Story
Meet Harry! This stunning three-year-old husky mix is the definition of social sweetheart! He's 60 pounds of furry fun and is eagerly waiting for a family to call his own. You can't help but fall for Harry's eager optimism. He takes such joy in the simple things. Whether he's cruising the yard or tossing a ball around, his beaming smile is something you need to witness for yourself. Harry lives for exploring outside and a fenced-in yard is a must to keep him safe. He alternates his time rolling in the grass and entertaining volunteers with is goofy ways. Harry is very affectionate and takes his treats gently. He will benefit from continued training and work on his manners. Harry is eager to please and is a very capable boy. He is going to bring so much joy to the lives of the family that adopts him. Based on our evaluation, we feel Harry would do best in a home with adults or families with kids ages 12 and up. He may have the potential to live with other dogs and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. Story
***Cotton is in a foster home right now, so he is not at the kennel. If you are interested in him, please fill out the application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you!*** Cotton is such a nice pup and what a snuggler! He is estimated to be about 13 weeks old and weighs 14 pounds right now. Cotton is so very sweet, just a darling. He loves to cuddle and to just be with you. Cotton is a bit shy though, so he needs some confidence building, especially now while he is so young. It is important that his new family understand the commitment and amount of work puppies need before adopting. Cotton will also need someone who is home frequently because he can't be left alone for a long period of time due to being a puppy! Puppies require and deserve a lot of time and energy, but will repay their families with a lifetime of unconditional love and happiness. They are looking for families to make a best friend for life! Cotton will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old, due to his shy nature. If you are interested in Cotton and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
**In a foster home and not at the kennel** This handsome guy is about 4 years old and 70 pounds. Deuce is a typical large breed dog- slow moving, calm, and laid back with short playful bursts of energy. He loves people and other dogs. Deuce knows sit, down, high five, shake, wait, stay, off and leave it. He is fully house trained and is currently in foster with an older male and younger female dog. His favorite things to do include time with his people, hikes, car rides and playtime, especially with other dogs. Deuce needs a knowledgeable and active adopter who can keep him challenged and set limits. Deuce initially displayed some food guarding at the kennel. This is not apparent in his foster care. However, his adopter will need to continue working with him so that it does not resurface. He needs an adult only home. Deuce would love a fenced in yard to safely explore. *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*

Story
Snow is such a handsome boy! He is estimated to be about 18 months old and weighs 40 pounds. What an outgoing, playful, fun-spirited pup Snow is, so silly! He is also very connecting and just craves closeness, which is very nice with his soft, fluffy coat. He knows a solid sit too and is super attentive to you, he seems highly trainable. Snow also likes to give out plenty of kisses to make you feel loved. He is the perfect size, not too small, not too big, just right! Really what comes to mind with Snow is a sweet goofball! Oh, and he has the cutest feathery curled tail! Snow does have some mild food bowl guarding, but he is catching on quickly to trading up and is very responsive to verbal correction. His new family will need to continue to work on this with him. Snow needs a leader to set rules and boundaries for him. He also needs an experienced adopter who understands the mental and physical needs of the breed. An active home with a fenced in yard with room to run is a must for him as well. Snow needs an adult only home. If you are interested in Snow and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. Story
Milano is such a sweetheart and what a snuggler! She is estimated to be about 5 months old and weighs 24 pounds. This darling girl just leans in for love, nothing makes her happier than being close to you. She is very affectionate and likes to sneak in your lap and get all cuddled in. Milano can be a little shy and submissive though, but she is very food motivated, so that will be a good tool to build trust. She also needs some help getting used to the leash, she is not quite sure what to do and wants to be carried. Milano will do best with a leader she can look to for guidance and who can provide structure. She truly is such a sweet, loving pup, she is going to make some family so happy. Milano is a just baby so she will require lots of love, patience, and care while she grows and blossoms into the best dog ever. She will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old, due to her shy nature. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Milano would love to meet them. She has an “all in” playstyle with other dogs. She really came out of her shell when another dog entered the room. If you are interested in Milano and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. Look into my eyes, so dreamy! El Chapo is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 44 pounds. El Chapo is absolutely stunning, he is also sweet, calm and quite well-mannered to boot! He's attentive, and a very loyal pup who likes to be close to his favorite people, well, really anyone for that matter!. He's a very smart boy too and stays engaged with you. El Chapo already has a solid sit, will sit and wait for toys to be thrown, then releases with a soft mouth, very nice! He will thrive with a leader since he is looking for guidance and security from his person. If you're looking for a young, fun, and caring companion, El Chapo is really quite wonderful. He will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old. El Chapo is currently undergoing heartworm treatment at the rescue. If you are interested in El Chapo and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch.
