Story
I’m Rarity, a 1-year-old Husky Mix weighing 44 pounds of puppy-like energy and manners. A vocal girl when feeling unsure, it’s best to build my trust with patience and kindness. When I’m comfy cozy; I’d love it if you let me have my zoomie moments as I’m still a growing young girl at heart who needs her exercise. A fun, silly, loyal lady I will be for sure! The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!

Story
If you KNOW huskies, then you know Arctic. Arctic is 3-years-young and came to us as a lost dog that was never claimed. What we know about him is that he loves to be outside, like most dogs his breed! Arctic is smart (sometimes too smart for his own good) and is an escape artist so a secure yard where he can roam and hang would be a must for him. While Arctic does love his human friends here, he’s not the type to accept unwanted or sudden hugs or handling – rest assured though, when he’s looking for some gentle affection.. he’ll come to you. Arctic has shown that he is a sweet and and loving boy with the people he trusts the most. The best thing about Arctic is that he shows clear signs when he’s uncomfortable which is why an experienced adopter or rescue is a must for him. Arctic has been on pair-walks with other dogs and has done well – we do this he could co-exist with another compatible dog in his new home. Arctic will need a low-traffic, adult only environment where he can learn to be the great dog we know he is!

Story
Get ready to party because here comes Arlo! This 2 ½ year old Husky Mix weighs 73 pounds of festive vibes mixed with lots of fluff and drool. Bouncy with no sense of person space, this big smiley boy doesn’t seem to know his own size when he wants to lean in for cuddles. Toss some squeakies his way and he’ll happily pounce around while trading his goodies for a fun game of fetch. Muscles are required for outdoor walks as he’s one athletic stud-muffin. Since he’s not a fan of small critters or other canine buddies, an active home where he can be king of the castle would be a blast for this guy! The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!

UPDATE ON PICKLES THE COURTESY POST HUSKY MIX. Contact by text 732 546 8805 and your information will be forwarded to Pickles' owner. Apply at rescueridge.com once you text. "Pickles is doing great.  Now one year old.  He is a neutered Husky/Shephard mix (mostly Husky), according to the vet.  He loves to play to get all his energy out, so a fenced-in yard is best for him, but he is currently trained on an electric fence.   He has a girlfriend and just loves all other dogs he meets.  He has never been with cats so do not know how he will react.  Pickles has been receiving training and hopes someone will continue it.  He’s great with all people of all ages and children.  The kennel where he goes to daily where he loves to play, the woman said he’s a fabulous dog.  Just has lots of energy and needs a companion.  However, he is very strong.  His problem is getting out of cars as something had to have happened to him in the past.  Could be he was dropped off at several locations when he was a puppy  Pickles needs a playmate to keep him busy and help him run all day.  He does run on his own, but he tends to get bored quickly.  He’s very smart and always wants to please.  If you or anyone you know is interested in this sweet, loving puppy, please contact me.  My sister is walking with a cane and he’s too much for her to handle on her own.  She needs a therapy dog who is older." Pickles is a courtesy post. Please fill out an application at rescueridge.com   and your information will be sent to his family who needs to rehome him. located in Monmouh County, NJ. Here is the information from his family:"Loves people of all ages and wants to be with you and play. He loves other dogs but not sure about cats so I say no cats. He is about 1 year old now. According to the vet, he’s a Mix. He’s Husky/Stafford Pit and perhaps Shepherd. Short hair dog. He would be great with other dogs so he can play. Knows "Sit" and "Paw." Needs room to run around. The only reason my sister needs to find him a home is because he jumps. My sister is on a cane and not sturdy. She has fallen and can no longer take chances that she will get hurt badly. He may need some training in that area. He does know some commands. He has been in a kennel but not in crate. He has gone to someone’s house who house sits about 6 dogs or so at a time. He loved it and the woman had no issues with him. He played all the time with the other dogs and even her two great Danes. I would say he’s high-energy type. He has a fear of cars, getting into a car, because he was dumped a few times by previous owner who did not take the time to be with him and dumped him on his ex who then did not want him either." Please apply to help this dog-friendly, sweet young pup find the right family to love him. Please text 732 546 8805 to let us know you applied and we will alert his owner. .Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:24 pm
