up for attention, a basic manners course would be wonderful for her. She can also be a little fearful and looks to you for comfort. Arctic needs an experienced adopter who can provide leadership, which she is looking for and structure. Her new family should also understand the mental and physical needs of the working breeds. She will need an active home with a fenced in yard for her to have room to run and where any children are at least 8 years old. Artic will also need a home with no chickens, turkeys and such. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Arctic would love to meet them. She is a bit apprehensive at first, but with time did warm up with some play and kept checking in with her handler. She would really benefit from some positive dog to dog interactions, she seems insecure with them right now. If you are interested in Arctic and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. MEET QUINN: Quinn is a charming 4-month-old Husky with beautiful blue eyes. Unfortunately, Quinn's previous owner had to surrender her, which is why she is now in need of a loving furever home.  One of the positives about Quinn is that she has a good understanding of using a crate and  house training. She is still in the process of learning to walk on a leash but is making progress. Loves to play with toys. Since Huskies are known for their energy and need for exercise, a home with an active family would be ideal for Quinn. She will thrive in an environment where she can run, play, and engage in various activities. A fenced yard would be preferred, as it would give Quinn the space she need to explore and burn off her energy. Considering the specific needs of Quinn, we request that potential adopters refrain from considering apartments, condos, or mobile homes. Huskies require ample space and opportunities for exercise, which may not be feasible in such environments. It's important to note that due to their breed characteristics, Quinn has a prey drive and cannot be housed with small animals such as cats, rabbits, or small dogs.  In terms of their future, Quinn would benefit greatly from continued training to help her become the best version of herself. Positive reinforcement methods and consistency will be key to her success.  Quinn will require regular grooming. If you are a dedicated and active family looking for a furry companion to join in your adventures, Quinn may be the perfect fit for you. With a little training and lots of love, this blue-eyed Husky will make a wonderful addition to your family.  Quinn is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedSpayedADOPTION FEE: $375 FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI.
