Story
Meet Olaf the 11mth puppy! Olaf is a sweet, goofy and playful puppy with the cutest underbite! He has been DNA tested and his results came back as followed- 41% Siberian Husky 29% American Pit Bull Terrier 16% American Staffordshire Terrier 6% American Bulldog 4% Rottweiler He loves meeting new doggy friends and does good with friends of all shapes and sizes, although he does tend to play pretty rough. He does best with other energetic, rowdy and playful friends! Olaf has a very quirky personality. He is the class clown at doggy daycare. He loves jumping like a pogo stick and he often trips over his very long legs that he has yet grown into. If you are looking for a silly and awkward pup- Olaf may be your guy! He does have an old leg injury that sometimes causes an occasional minor limp. He has been seen by a specialist, and it is determined that he does not require any special care or further appointments. His limp was very severe when he was a small puppy, however it has become less and less noticeable as he grows! Olaf is house trained and crate trained. For being half husky, he is a very quiet boy and is not a big barker/howler. He would make a great apartment dog if there were no breed restrictions (and he gets ample exercise)! He can be quite the stubborn boy at times, but he is highly treat motivated. He is still working on not jumping up on people. Olaf is up to date on vaccines, neutered, HW- and microchipped. Does Olaf sound like a good fit for your family? Reach out for an adoption application!

Story
This is really hard…. Barrett is my best friend and I don’t want this but my work and school schedule I don’t have enough time or help. I would love it if someone would let me see him from time to time. I put he doesn’t get along with dogs because he hates male dogs. A mellow medium to large female dog with slow introduction would be best. He typically stays between 49lbs-55lbs depending on time of year, mood, stressors.

Story
Meet Bella ! This sweet teenage pup is ready to find the loving forever family she has been dreaming of. Bella is a beautiful husky mix with a playful spirit, a curious personality, and plenty of love to give. She absolutely loves exploring the yard, taking in all the sights and smells around her, and going on walks where she can enjoy the outdoors by your side. Like many huskies, Bella has an adventurous side and is always eager to see what the day brings. Whether it’s a stroll through the neighborhood, a weekend hike, or simply playing outside, she is happiest when she gets to be part of the action. After her adventures, Bella is more than ready to curl up for a cozy snuggle session on the couch and soak up all the affection she can get. Bella is at that wonderful age where she still has playful puppy energy but is also learning routines and settling into her personality. She would thrive with a family who can continue helping her build confidence, enjoy daily exercise, and give her the love and companionship she deserves. If you are looking for a loyal companion who can keep up with your adventures and then happily cuddle beside you at the end of the day, Bella may just be the perfect match for your family! We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. May 28, 2026, 7:48 am

Story
What a sweet girl Maggie is! She is estimated to about 6 months old and weighs 30 pounds right now, but she is sure to get bigger. Get ready to fall in love with the adorable Maggie! She is a gorgeous girl with captivating blue eyes and an incredibly fluffy coat. With a timid yet playful nature, Maggie takes a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines through. Everything seems new to her and she just likes to take things slow at first. She loves nothing more than to snuggle up close, leaning against you and sneaking into your lap for some extra love and attention. Maggie is a really nice girl and can't wait to grow up with a family to love her. She will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old with her more shy personality. Maggie would love it if you came to meet her, she's ready to trust, open up, and fill your life with love! If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Maggie would love to meet them. She has a soft and playful approach with other dogs. She really seems to come out of her shell with other dogs, she came to the rescue with her mom, Danni. If you are interested in Maggie and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
***Deuce is in a foster home, so he is not at the kennel. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch.*** This handsome guy is about 7 years old and 70 pounds. Deuce is a typical large breed dog- slow moving, calm, and laid back with short playful bursts of energy. He loves people and other dogs. Deuce knows sit, down, high five, shake, wait, stay, off and leave it. He is fully house trained and is currently in foster with an older male and younger female dog. His favorite things to do include time with his people, hikes, car rides and playtime, especially with other dogs. Deuce needs a knowledgeable and active adopter who can keep him challenged and set limits. Deuce initially displayed some food guarding at the kennel. This is not apparent in his foster care. However, his adopter will need to continue working with him so that it does not resurface. He needs an adult only home. Deuce would love a fenced in yard to safely explore. If you are interested in Deuce and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and his foster mom will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*
