Story
Zane is a lovely almost 5 years old Siberian Husky. He loves treats and love to go on walks. Unfortunately, my son became allergic to Zane fur, and it breaks my heart to rehome him. We got Zane from an Amish town in PA when he was 8 weeks old. The new owner has to be experience with large dogs, not mind dog hair, have spare time to dedicate to Zane, be caring and loving.

Story
Burke was just a puppy when he was found as a stray in the summer of 2023. He needed some cleaning up, and he also needed to learn how to become a happy, well-rounded member of society. Fast forward to now, and here's Burke! He's a 1 1/2 year old husky mix that came to us from our sister shelters and he's had loads of training since his arrival. Burke is totally transformed, but he'll need a home where his training is reinforced so he keeps on being his best self! Don't get Burke wrong at all: he never means any harm! But he can get mouthy while playing if you let him. He knows very well how to behave though. Burke is friendly, sweet, happy, he listens intently, he LOVES to swim, fetch, and have a great time! Burke has lots of energy and a home with a nice yard to exercise in would be ideal. He needs a cat and kid-free home but he loves other dogs! He would love you forever if you took him on outings and adventures, and gave him the home of his dreams, forever. Please give bubbly Burke a chance! Story
Check out this super cool Siberian boy! His name is Ivan and he's only about 1 1/2 years old. Ivan is very sophisticated, especially for a husky! Ivan was found by a good samaritan, just wandering around a local Budweiser factory parking lot. Ivan was definitely happy about being safe and sound, and he's so eager to start all over again in a loving home where he'll be kept safe and cared for. Ivan is a mature, well-behaved boy that's mellow and very sweet. The only husky-ish trait that he has is a touch of a prey drive, so a home with no cats is best, but he's so happy to meet other dogs and he loves people of all ages. Ivan walks right by your side on a leash, he sits when asked, and he's so gentle while taking treats or anything you offer him. He enjoys trotting off after a toy or ball but he's not all goofy and loony about it.....he's more gentleman-like! Ivan prefers leaning on you to have you pet him and dote on him more than anything else. This guy will be your best and most loyal buddy if you welcome him into your life! Story
Willie is going to get you up and moving, and keep you laughing too! He's just under 2 years old and Willie is a bright-eyed and bubbly husky that was found as a stray. Willie is all husky and he's always ready to goof around and have lots of fun! Willie has lots of energy but once he gets his jumpies out, what a good boy he is. He sits instantly when you ask him to and he's very gentle with taking treats. He loves to run off after every ball that you'll throw for him and will even occasionally drop it at your feet! Willie walks well on a leash and has had training in his day. He's good with dogs but since Willie has a bit of a prey drive, no cats for this guy. Willie would do best with older, sturdier kids, simply because he can be a little bit mouthy while playing. He doesn't mean any harm at all.....just typical husky! Willie will bring so much fun to your life if you welcome him home. Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#71595 4/6/24

Story
Puma's Key Attributes: Loving, Adventurous, Silly, Outgoing Summary: Puma is a friendly, energetic, affectionate, and snuggly fella. He enjoys playing with toys and loves to play fetch. Puma thrives with regular exercise, including a daily park excursion with sniffing and exploring; he loves investigating the woods/streams/fields. Puma also likes to just lounge around in the yard and soak up the sun. Puma really enjoys being with his people, including laying in your lap like a cat, but he also does very well alone in his own room. He is currently living in a foster home and house-trained. Other Dogs: Puma loves other dogs and is a bit obnoxious at first due to his excitement. He will do best with slow, well-managed introductions with other dogs that handle his antics in a playful but stern manner. Once Puma relaxes a bit, he is an enjoyable walking buddy and playmate for other dogs. He would also do great as a solo-pup in the household. Self-Entertainment Activities Puma Enjoys: Food Puzzles, Chews/Bones, Squeaky Toys, Stuffies, Cardboard Boxes, Empty Plastic Bottles Background: Puma was found as a stray in Philadelphia in November 2023. His finders learned that was too enthusiastic about their cats, so he was taken to Philly ACCT. Puma was adopted for about a month, but the newborn baby in the home was allergic to him, so he was returned to ACCT in late December 2023. Puma was timestamped for euthanasia, so Northern Exposure Siberian Husky Rescue welcomed him into their foster-based rescue on 12/30/23. Story
Pickles is a courtesy post. Please fill out an application at rescueridge.com   and your information will be sent to his family who needs to rehome him. Monmouh County, NJ. Here is the information from his family:"Loves people of all ages and wants to be with you and play. He loves other dogs but not sure about cats so I say no cats. He is about 1 year old now. According to the vet, he’s a Mix. He’s Husky/Stafford Pit and perhaps Shepherd. Short hair dog. He would be great with other dogs so he can play. Knows "Sit" and "Paw." Needs room to run around. The only reason my sister needs to find him a home is because he jumps. My sister is on a cane and not sturdy. She has fallen and can no longer take chances that she will get hurt badly. He may need some training in that area. He does know some commands. He has been in a kennel but not in crate. He has gone to someone’s house who house sits about 6 dogs or so at a time. He loved it and the woman had no issues with him. He played all the time with the other dogs and even her two great Danes. I would say he’s high-energy type. He has a fear of cars, getting into a car, because he was dumped a few times by previous owner who did not take the time to be with him and dumped him on his ex who then did not want him either." Please apply to help this dog-friendly, sweet young pup find the right family to love him. Please text 732 546 8805 to let us know you applied and we will alert his owner. .Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 11, 2024, 1:35 pm
